Boots knows what type of caliber a fighter Bud is, so he won't be loading up on that many punches, like how he did against that Karen dude, who refused to engage with him nearly the entire time and just stayed on the back-foot. You haven't even seen the best come out of this boy, yet, until a live body finally gets in the ring with him, and that includes Crawford.
@TylerHingleton That's madness. And Karen would be my point exactly. Boots boxing style is built around entertaining slickness. Even if you refuse to engage Bud, the ring would be cut off (something boots refused to do) and the opponent would be dispatched. How can you say he would body Bud, but in the same paragraph admit he got a problem with folk who like to move and use their stick? Boots would certainly be a problem for Bud eventually, bc you know how Father time works but certainly not now. Bud's IQ and ability is simply just too good. Boots hasn't been in the ring with that caliber of experience. And His chin does get found by lesser opposition. Boots is not ready
@@christusomnipotens3751 It isn't madness, and his style isn't strictly off entertaining slickness, since he's very fundamentally sound as well. The boy has a very effective jab, the way he parries, feints and shoots with it, a very elite counter-puncher, even creates and cuts at angles much better when it comes to his punch placement and even puts more combinations together compared to Crawford. He's even a better switch-hitter than him since he's more comfortable both offensively and defensively equally in either stance. He's even more elusive than Bud is, when it comes to head and lateral movement as well. Boots' problem wasn't knowing how to cut the ring off, when it was him not constantly going to that Karen dude's body, since he had him visibly hurt in the 9th round. Crawford doesn't use alot of mobility regarding lateral movement without letting his hands go and will actually come to fight, which is why it's a false comparison. Crawford has been visibly hurt and rocked by lesser competition compared to Boots, who took clean shots from Lipinets and Villa (who has a 92 KO percentage) and wasn't even phased. Too bad Bud doesn't agree with you, cuz he already thinks that boy is ready for the big stage in one of his interviews leading up to the Spence fight when asked about him, so agree to disagree.

First, I can't remember the round, but David Avenisan went rounds with Bud before he was stopped and made a much better account of himself than Villa made with Boots. IMO I would rank Villa ahead of Avenisan just based on what I saw. I think Villa would make a better account of himself with Bud than Avenisan did. Not saying he would win, but I think he would make a better account of himself. As for ESJ, the past ESJ I would agree, but this version of ESJ, IDK. ESJ just way too inactive to fight at a high level anymore. I think taking that fight with Fundora is a mistake - he should take a tune-up. And right now I'm picking Fundora to beat him, he has got to show me something. If ESJ and Villa were to fight right now I think that's 49-51 leaning to Villa is how I would call it.
