Thank you. I have an exams in two days and you saved me. My professor didn't really explain when to use one tailed or two tailed. I had been searching everywhere for a video like this.
Sitting in my university's library at 12:38am trying to understand what a one tailed and two-tailed test is and this helped me soooooooooo much. Easy and understandable!!!!!!
I love how concise this video is!! Straight to the point. I have a potentially novel objective description that I could use some help classifying as well (anyone welcome to weigh-in) and it's actually about calculating power: "How likely is it that we could detect a 30 change (+/-) in the mean of "X" ?" Two, one-tailed/sided tests? Or one, two-sided?

This video does not make any sense. As far as I understand, a t-test can only tell you if the difference between two groups is significant. If you know the means (which is easy to calculate) you automatically know the direction, so you just check the significance with the t-test by chosing a 1 tailed test. Right?
