@@CouldntCameUpWithAName Honestly, I actually didn't want to go to the show. I wasn't a Nightwish fan at all. The only track I had heard with Nightwish was Nemo, and I thought that this band wasn't for me. But, luckily, I met some other folks who talked me into it, because they had a new singer, a true valkyrie queen. Which was good news, as I thought Tarja was kinda boring and pale to look at. But a valkyrie would be a great fit for my scandinavian roots.
Good lord was I ever blown away.

Also love Tuomas's face as he sings along "...building a Walden of our own" with Floor in Alpenglow. There are several times at the Wacken show when Tuomas looks so proud for sure.
Tuomas smiles because it is the smile of sheer and utter realization that his dream, his vision, of what songs sound like in his head, have come to life.
It's no different than someone who builds a car, finishes it, and then turns the key for the first time, and hears a hand-built engine crank to life.
There almost isn't a better feeling in the world, than seeing hard work and dedication, and a vision, come to life before your own eyes.
So sad they will probably disband after the next album
@@babbonatale276 : I don't see them taking a break from touring as disbanding. You got to remember, they aren't as young as they were starting out, or even as young as they were a decade ago. And with Floor having her family, she may not want to spend as much time touring, given that her little one isn't even here yet.
Don't make presumptions about the future of the band, because even they don't know what the future holds.
@@isaiahwelch8066 I hope they will keep making music (they're my favorite band), but let's be honest, a band like Nightwish that doesn't want to promote a record with a tour is very strange. I think they have a huge problem with their menagement.
These huge tours never helped the band: Tarja, Anette, Jukka, Marko... they all had problems with how the things worked and I heard also Floor said something about it recently. I mean, we don't know it for sure, but she had cancer and now she's pregnant, and still on tour. Why? Marko got depression, Jukka insomnia, Anette was left in a hospital bed. I'm not here to judge but what the fuck, maybe booking so many concerts during the years and forcing everyone to stay focused is not the best way to make music and even Tuomas is realizing it. I hope they will keep making some albums (maybe without touring, like Auri), but they have a record company and someone to answer to, so I don't see a bright future for the band.
Nightwish Wacken 2013 has got to be the best concert video ever produced. Floor was coming from a whole different world when she sang Ghost Love Score. Outside of seeing her sing live and in person, this version is the only way to experience Ghost Love Score. ❤❤❤
What she made in the end of Ghost Love Score always makes me crying😍😍😍😍😍. She brought new colors to the song. I only listen Floor's version, with all my respect to Tarja))))
I totally agree. Still have to find a concert that can compare to that one. The last note in Ghost Love Score is one of the most impressive vocals I've ever heard.

I was about to complain that floor's best performance ever, was not listed. Until #1 came up. This is where most of us fell in love with Floor Jansen. I hope Nightwish never loses her. Excellent compilation. Great job. I have seen all those performances more times than I care to admit. Before Floor I had heard the word starstruck, but I now know what it means after seeing her perform.
I hear you. When I saw her live I felt like a lovestruck teenager (I'm 51 haha). I have seen the Wacken performance so often that I am considering highlighting certain audience members that grab my attention.
Floor has to be experienced live in person to truly get the full effect of just how powerful her voice is, the "note" from GLS is something else to hear in person

#6 is #1 for me. That ending vocal line and final 'scream' of Storytime is probably the most amazing, intense and powerful thing I have ever heard sung. Floor truly is an exceptional singer.
Can't really blame that choice, though for me personally it comes second to the final Floorgasm in Ghost Love Score from the same Wacken show. That 'scream' is it for me, it completely blew my mind when I heard it. And it deserves it's #1 spot.

I nearly died when I saw that! What an amazing thing to happen to me!
It feels like she nailed the high note for Phantom of the Opera for a much longer period of time on the live show there than she did on the TV show. I'm gonna put that down to the fact that she was probably also fangirling over singing with a childhood hero as well. I love the fact that they continued to go out and keep doing it in live shows since because of it.

Great video! Although in my most humble opinion id have to have Floor's version of Shallow in the top 10. Ill quite happily admit ive shed a tear or two to that. In fact im pretty sure Floor is the only vocalist ive ever been brought to tears listening too. She is utterly incredible. great compilation, but you have completely missed out on Shoemaker. Floorgasm has got a totally new meaning for me when I was standing and crying in the center of the second row looking her in the eyes while she sang the end of Shoemaker xD
I noticed a man was singing along at the end there, of Shoemaker at Hellfest ,being totally moved to tears. The look on his face, the joy, makes me cry even more. That's how she makes me feel. Even with her new solo album out I tear up. My husband doesn't get it, though he does appreciate her voice.

It boggles my mind that in the age of the internet Floor isn't recognized as simply THE GREATEST vocalist in the world PERIOD!!! There isn't one female pop artists who doesn't use auto tuned microphones during live shows or doesn't have their voice altered in the studio. Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Ariana, and on and on all have to have the help of technology to sound the way they do. Nobody can touch Floor. Nobody has the class, authenticity and the talent she has!!!!!!!!! Floor is the QUEEN. She doesn't need to walk around stage 3/4 naked to get attention. She is 100% ALL WOMAN!!! ALL NATURAL!!!!!!! Thank you Floor for not selling out!!!! The singers you mentioned never used auto tune or playback. Beyoncé has an insane agility, Lady Gaga can extend her range Into the soprano one and Ariana can do crazy high notes still with an angelic voice. They're all amazing no need to bring anyone down

Nice reaction. Floor Jansen is easily one of the greatest singers of our generation. Personally, I want to see her sing with Su-metal from Babymetal. Just to them on stage together. Would be amazing. Since Floor is over 6' tall. and Su is 5'2" maybe tall. But both of them can belt out notes. Babymetal has always been about the juxtaposition of things. And somehow making it work. I bet they would do an incredible song together. Hmm, Maybe the world isn't ready for that.

I was fortunate to have my first exposure to Nightwish to be the 2012 Buenos Aires version, so I got to have that surpassed by the Wacken 2013 version.

Other artists need to be very afraid of floor jansen. She can sing your own song better than you can.
I loved that Floor sang Alone and it was on this list. I didn’t know she covered that song. Floor and Ann Wilson and my favorite rock vocalists (yes, I know Floor is so much more than a rock vocalist) and I think only she could do that song justice in light of Ann’s epic rendition.
