You're right. That is the Marcel Fisserband. The man playing the electric guitarsolo is the great Marcel himself. He often collaborates with Floor. Recently before Covid he toured with Floor on her soloshows through the Netherlands after the success of Beste Zangers. Each show was sold out😍🤘. Another great reaction, sir.
I didn't think he and his band had worked with Floor before this, but the fact that she chose them to back her on her solo tour after this series speaks volumes about how impressed she was with them.
@@phillee2814 The Marcel Fisser Band performs in many TV-shows in the Netherlands for many decades. They are top professionals. Hi there. The band were amazing. I think that Tim did a good job. He sang "Bring Him Home" for Henk, well worth a listen. The respect the singers developed for each other was a joy to watch as the series progressed. Henk and Emma's duet is another must watch. As ever, I enjoy your reactions 👍

Glad you came back to this too. The show format is really really good. Let’s put these different singers/ artists together and let them perform songs to eachother, that have meaning in their lives. But in your own style. Get to know them a bit more. They all want to do the songs justice for that person. In the beginning they were a bit sceptical (right word?) about Floor, in my opinion too. It's good that someone realizes that the band needs to get the recognition it deserves. 7:30 Yes the backing vocalists are good, they are part of the Marcel Fisserband. Together they make a great complete orchestra. The Marcel Fisserband has been accompanying many artists, during many seasons, with their performances at "Beste Zangers" and are present at many other performances by various artists during their "solo" tour such as Floor.
I love this version, and Tim’s voice reminds me of like two parts John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls mixed with one part Springsteen. He’s got a great sound.

Hi Sean, Finally found some time to watch the video in its entirety :). I chuckled when you mentioned it made you think of the nineties. His gritty rock voice dates from the late nineties, when he was the lead singer and main composer of Di-rect, from 1999 to 2009. Thereafter he started his solo career, resulting most recently in the album "Lions don't cry" (which includes "Winner" :)), with the band "The Ivy League". I actually liked the way he made this song entirely his own, with his gritty rock style, even though that was partly because he had to fit it in the time limits imposed by these sessions. No Floor, though, :), but there are not very many singers who get close to her. They had indeed a very great click as a group, and this made it possible that they pushed each other to new styles and heights they had not achieved before, which I think was very nice to see. It made it the most awesome and most varied series of all, IMO. If you'd like to hear nore of his music, do check out Di-rect, and of course Lions don't cry. He made a few more albums, but his music is not typically the music I normally listen to, so you may have to search a little further. This was a great reaction again, informative, and honest as you always are, I loved it, and I'd like to thank you for that! Waiting for the next one :). Love, and warmest regards, Wim
I'd have loved his version if I didn't know the original. His diction is much less clear, partly because it is so rushed. But he did so a great job of putting his own style on it - I'd call the galloping beat more like the NWOBHM style, which was widely adopted in the US and elsewhere.
Tim has a great voice, but is not so good at remembering lyrics. He makes up lines as he goes (when needed). But he doesn't stop, you hardly notice it (only if you know the lyrics). But as I said: a really great voice!
hahaha so true! didn't he do a spanish song for Rolf and completely made up his own words? Hilarious, such a go hard, happy go lucky kinda guy! Also when he broke down when Floor sang his Winner for him really showed his soft spot!
Emma and Tim did great, but Henk and Samantha also did amazing performances for Floor. Definetly worth watching them both. Specially Henks "Sound of Silence"...
Yeah I reacted To Samantha's performance, it was so cool that she translated it herself into Dutch, that really had to make it even more special for Floor.
I'll double check that, I'm using someone elses copy of the videos as the originals sometimes gets blocked when you try to react to them. so the Subititles I think were the settings she used when we made her copy. But thx, I've never messed around with subititles so I didn't know there were options to them
Tim has a very "Classic American rocker" type of voice, Like a Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, or Rick Springfield. The zipped up tempo and arrangement lend themselves very well to his style.
Yeah , was definitley getting some Springsteen vibes from him. It was a great performance overall. I mean, it's not the original, but him putting his take on it, he made it is own.
Only one brave enough to sing a Nightwish song. Reminds me of Joe Cocker. Came to Beste Zangers for Floor, fell in love with the rest of the performers.
