Lomo Saltado aren’t fries at all it’s a full on dish. It’s one of Peru’s National dishes and it’s incredible.

No thats not true, we do give credit. We have our own versions in Ontario, but Candians know that Quebec has the best poutine. They are still Canadian, and we are just enjoying food.

Technically most of the fries are kind of an honor to the Belgian frites since that's the basic "french fry." There's no reason they would show Belgian fry when that's what most people think of and is the base of many of these dishes (like the American one).

@K4 Josiah the north side of belgian speaks dutch and the south side speaks french actually but years ago travellers were discovering france but they accidently crossed the border in Belgium over there they tatsed the fries so they called in french fries because they tought they were in France (im sorry for my bad english still working on it...)

The "Bratkartoffeln" recipe was very good but it's more like roasted potatoes and it has nothing to do with how germans eat fries.
The normal version would be "Currywurst Pommes" which is a sausage with fries and a special currysauce dusted with currypowder.

In the Netherlands, we usually eat them with just some salt and some mayonnaise, ketchup or curry sauce on the side. Along with some snacks foreigners probably think are weird. (Frikandel, kroket, bitterballen, kaassouflé, etc.)

Batata Maglieh literally translates to fried potato. Lebanon just has regular fries but eat them with their garlic sauce which is very tasty.

In my country we pretty much the same dish, minus the bacon and onion though.
In Jordan we do minus the bacon and onion and it's delicious but we don't consider it fries.
