I got Nadal routine before serving: he scratch his ass, than tap shoulder, other shoulder, nose, left ear, nose again (he definitely likes to smell it) and right ear.
What's truly incredible is that his serving speed isn't what makes his serve so powerful, but his placement and spin. He probably has one of the serves in the game right now, but it isn't even insanely fast like isner
By the time Nadal picks his butt, smells his hand, accomodates his hair, pulls his socks, etc. he has spent the same 49 seconds it took the MAESTRO to finish one game.
Against the rules of the game, Nadal is allowed to take longer over serving between points than Federer takes for the whole game! The officials' inaction is shameful and should be considered as deliberately allowing cheating/gamesmanship.
The commentators already say it brilliantly in this video. I dislike it when players take so much time before serving, like Nadal, Djokovic, Cilic. Thank god they have introduced the shot clock, but 30 seconds is still a very long time.
@momdadhello as PSSneakysound said, the rule isn't followed to the letter. Take a stopwatch, watch Nadal or Djokovic. They CONSTANTLY take 24-40 seconds between points.
@momdadhello At Wimbledon, the average serving time for Nadal and Del Potro was 26 seconds. And that's just the average -- which means they went over that quite a few times as well.
@Vhsmith37 lol totally agree with you. Both Nadal and Novak are great player, but their style (particularly the waiting time between the point) drive me crazy...
@momdadhello Players regularly misrespect this rule, Nadal and Djokovic for examples. Refs are supposed to give sanctions but that is very rarely done.
Nadal has taken longer to serve than Federer does to win this game. He should have been penalised countless times. Djokovic has breached the serve time rules too, though less obviously than Nadal.
mizofan ok fine Nadal service times are not the best. But if you notice watch AO 2017 Nadal is actually getting better than he used to be years ago. Even Federer said In AO 2014 when he complained about the serve times that Rafa is getting better with times. Even Djokovic who has greatly improved too. Djokovic used to be worse like 2009-2010 time. Remember Djokovic had a gluten free problem which effected his stamina so he needed more rest between points
It takes time for Nadal, because it's hard to start a new point after a tough rally in the previous one which is usual situation for him. Also Rafa sweat a lot and he always spend at least 10-15 second with the towel. :D Federer on other hand has the privilige to make fast points with either an ace or just good serve in general. Different styles. :) Trust me, Rafa doesn't do it on purpose. He just have to.
One of the reason watching Federer is such a great experience. There's a pace and cadence to his matches - you feel like you are watching a sport.
Djokovic still bouncing the ball
Nadal still scratching somewhere
TLC i was just about to write that
I got Nadal routine before serving: he scratch his ass, than tap shoulder, other shoulder, nose, left ear, nose again (he definitely likes to smell it) and right ear.
The time it takes for Nadal to tug at his shorts.
Or Novak to bounce the ball.
And both of them have a leading head to head against hiim
+shayan motamedy And both of them were begaled on their most favorite surface by Roger. Enjoy the egg fry xD
@@shayanmotamedy5807 Good one
@@shayanmotamedy5807 No one cares u dumbfuck it was a joke
The time Nadal needs to pick his butt, touch his nose, ear, hair, pick the towel, and bounce the ball.
The T-10 My dad is still making fun of that lol
Lmfao
i think he has faster games, like 4 aces in a row!
He does
G Nguyen 41 seconds.

I love federer......and his game😀😘😘😘
Federer is the best frontrunner in the game. It happens so quick when he finds his groove
By the time Nadal picks his butt, smells his hand, accomodates his hair, pulls his socks, etc. he has spent the same 49 seconds it took the MAESTRO to finish one game.
“Smells his hand” 😂
I HAVE SEEN NADAL SPEND 40 SECONDS GETTING READY FOR 1 POINT!
Longer than that too- see video Rafa Nadal 51 seconds' serve preparation
I like that "if we see a replay we'll miss the next point..." yes it's fucking happening, turn the bastard off
I think the commentator says it all: "Nadal's preparation for the first point makes up that whole game"....
This is why Federer is well liked, he plays an honest game, as opposed to Nadal who takes advantage whenever he could.
I think the poster was counting from the second Federer first made contact with the ball.
Seriously why can't everything on youtube look this crystal?
thanks Roger for reading the rules of the game 😊
Me, in order to serve well (or an ace): need to bounce my ball several times, concentrate
This legend: just does it without an effort
I love the dude with the monotone voice who says “game, Federer.” 😆
Clinical!
Exactly why I don't watch Nadal or Djoker play live...just takes too long.
0:45 lol they missed serve because of replay
Thats because he doesn't fuck around before the serve just serves immediately.

Shots fired in Nadal's direction.

kyrgios is the next federer in terms of playing style not behaviour or mental toughness
There are two types of servers, onces who don't let there opponent settle and once who make opponent loose the flow
if u born in '93, oooh my son, u r still green for this. damn todler
@Vhsmith37
lol
totally agree with you.
Both Nadal and Novak are great player, but their style (particularly the waiting time between the point) drive me crazy...
and that extra time allows nadal to beat federer
@momdadhello Players regularly misrespect this rule, Nadal and Djokovic for examples. Refs are supposed to give sanctions but that is very rarely done.
@Vhsmith37 And it takes the same time for Nadal to pick his ass
Djokovic won a game on China Open 2013 for 37 seconds.
and breached the serve time rules too.
Djokovic in China open 2013 37 seconds a game

rafa does it because it´s a habit. nothing else.
NLLeFa As if nadal plays 50 shot rallies in every fucking point, there were many times when he served an ace and then took 30 seconds to serve again.
exactly!!!!
That reduces workload for the replay team...:D Just no time between shots to show any replays... lol
Djokovic and Nadal is starting to serve their second serve 😂
Djokovic and Nadal service games piss me off they take way too long
48 seconds , he serves at 0.03 at finished the game at 0.51
Meanwhile, someone is still fixing his hair.
Did he win that match?
Justin Webster of course
lol
Of course he won that!
u even can't see the fourth pt...
game against Djokovic Shanghai 2014 was better, 4 aces in row against best returner of all time
It takes this long for Nadal's ass to pick Nadal
"Too good" ....
דודי יא תותח
It was 51 secs not 49
It starts counting when he hits the ball.
poor sela
Nadal takes longer to serve.
watch the big picture, toddler ;)
Bwhahaha! Epic comment!
Didn't even hit an ace.
really? ¬.¬ fckng nadalitard???
Who gives a shit? it's still under a minute
Besides serve he is nothing. He makes tennis boring.
Truth Lover tu chutiya hai.
Obviously. All of his champion's league finals were in weak eras without any serious competition. No Michael Jordan no Schumacher.
Truth Lover funny haha
Lol what pillock this guy is hahaha
What shot did he use to constantly spank Nadal's ass in the AO final? the Backhand. He backhanded the Spanish Buttpicker back to Majorca mate.
