As someone diagnosed with PTSD, hearing about Bunny's moments where she experiences some of the same things I do break my heart. I'm so happy she's with such kind, loving, and understanding people. You're doing such amazing things for her. Thank you.
Greyhounds in kennels don't have a bad life, they aren't rescues they are simply retired. They aren't abused or neglected, they just get a full night in their crate or run to themselves without human interference. They get let out daily into yards with other dogs to socialize and get human interaction with workers or kennel owners they are familiar with. Racing dogs especially are fed well, they eat an almost entirely if not entirely raw diet. Bunny is AMF Loose Lips (her registered name) and was well taken care of before Jenna and Julien, she just isn't used to this lifestyle yet and the breed can be jumpy and nervous in unfamiliar situations.
@@clanworgen4645 I don't think Bunny ever raced - she's only 3 or 4, and in their video introducing her, they said that she didn't have a name she responded to, and was kept in a dog blood bank. In the state of California I believe there are strict regulations that state that vet clinics can only procure blood for transfusion from two sites, and these sites (allegedly, from what I've read) keep their dogs caged in donor colonies, and draw blood on a schedule every couple of weeks. @@taylormchugh5716 You're correct, her littermates raced but she didn't make the cut. I am just commenting to clarify that kennel greyhounds (racing or blood donors) are not rescues simply because they lived in a kennel setting. They don't need to be saved, they won't be killed when they are no longer useful, they are not poorly treated, they are simply retired.

I like that y’all talk about Bunny’s trauma and how y’all work through it.
I have a lab that someone tried to drown by chaining him to a rock and throwing him in a river as a puppy (that’s what I was told anyway) for years he was scared of water. Not just for him but like if I took a bath he would jump on the side of the tub and cry like he was scared that I was drowning. He’s 7 now and swims in the pool and even in the bay! But those first few years you have to be so gentle and patient with them.
