I tried this tent and loved it. As a novice camper and not very strong, I was able to set this tent up by myself very easily. It’s roomy and I like that I can stand up and walk around. I have been accustomed to Coleman Dome tent Darkroom technology (blocks 90% sunlight), so it keeps the tent dark in the morning. So I was a little surprised how bright the Gazelle is. On the upside… it kept me from missing out on the whole reason I was camping, rather than sleeping the day away.
I always lay down on my footprint, prior to setting up my tent, to make sure it's a level spot and there are no objects underneath that need to be moved. Works every time.
I have the bigger gazelle t4 hub tent, you definitely won't be upset with it after you get it and get it set up ,its actually bigger than the overland which is why I bought that over the overland cause I use the Disc-o-Bed bunk bed cots in mine, than put my lifetime cooler at the bottom and i still have room for a rollup table and chairs and my jackery solar generator lol , its pretty cool though. Winter camping i stick a wooden dowel rod under the center and it doesn't collapse under the weight of the snow . But i used mine in a crazy storm with wind gusts of 40mph ,just had to tie out the sides and it was good to go, didn't even really move in the wind and it didn't leak at all !
I assume you have the T4 Plus, sounds like a nice setup. I did not get the opportunity to camp with any heavy snowfall this year but I have seen a lot of heavy wind and rain and had no issues. Thanks for watching!
Great video and review. I’ve seen others put the velcro straps around the tent before going into the bag, rather than around the bag itself. That might help with the awkwardness of moving the tent into and out of the bag.
Yes it does actually come with one that’s loose for the tent itself - mine came with one and in another video they mentioned it and that it’s easy to lose as it’s not attached. Looks like yours was missing, maybe can get with a quick message to the company :). Great vid, I like how when you pop up the ceiling you actually go inside and show that part - all other setup vids just show it done afterwards from the outside and don’t actually show that bit. Very detailed vid, thanks!
Great video! How long is the sidewall, looking at cots and I thing the published 94”x94” is across the center of the tent and not the wall length! Thanks
That is correct. I just happen to have the tent set up drying out from a rainy weekend so I was able to measure it. From corner to corner along the wall it is 90 inches and 94 from center of the wall across. Keep in mind that the walls have a slight inward angle as well so that distance shrinks as you go up. At average cot height it is only about 86 inches. My cot is 74.41 inches long and I do not put it right up against the wall and that is about as long as I would want to use. Great question and thanks for watching!
Thanks! The MSR footprint is the large 92X92 and it works great. I just got back from another camping trip and it got down to 18 degrees at night but it was 5 degrees warmer in the tent. We also had steady winds at 12 to 15 MPH with gusts to 125 MPH with no noticeable breeze inside. Thanks for watching!
Wouldn't a tie-down strap around the closed tent make it easier to move between bag and set up ...... and tear down and bag? Instead of all those poles flopping around.....thats what I would do. Thinking about purchasing one myself....tent that is.
Yes, a lot of folks have said that their tent came with Velcro straps for that purpose. I must have lost mine but I had some for other purposes and have used them since and they work well. Thanks for watching!
There are no specific ports for wires or an AC Tube but since the entire floor can be removed "Velcro connected" you would run wires through that and seal the Velcro around them making sure that the seal was good. As for an AC Tube, there are two doors that zip from the top or the bottom so I think you could carefully run the tube through at the bottom of the door you are not using and bring the zipper down tight. Thanks for watching!
Yes, it is included in the Overland package. The footprint is light but sturdy and holds up well. It has heavy loops sewn into the corners with a nice loop of cord on each for staking the footprint down. Thanks for watching!
The rear of your JKU is close to the bed size of my Gladiator (60 in deep and 56 in wide) and the tent is 67.5 inches long when packed so it would be tight and only if you put it at an angle. When packed the tent has an 8 in diameter so putting it in the back at an angle will make the space tight and awkward for packing all your other camping gear but it should be possible. I strap it to my roof rack as that makes it a lot easier. Thanks for watching!

Both are good tents but the Gazelle is much sturdier and easy to set up.
Heck yeah I totally agree with you, I love this tent , been using it every weekend
I always lay down on my footprint, prior to setting up my tent, to make sure it's a level spot and there are no objects underneath that need to be moved. Works every time.
Makes sense, thanks for watching!
As others have ponted out, there is a strap that you put on before you put the t4 in the bag that makes it easy to handle
I found a strap that works but, to be honest, I have gotten so good at dealing with it that I don't use the strap at all. Thanks for watching!

I have a clam quick-set shelter, these hub systems fascinate me... really enjoyed your video, very well done.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
My T4came with straps that went around the tent holding the hubs together. Before it went into the bag.
Interesting, mine did not but they are an easy add so I am going to give it a shot. Thanks for watching!

That makes sense and I have a couple of velcro straps, I will try that. Thanks for watching!

I had a couple of straps for securing gear that were long enough to use with the tent. Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching!
Great video. Nice Gladiator. Have one ourselves. What is your shovel in the back. Thank you.
Thank you. The shovel is a Krazy Beaver Off-Road Shovel, it is a nice shovel, looks cool, but a little expensive. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the great rundown. Love the Jeep. What size is the MSR Groundcover-large or small? Appreciated.

Dude you came prepared for everything!
Car camping does make it easier to cover all the bases! Thanks for watching!
@@bluox no doubt 👍. Love the video

Thx for the great review on the Gazelle T4 Overlander tent.
Any ports in the side of tent for electrical wires or ac tube?
Thx in advance!

@@jl75750 I love the tent and I am sure that you will as well!
@@bluox Thx again! 😊
We are booked this year for rv’n. BUT, the T4 Overland will be the 1st purchase for when we start overlanding on a regular basis.
Thx for sharing blu by the way can you make a video about the table mounted in your rack lux awesome thx
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching! I was thinking about doing a video of my camp kitchen setup including the table.
Does the footprint come with the Overland? Thx

did you lose your strap that goes around the tent it,s a longer velcro that is just for the tent.
It is possible but not really sure. I had a couple of straps that I repurposed so not a big deal. Thanks for watching!
Do u think it fit in jeep jku ??
