Disclaimer: Aside from some issues, overall I have a very positive opinion of the game. Read the negatives with stream for the funnies
Marni realm is the best thing they made especially alternating every hour. No more wasting time dfs or being bullied out of a grind spot. Kudos for PA.😊. I love BDO!
Insane what kind of people have 10k+ or 30k hours and are that mad about these changes.
I am close to hard cap gear with 15k hours and i honestly don't see much problem with the PvP changes.
Don't get me wrong, they could have done it better, since i honestly dislike the family wide karma system, while not even increasing the maximum or decreasing the karma u loose.
But overall BDO became extremely toxic and the "PvP" people talk about was mostly overgeared a**holes running over lower geared people and it rarely ever created an actual fight.
Karma bombing and griefers are still a problem and i totally get that, but PA already did a few things to reduce that.
Marni Realm and the low server switching cooldown is very helpful to avoid these things.
Most people are not karma bombers or griefers, so it's very likely u either gonna find an empty spot after changing, or at least a person who isn't either of those two things.
Open World PvP still exists and if u really this hardcore PvP Andi who wants to fight with people when ever u see them...there is still Arsha boys.
But the people on Arsha all know how to PvP tho...so maybe that's the problem of these people after all...they don't want PvP, they want to win.

at 5:35 i was not playing the game since 2017. And i still managed to get the info about the transfer to do it! thanks to that 6 year after i still have my account whit everything xD
We need an actually battleground with decent rewards and objectives and gear cap.
i have played bdo for almost 18,000 hours and i look forward to the next 18,000. i have become a life skiller because i'm tired of all the killing in video games. bdos character creation is the best; no other game allows so much detail customization. i can spend days perfecting the looks of my characters. besides the great scenery and effects, you can choose whatever you want to do. yes there is some pay to win but they have to make money to produce this game. sometimes pearls go on sale 2 for 1. and almost everything goes on sale, even lower with coupons. bdo gives away lots of outfits, a t9 horse, magnus storage, pets, value packs, and tons of other stuff. i spend roughly $100 per year and have almost everything i want. thanks bdo for such a wonderful game.
First impression is everything. One thing that always happens and astonishes me is that our guild is french canadian, so we're in NA, and a lot of new players have their Windows set in french with their Steam in french. Well, you see, in the main menu as well as in the whole tutorial, you're not allowed to change your key bindings and you have to play the WHOLE thing in AZERTY, moving forward with Z instead of W and going left with Q instead of A. This is straight unacceptable. A lot of people here must be uninstalling right away just because of that.
Feel bad for guy who lost his characters. I do not agree with the statement that it was his fault. There are a lot of reasons why someone couldn't play a game for a long time or get some specific information about it. And I believe that the majority of players just enjoy the game, they don't really need this game's social media or UA-cam channels.
EU 20k hours, nearly hardcapped my gear only missing 2 dawn earrings and im done. Dropped the game after the guild dec and karma changes and i know a lot of other pvp enjoyers move on from the game as well.
Idk if PA cares about vets dropping the game but i do hope they revert the changes.

18 k hours + now. love the game. even if i am playing new world atm :D trying out the new dlc

I am someone who lost their account due to the transfer. I started a new account. I have a higher gear score, more maids than before. The only things I don't have like before is T4 pets, a hedgehog, and the p2w tent. I refuse to buy these things again but I am having fun with the game again.

Yea account change sucked. Definitely annoying to repurchase but gear wise you get much farther now.

"dont you check your emails" sounds like you only have like 1-2 emails (no blame) but i for example have over 20 for different games accounts etc on my main one i have 11.195 unopened mails im pretty sure you can imagine how many of them i read especially on my emails i only use from time to time

Regarding the guy who lost his account during the transfer.
While I don't know what he expected PA to do, considering that he is mentioning he provided them proof of purchase, I'm assuming that he wanted PA to "refund" him his pearls. I believe he'd be fine starting the game anew, if he didn't have to go through the process of buying everything again. If that is the case, then I do agree with him. PA can easily send him a mail with, let's say 100$ worth of pearls, after all it is fake money. But, by not doing so, it is understandable that this player left off with the impression that PA doesn't give a fuck about their player-base.
Pearls are fake money? By that logic the government should just give you $1000 because it's fake money. Pearls work anywhere in PA's game. Money works anywhere in your country. You can't just act like giving away hundreds of dollars of in game goods is free for a company. Especially since PA isn't the one who got his money the first time around. This take is based on how bitter you are and not reality.
They made allot of the changes because of stupid PvP trolls. I like the PvP changes tbh. The PvP troll tears are so good, thank you BDO!
I think guild war change is good but more marni time isn't. Guild war change is good because there is basically no penalty for the killer then and some strong guilds can really just forcefully bully others without any possible penalty. While more marni time means it kind of supports players spending many hours a day on a video game which isn't good in some ways and another thing is that it makes the world more empty which is a bad thing for an mmorpg. 1h a day would have been enough of pvp free grind and if people need more play hours then just fight for it :)

We still have Nodewars, RBF, AoS , why people are bitching around? I think the PvP players have a lot of content, now the War of Roses is coming aswell. On the other hand the PvE player base (Lifeskilling excluded) has almost only Solo oriented content which isnt that fun after grinding thousand of hours in circles. Yeah we have the Boss Blitz thing but thats about it for challenging and fun content. Some People enjoy grinding in circles but for me after 1-2 hours it gets really boring and it feels not like i have joy doing it and i dont think that many people enjoy it, i think that they just do it to progress and just take the bite in the sour apple. The dungeon implementation was a nice move from PA but the execution of it was dog shit. The dungeons are not interesting at all. We need dungeons like in WoW, Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls. Even New World has better PvE Experience now and they also have some form of action combat. We need good indicators for the dungeons to see when to dodge and other interesting stuff within the dungeon. It might require an engine update which is costy. I always asked myself , why they dont add damage numbers into the game. Then you would also see which classes need improvements/nerfs.
Every game has pros and cons. Every game has players that will have personal preference. For the damage numbers they already responded to this in an article in 2017.
maybe getting old but longer i play games more i think generations of players turning in too - give me all or 1/5, need play for 2 weeks to get something ? 1/5, i need skill to beat up mob ? 1/5, got error 1/5 in every single game not only MMOs

There is a whole server dedicated to PvP. That guy leaving that PvP changes negative review is stupid. IF he really wants to PvP all the time he could just make Arsha permanent. Just an excuse to quit. Also, I think going forward, BDO is changing direction a bit to be more PvE friendly. But we shall see.
