In the Philippines, we actually have traditional breakfast food such as Lugaw, Champorado and Sopas are the most common one, and it's not complete if you don't have Pandesal and Coffee, Milk or Chocolate drink. Having this food makes us feel like to start up the day fully awake, with energy and ready to go to heavy work at office or studying at school
Porridge, champorado and/or hot choco are not really the most common breakfast in the philippines as you believed. They're common when it's rainy season or a snack. The most common breakfast in the philippines are fried rice, sunny side-up, sausages, bacons, and dried fish. And you're not filipino if you don't know them all. 😊
4:10 I ate this french breakfast as 'snack for try' alongside with my class and teachers in "Charlotte" at Saint Stephen Square (Plac Szczepański) in Krakow, Poland. Also, the polish breakfast is simply: A sandwich (open one, traditional (in roll) or even a bagel one) or mashed eggs with buttered bread on the side and coffee or tea.
I am Indonesian and the fact is Indonesia has so many ethnicity, that almost every province has a different kind of breakfast, For Example We From South Sumatra Province eat Pempek which basically a fish cake with palm sugar Chili Sauce
I like learning about various cultures through their food. I’m American but I have come to prefer less sweet breakfasts, rather each leftovers from dinner than pancakes, cereal, etc.
I'm impressed they actually got it right, at least for finland and sweden. Generalizing obviously but I'd think those are some of the most common things people eat. This got me really interested in trying other countries breakfast foods too!
6:55 To be more accurate that dish is called Nasi Lemak. It is our National dish, we also have it for breakfast (heavy breakfast). Rice cooked in coconut milk, served with fried anchovies, peanuts, egg (omellete or hard boil) And....Sambal.
Mmm I love Jamaican breakfast it's the best. You get ackee and salt fish and sometime fry dumpling and tea. Fry dumpling in Jamaica is a dumpling rolled up into a ball then fried. Um actually eating that for breakfast right now
