This is a great idea, very unique style for bonsai 👍🏽 If you decide to add more "roots" or replace the damaged ones, I highly recommend using Vet/Athletic tape for fusing. It works wonders and even helps with securing "root over rock." I got the idea from "Tony's Bonsai"
Great tip too - I think I am leaving them on too long and that almost any tape left on there for that long would fuse with the bark. I should probably change it every month or so.

Thanks for the tips - never thought of athletic tape. I'll give it a try because I will be doing some more work to this one for sure.
