Mannnn that quilted trans amber looks SICK on that King V! I've gotta be honest, i've had mostly floating tremolo equipped guitars most of my life (majority of them FR copies) and I've never seen tuning go THAT far out or that quickly from using the floating tremolo 😳 Sorry to hear that even with proper setting up (a lot of floating trem issues, even in cheap copies are just bad setup) hasnt helped because thats a gorgeous King V 🤘🏻
I would recommend getting an original made in germany floyd rose and upgrading it with some of the fu-tone titanium hardware as well as a big brass block. Its alot cheaper than buying a whole titanium trem and gives the same stability
@mitchavedon another option i would check out would be the sophia 2:92. Fits just like a floyd and you dont have to clip the ball ends, and their signature global tuner brass block is insane
thinking of starting guitar. i play drums and piano, but guitar is something i honestly would love. i googled what james hetfield used and it said a jackson king v. idk if i should start electric or acoustic. acoustic i cant plug headphones into while practicing. electric i can in the amp. got any ideas?
Start with the kind of guitar you want. I think people who tell everyone to start with acoustic are wrong. Pick the instrument that allows you to play the style of music you want to play. Pick the one that's going to inspire you to keep practicing and playing. Don't pick an instrument that you're not interested in just because someone else says it's better. Unless you're interested in playing acoustic, It'll likely end up collecting dust in the closet.
Go to a guitar store and pick some up and play. I really like Jackson, but they have Floyd Rose bridges which can be a little complicated to set up for a beginner. Epiphone and Harley Benton have good guitars for beginners. Regardless of what you play, the hardest time to play guitar is when you start. Just practice practice practice and you will get better. Since you already play instruments youll have an easier time. Have fun!
@ Thanks bro, I have a RR5 that has been an absolute wonderful axe for me the past few years. I paid $ 1000 for it and is worth every penny and then some 🎸🎸🤟🤟
I have a Jackson King V Pro, ( I don't use any tremolo bars BTW). When I was in the market for a guitar, it was between a Gibson Flying V new and a Jackson King V Pro new. Anyways, there was no comparison. The Gibson was horrible. It did not feel right and the sustain was mediocre. The feel was cheap for the $2400.00 they were asking for it. This is not what I remember the Flying V being like. So I took the King V for a drive and fell in love with it right away. It has EMG 81 85 PUP's on it and I played it through a Marshall JCM 800 (which is what I use at home 50 watt head). Heaven on earth is all I can say. I still have the Jackson 2 years later and would never trade in this guitar for anything. I recently came into a little bit of money so I went back to another place to try out another Gibson Flaying V thinking maybe that was a bad V I had tried before. I was just as disappointed with this one as I was the previous Gibson V. Could not locate another King V Pro in my area, so anyways, I ended up buying instead, a Smith & Wesson Model 29, 6 1/2 inch barrel revolver. Morale of the story, you cant go wrong with a Jackson King V.
Got a 80s flying v a while back. Brand new guitar, and it was horrendous. Cut myself on the 6th fret, spent a good 20 mins filing down the rest. Pickups squealed like a baby pig, truss rod was horribly damaged, and the tuning pegs fell out when I tried to tune the thing. Spent $4500 on it. Then I bought a Jackson MJ series Rhoades and fell in love with it. EMG 81s have a great sound, Floyd rose never lets me down, and the frets were perfectly leveled. Hooked it up to a Marshall 150, ad it plays beautifully
I have a Jackson Randy rhoades model with a Floyd and have had no problems with it, I love it to bits
I wish they still made this color
I was interested in your commentary; then you played...really well! Great job, Sir!!
Thanks bro, I really appreciate that!
Awww...he mentioned me giving him his first guitar! 😊

The Jackson headstock is one of my favourites, for sure.
Thanks dude! Yeah it's such an iconic design
Awesome video!

@@happytimecyanide9884 I'll check it out, thanks!
Awesome guitar man! Got a question for you. Are those standard 10 gauge strings? Or 10-52?
Yeah they're 10 to 52
Just bought a 2024 Pro King V. Quite a few differences to yours but good to know its going to stand the test of time!
Love one of those.
Why are the inlays so weak? Have they always been like that or did they fade?

I haven't played any of the more recent models but Jackson makes quality guitars so I can imagine they're pretty sick

@@phantomlord3050 That is cool. I am glad to see that I am not the only one seeing what junk Gibson is passing on to the masses
