I love vintage stuff ,especially Christmas decorations!! Your quilt is so beautiful and the perfect backdrop for your Christmas videos!! Exactly!! Plastics, vinyl products and many other products we use can be toxic, hopefully people don't heat or store food in plastics and as another you tuber said, I don't think anyone will be sucking on their reborn dolls!!! LOL!!
I wanna start sculpting, but if my sculpts get replicated anyways, I’ll just consider releasing my kits as home-cast silicone kits before sending them out to be made into vinyl. I’m also considering just releasing them directly into the public domain; that way I won’t have to worry too much about copyright. Ideally, I would just reach out and setup an agreement to collect royalties from the Chinese companies if they decide to make knock-offs of my stuff; or maybe just coordinate a public domain release with them. That might work; since compensation is what seems to be the main problem?
Hi Julie! 😊 I am looking forward to your Vlogmas videos...a Christmas treat! ❤ Kael looks snuggly warm and so cute in his Mayoral outfit. ❤ I agree with what you are saying about attitude from the artists. I used to teach my students, grades K-4 about treating others with respect and I used the phrase about catching more bees with honey. ❤ Warm hugs and lots of love! ❤❤❤
I love that outfit on him!! He’s so cute in it. They need to stop sending their sculpts to Chinese. When they know it’s going to be replicated. You are right they are way to stop that from happening and it’s their responsibility. It is not our responsibility to do that. They have to take responsibility for their sculpts being replicated. So instead of blaming people who are buying them. They need to own up there part in it happening and that they didn’t protect their work. But instead of doing that they look to blame others.
Are there any companies in the U.S. that make soft vinyl heat-safe kits in the U.S., though? I’m looking into ways to figure out how to bring production back, tbh. Even if it takes years.
Hi Julie Kale looks so adorable I love Spanish knits I saw that post too she just acts like a 2 year old throwing her toys out of the pram it's done she's had her money grow up anyway lots of love and from Rosie xxxxx ❤
I think I can empathize with the emotion that Nikki Johnston must be experiencing every time she sees her work obtained and benefited from by sources outside of the industry. I’m sure there are hours of work that go into this process. It’s hard to understand how people can rally around either camp and yet at the end of the day, the pickle was created by an individual artist who shared her work with the community and then then the sculpt fell into the hands of people who profited off it. Please help me understand how you would not feel enraged if that was your work as well as your passion and you would not be furious in the same situation. There are plenty of authentic pickle kits still showing up. The question is why would you not support a community that is just asking for integrity and ownership of authentic kits purchased from authentic dealers? I don’t understand what I’m missing to see it from a different perspective. Just because you can doesn’t always mean you should regardless of how many people support it.
There is always always going to be a cheaper alternative for everything in this world. And you will always have people of varied incomes. I know myself am on a very limited budget due to disability. I can't always afford the high dollar brand name/authentic version, if there is a cheaper version of course I will buy it, if I so choose too. Why because at the end of the day everyone on this planet is allowed to buy what makes them happy without judgement of anyone else. It really should be no one's business what anyone buys and we need to stop making those judgements on each other. If you don't agree, just scroll on and do you! There was a time when people did what made them happy and no one judged....we need to do that again.
Maybe this will help you understand. I used to be a glass artist and hand painted glass and shipped it all over the world. But when the market started producing manufactured painted like glass it effected my sales. I did not have a monopoly on glass painting or a patent. I had to accept what the new reality was for me. I couldn’t attack the customers for buying that. These sculptors need to protect their work so it cannot get copied. Stop producing in China. They are doing a disservice to us collectors who buy original. Is my original sold out Pickle worth $1,2000 when it is now being replicated? That is upsetting. Dolls lose their value when replicated. It was a limited edition. The copies are not exact copies. A sculptor can tell the difference in the details. Sometimes less detail in the sculpt China produces.❤❤❤
Exactly. I don't know any businesses that keep customers by being angry and pointing fingers for things they didn't cover, and still expecting people to support them 😅 only in the dolly world 😂
I’m so glad to hear you’re doing “Vlog-mas”… because I really enjoy your channel. 🎉
I have one authentic and one replica. The only differences are the feel of the paint, the way the hair is rooted and the weight. I fixed the weight
I have pajamas in the same pattern and fabric as your nightgown. The fabric is so soft.
Cael is so precious in that Spanish knit.

I think people should respect each other’s opinions and leave people alone! It is Their money they can do whatever they want!

She maybe upset but that doesn’t give her the right to bullie and Harras people and telling people to destroy there dolls it’s not on

@ -I can see your point in this response.
