OOO my goodness you have to look at ALL the pictures on the site LOL !!! The first picture is almost always "Click Bait" and the rest of the pictures are what you will actually get!!
Oh my gosh Julie I completely agree with you! It drives me nuts seeing adults in these Facebook groups complaining about not receiving a prototype looking reborn when you spend $39.99 on. They typically do show the doll in either reviews or if you keep scrolling through the pictures on Temu or on AliExpress. Not only that if you ask on AliExpress to see the doll you will actually receive ,they will in fact send you a picture of the doll you will receive. but yes, I cannot stand seeing people act so confused and taking advantage of when they spend $40 on a doll thinking they’re going to get one that looks like a prototype artist made it. It’s ridiculous. I don’t think you did anything wrong and I think sometimes these people do need to see, they need to do much more research and I feel like we show them so many dolls ourselves in the groups of our Temu dolls and our Aliexpress dolls for them to know they do not come looking much different than the ones we have shown. Only if they’ve been painted by an artist will they look much different.
I remember seeing that post, I didn't comment because I didn't want to say something that would end up coming off unkind, in the end I just told myself that either the person just has the type of personality that needs to draw attention to themselves or that perhaps they have a development delay or something like that. There are all types of people that collect dolls for all sorts of reasons, including for emotional support and if they had their heart set on this nice looking doll in the pictures and ended up getting reality check when it arrived then I can understand their disappointment, especially if they don't have much experience with buying replicas. I guess that was just a "live and learn" type situation for them and they were frustrated and needed to vent.
I agree with you! And you are right to tell them don’t post those kind of things on your Facebook group. If they are not satisfying with the doll then return it or give it away. Sometimes even expensive doll people are not satisfied with what they received. It up to them to do their homework.
I agree people need to look at the pictures and reviews! But we also need to remember that some of those people are very young, elderly/disabled and new to this hobby and are easy preys for scammers and might really think they will receive prototypes...
Your post was not mean, we are used to you being very caring and kind towards people and it came off a little rough and out of character, but YOU ARE HUMAN, we have emotions 😊
Hi Julie, you are 100 % correct. We, as adult consumers, have to be responsible, for our own actions. We ALWAYS, need to pay our due diligence, before spending our hard earned money, on any product we buy, on line. The difference between purchasing something from a store and buying on line, is that we can look, feel and see the actual item, before we buy. However online, we only have pictures, to go by. That is why, we really need to utilise the feedback and reviews, from others, who have actually bought the same item and have been happy and satisfied with it. Thanks for sharing, Hun. xxxxxx
I just purchased my first reborn! I spent many hours of research and waited about two months before I found a perfect doll legitimate in my price range. I’m waiting on her to come in the mail! ❤
If I buy a doll from temu, ali express or Amazon I always look for reviews & pics from customers. I ❤ all my replicas as much as my artist dolls. I try to protect myself from the disappointments & scams but it's not full proof.
(The only reason I’m dressed is because we’re visiting our son…) I don’t feel that you were too harsh, but when I first started collecting I didn’t understand all the ins and outs of replicas vs authentic reborns either, so who knows about that person. But people always have to be flapping their lips and disagreeing about something. Rose is gorgeous!
Agree, if you want a prototype quality doll, you have to pay the price. I have 1 prototype reborn doll, that I bought pre-owned, and it is my most expensive doll, ever. She cost more the my Barbie #1. If you are new to this hobby, you need to educate yourself a lot. I have learned so much from watching you, Stephanie Ortiz, ShellBell, Seena, and Leisha. I appreciate your help and info.
I agree you need to look at all the pictures including the last one! I just don't get people sometimes, I have some dolls that are authentic and some that might not be idrk on a few of them. But I still love my dolls.
Don't let it get to you, I have authentic reborns, but I have mostly replica's because its what I can afford....tired of the bullies and spies. But YES...always always read the reviews. If there are no reviews or pictures, I DO not buy it. I will never understand why there has to be so much spying, bulling and complaining. I would think people would learn by now. Its one of the reasons, I keep my reborn groups to a minimum and haven't started my UA-cam channel yet...just hate the drama...and it seems so repeated. I get where your coming from.
I have said this before that the sculptor needs to protect their work take measures that prevent the sculpt from being reproduced I also watch Stephanie and she always says do your research, when I am on one of the sights like Ali Express or temu even Amazon I do look at the review of the dolls and see what I am actually getting it is only common sense with anything you buy do your research and look at reviews of the products you are interested in I agree with you 💯 percent so people need to stop crying about what they are getting if they didn't do the research they needed to do don't feel bad about feeling the way ypu do you have every right to speak up on how you feel
I think you need to be involved with the doll groups on line for at least a year to learn all about dolls. It took me some time to really understand the ins and outs of the doll world. I had to be immersed in it for some time to realize all the nuancesI. I think maybe this person is just beginning her journey and needs to learn what a lot of us already know. I can understand your frustrated feelings because you did not want to hurt the hearts of your dear friends, but she will learn one way or another the many nuances of our journeys. We are all evolving with time. She is just a little behind, but will catch up to the rest of us 😅.
I completely agree definitely need to look at all pictures and reviews. Generally the last picture is the replica and that is what you will actually get! I am part of your group Julie and I do agree do not think you were harsh. The groups are for positivity and fun not complaints. I always tell my kids if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. I have stuck with that myself!❤
I said it last night and I will say it again....Julie, you were not too harsh! I really don't understand people who shop online and don't read the reviews and do their research before buying anything. And then complaining that the doll or whatever it is they bought doesn't look like the pictures advertised, expecting to get a prototype quality doll for 30, 50 or even a hundred dollars is ridiculous, but for some reason people don't want to take the time out of their day to read the reviews/ask others opinions about the dolls....but they have all the time in the world to complain about their doll in a FB group 😕 And then for people to tell me that I should be patient and explain to others that they won't get the exact doll pictured in the advertisement.....which we do constantly in the group! And they still don't listen! It drives me crazy and causes me to write long posts trying to explain to other members why I get upset and then I get called "mean and selfish" because I don't agree with them....makes no sense to me! Sorry about the rant 🤣 I love being an Admin for your group....even though I need some self-care after dealing with some of the comments! 🤣
Hi Julie, you were not too harsh. You 100% right. Everytime dollyfriends say, check this, check that. And even if she did not liked it, she could have sent it back. And your taste hasn't be the taste of others, I understand. She clearly didn't watch Josies jungleroom about : who are you to think my dolls are ugly, and I love them so much. The story tells everything about her, nothing more. Have a blessed day Julie and quality time with your daughters✨️💖💫
I usually know right off that it’s gonna be a replica but I hold out hope that maybe one day they’ll start producing closer to that quality, so I try to find reviews or other buyers’ photos, just to see.
You were absolutely right on the button. People need to be adults and do their research and if it’s something you don’t like oh well but why does everyone need to hear about it
I don't think you were too harsh at all. When you're a member of a group that talks about the cautions of buying and checking reviews all the time, you should listen. I don't think it's right to trash talk a doll or anything someone else may have and love. You never know why someone collects something, and maybe that's what they could afford.
Hi Julie ❤ I never think I am going to get the prototype doll! I always check the buyers' reviews and pictures! 😊 We have to be realistic! I don't think you are being harsh at all! You are using your common sense! ❤ Your videos help beginning dolly mommies learn how to shop and figure it all out. Thank you for that! 😊 Warm hugs and love! ❤❤❤
I agree with you. It seems like people get scammed bc they don't have common sense. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. And I would hate to see so many people posting pictures of their scam babies and whining about how they got scammed.
Hi Julie just a thought the person who posted this about the doll do you think it was somebody infiltrating the group just to make a point most of us realise what we will get from these companies i was very happy witb my blonde pickle i just wonder if it was for effect just to stir lots of love and hugs and from Rosie xxxx ❤
I’m like you I buy absolutely nothing without reading reviews or looking up reviews on UA-cam about a product. I especially look for pictures of the actual product you will receive and videos of the actual product unboxing on UA-cam. People have to learn how to make educated decisions

BEAUTIFUL baby! Sounds like u said it like it is! Not all replicas r equal, & not ALL their advertisements r false advertising. If u take an overview of what is shown for sale, & apply some commonsense to what u see, u can end up w a very nice doll for very little money. (And there r plenty of youtube creators featuring replicas & where they purchased them & which company painted them.) Perhaps someone completely new to the hobby can understandably be deceived, but if u have ANY awareness of the art, the prices, & the replica market, there is no excuse for dramatics -- YOU r the problem! If your standard is authentic & super realism, then don't apply your std to a replica & complain & tear apart the replica!
temu shows the original doll but when you look at all the pictures some show the real doll you get and its not like the prototype doll it just looks like an artist tryed to make a cheap photo doll of a child you get a doll that looks like you would buy from the dollar to 5 dollar store
OOO my goodness you have to look at ALL the pictures on the site LOL !!! The first picture is almost always "Click Bait" and the rest of the pictures are what you will actually get!!
Exactly and I am getting so frustrated with people who can't follow that simple rule ❤xoxo Hugs
Common sense tells you, if anything looks too good to be true, IT"S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!!!!
Oh my gosh Julie I completely agree with you! It drives me nuts seeing adults in these Facebook groups complaining about not receiving a prototype looking reborn when you spend $39.99 on. I 100% agree, but unfortunately that's not fair to the rest of us! Hugs ❤😊xo
Ok now I have 3 replica pickles and think they are just beautiful! I love them all!!😊❤😊
I agree with you! And you are right to tell them don’t post those kind of things on your Facebook group. If they are not satisfying with the doll then return it or give it away. Sometimes even expensive doll people are not satisfied with what they received. It up to them to do their homework.

I do the same exact thing.

Good grief!! It is crazy for people to think that!! I check double check reviews before I order anything. Sigh.
