I'm glad to see more ATV and less UTV / side-by-sides on this channel :O
“Anyone who argues that Can Am’s 1000r engine isn’t incredible isn’t somebody you want your daughter dating”.
Best line in Dirt Trax history.
On a side note, bought a 2022 1000 XTP and have noticed what I would consider to by a meaningful increase in fuel consumption in sport mode from previous years. Obviously, you are gonna burn more fuel in sport mode but it seemed like I got better fuel numbers on my 2020 1000 xtp as opposed to my 2022. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this as well.
2019 Can-Am Outlander 1000 MAX XT-P
the best of the best
Really sharp looking machine with that flat black and yellow. Nice to see them include arched Arms too!
Those trails look so smooth
You guys forgot the 2019 has a front swaybar, replaced the faulty 2018 dps motor and has metal bumper corners finally.
Great review. The Rotax engine is truly amazing. Can you do a review on the xmrs? Thanks
You make me crazy with that awesome review man . I just bought Sidewinder 😢 I want that machine .
😁i bought it exactlythe same but mine actually longer it’s beast and look sexy . . This actually video make me buy it 👌🏽🔥🔥🔥it’s worth every penny for it in one month I drove 800KM 💨
omg that was good. I want to this atv
And the aftermarket things u can do to make this bike off the charts.
Great review 👍
Thanks! 👍
Gorgeous machine. Glad they updated the throttle, per your previous criticism. Note: in 2009, dealers were selling new 1/2 ton pickups for less $ than this new Outty.
Wait, so you're saying that in just 10 years, the price of a new truck has gone up like $40,000? a new half-ton today is like $60k
In 2009 the average price for a 1/2 ton pickup was a LOT more than $14k. You'd have to go all the way back to the mid 90s to see that price on a 1/2 ton.
I’m getting one.
Uh oh. Now Polaris has to make a new sportsman commercial.
Jeremiah Not if they can’t say they are superior somehow. Can-Am addressed almost every area where Polaris said they were deficient.
DirtTrax In the market for a new quad and comparing this to the sportsman 1000 xp. How is the stability compared to that bike. Looking for thoughts both in high speed cornering and also technical off camber stuff.
I'd take it in the Max 2 up style. Not quite as sporty a handler, but they ride pretty damned plush.
Can Am's Viscolock front differential remains a weak link compared to lockers
What you think about Stels Guepard 850 ?
Just come to read the comments of all the experts who could build better quads themselves.... i wasn't disappointed
You don't even own a quad. Do you.?
@@Allworldsk1 yea the one in the video ha
With the amount of power this engine provides the 1000R XT-P ought to have larger tires.
Let me go buy one
What does the XTP stand for. Looking at the Max version.
I spent the weekend on a 850XT Max....whaaaat a machine...It just made me even more curious to see how a beast like the 1000R XTP would perform...the 850 was already a blast...not as powerful as 78hp suggests though, tbh i expected a liiiiittle bit more...maybe because i was riding it at the top of a 10.000F high volcano lol
I'm really curious to know the difference as well. I'm in the market for one and more than likely will have one by the end of the month. I'm looking at the 650 max xt but willing to spend more if it warrants. I'm not in it for wheelies or air, or even high speed (probably won't even break 40mph). So I think the 650 should do fine for me. To be honest, the only reason I'm considering the XTP 1000 is the dash/gauges (I like the combination analog and digital) and the drive by wire throttle. If I could get both of those in the 650 max xt, I have no doubt which way I'd go.
What about the renegade 1000r xmr
Get a 1000 xt this year
XTP and X XC. What are the performance differences? I know there's cosmetics and suspension. But are they geared different or anything?
im late ik but nothing diferent
You did not mention that it got a new front sway bar. It did get one, right?
It did
Space shuttle makes thrust, not torque 😝. But I get the point.
this guys gonna give himself a concussion with how much he moves his head while talking.
dirtrider88 and your nice and stiff when you talk must be a robot😜
Lol
So wait how heavy it is?
Could you do a 2020 Outlander Max Xtp
Will see what we can get our hands on!
Can someone tell me if the max versions handles good can you have fun with it and slide it around. I need the max because I don't have room for a side x side but need a 2up. Thanks in advance.
The Max models are pretty awesome and there's very little sacrifice in going with the 2-up.
@@dirttraxtv appreciate it
@@dirttraxtv can the front end do small wheelies over ledges or does that suffer alot due to the longer wheelbase.
I want one but everybody says the 1000 runs too hot.. What say you Dirt trax?
Good question.
Ok for all you all you people that say Can am axles belt ect suck you don't know how to use it, because if you don't break it in you'll most likely shred a belt!😆 after 2 hours of use.
Better hope polaris doesn't hear this ... cut your funding ! Lol
Aluminum Handlebars. Wow!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can you put the front rack from the xt-p on the xx-c?
Can't see why not but why would you do that?
@@dirttraxtv to be able to carry stuff ;)
Nice bike and video I love how they look and sound but In my opinion they r just not as reliable as the Honda’s u guys need to do a Honda review I guess not the rincon cuz my 17 is the same as the 08s lmao. But do the 1000 pioneer or something I wanna c Honda back in one
Honda quads don’t have that kind of power that is why they don’t break if you rode a Canam and only used amount of power the Honda has it would last forever my 400 high output has over 4000 km and I have done nothing I also have a 450 Honda 3200 km done nothing on it as well but the canam sure rides a heck of a lot nicer
I could ride in work mode with the low power key and it would last forever. Probably still be faster with more torque and 1650 lbs towing. That's not why I bought a big boy toy, but I don't hate on anyone for riding anything else. I don't care what they buy.
👍
How tall are you
This bike is fucking sick.
2019 outlander XMR 1000 please !!!!!!!
Yes please. Love mine but i want their take on it.
I tried one and man they’re fricken insane, that quad doesn’t mess around at all.
Could a can am 2020 Outlander Max Xtp Wheelie ?
I would say probably.
Dirt Trax TV so it could wheelie but the renegade is easier also the 1 seat outlander 2020 xtp
Looks great
But I hate having belts and probably won't last 5yr
Belt life depends on the rider. I've had a 500L since brand new in 2015 and I'm still running the stock belt for over 2500 miles. And I beat the fuck out of it, respectfully of course lol
Call me old fashioned or whatever but just cant bring myself to enjoy these belt driven quads, not only that but I like being able to shift, it seems they are all automatic these days. Its been my number 1 issue about buying a new quad, so frustrating..... Last year I was looking for a new one, had about 15k saved and ready to throw at a new one, ive ridden a lot of Polaris and Kawi's, all nice riding machines, not to mention the Polaris's transmission issues, seen 2 brand new ones come and go in my family alone, I'd NEVER buy one, the only 2 machines that have lasted are my old Honda Foreman's, they are 2003's with 8000 miles on them, never had any type of issues with them. So I bought a 2018 Rancher...… yeah sure its simple and slow but I know the thing will last me 10 yrs without any problems, and I can shift till my hearts content...… I guess i'll have to wait for Honda to make a hi performance utility...….
Automatics are what 95% want. Sport quads are barely even built anymore even. They just don’t sell.
@@bobbertee5945 have a 99 Fourtrax myself and love it simple yet does everything I ask of it
Rob Tee yeah man can’t beat Honda’s reliability. I have a 2009 and it starts every time never fails me. Only issue is that I got the ES model and it’s terrible. Shifting issues at least once a year gotta fix it. I’d advise anyone interested in one to get the foot shift model.
100 horse on an atv is nice- but only if diffs, axles etc. holds up....
Which they do.
The issue has been narrowed down to driveshafts behing out if sync from brp by mudnwheels.
@@CBRRiderr also in the rear diff as well there is a problem of inconsistent pinion gear depth setting.
My 16 Outlander max 1000R XTP has 8,500 miles on it with no issues. I was told by the guy at Mud n wheels to change the diffs and transfer case with 75/90 when I change the oil. I use Lucas oil and diff fluid. My bike purrs with no issues. I love it.
Hold up? This isn’t a Polaris
Would you say the throttle is sort of like the 900 Ace or the 600 Ace? And got rid of that throttle leg like you guys say I have on my 1200 touring Ski-Doo? And also do you think Can-Am would be the first to come up with a throttle that doesn't throw so far and The Flipper is so far out that they could develop a cam or some kind of pulley if it's still cable-operated that would make riding so much easier without a thumb saver? Let me know what you subscribers think. Kind of get the gist of what I'm saying?
If it's an electronic throttle I can't understand why it wouldn't be relocated. Thumb has never been an ideal setup. Pedal is the way to go. Even twist would be better.
Bet they haven't fixed that f@ing rear diff. Besides that I love mine. I'm on my second but will be going to Honda while I go back to school. Can't afford the maintenance atm.
It’s just a shame that only can am and Polaris offer four wheelers of this caliber . I got the sportsman premium xp 1000 because I wanted max comfort . It’s a disgrace to both can am and Polaris both , that for what they ask price wise for either machine , they aren’t built with the absolute best quality engineering and parts . Polaris uses higher quality compressed sealed a arm bushings on rangers so why not the ATVs???. Both brands have WAY to many issues for the way to high cost . There’s no excuse . I do love the machines performance and ride , just got tired of waiting on a Japanese 1000. Preferably a Brute Force 1000.
I've had a brute force 750 for the past 10 years. I bought it new off the floor.
Yes it doesn't have power steering but that v-twin is amazing.
I can only imagine if they came out with a brute 1000.
PRICE ??? IN €
no diff lock still a shit clutch and doubt they have addressed the improperly shimmed rear diff
14,459.00 for a atv. WOW Just bought a 2019 (new body style) ranger 1000 for that.
TheCamaro5 nobody would actually pay full retail but yeah way too much.
Greg Rowe I cant believe there is even a market for atv's over 10k. I paid 7200 for my 08 brute force camo 750 fuel injected. Today the 2018 version is pretty much the exact same atv just will cost you 9000. If i were to buy one I would get at 650 v twin 50 hp can am for around 6500. that is a good deal to me but my brute force has never gave me problems.
Yeah, you can still find some deals on new atvs. The Can am Outlander 570 L has a 48 hp v-twin and you can get one of those without eps for around 6k brand new. The Yamaha Kodiak 700 base model is in the same price range. Either of those would be plenty powerful enough for me.
Live in Canada gents and buy one lol 750i eps brute force is 12,099 plus tax. I just bought my 2019 850 xmr for 14,599 plus tax.
My brother just bought a 2018 Polaris Ranger 1000 XT for 14500 with a top. I can see the value in that but not for a fourwheeler.I Just bought a camo 900 ranger xt for 9500. I was thinking about selling my brute force since i dont ride it much anymore for 3900 bucks.
It’s the same damn bike it’s always been the same for like 7 years lmao
its been the best for the past 7
The arched a arms and sway bar makes it even better
Sway bar, arched A arms, better suspension, 2 inches wider, electronic throttle, and a way better power steering system. Hardly the same.
TJ Reishus Don't forget metal end cap. Finally Can am!
Drive by wire is a total deal breaker to me, trucks, cars, tractors etc when an electric throttle is applied to the application it’s never the same. Throttle mapping is always lumpy, slow to respond, non-linear especially in CVT applications down in the lower throttle positions, and honestly a total waste but thanks to emissions and torque management it’s becoming the norm...now and then you’ll find an aftermarket tuning pro who can smooth it out to be tolerable but it’s never the same. In the outlander line I’d step down to a 850 just for the cable TB setup. At least the throttle blade isn’t limited based on load and rpm.... just takes the fun out of everything
Curious to know more. I'm new to the ATV world having very limited experience with them (about 1 hour worth of driving). I've been riding dirt bikes for years and I'm transitioning to an ATV this month. One of the main reasons I'm looking at the XTP IS the drive by wire. From all the positive reviews on them, it seems to me it's the way to go; a better way to control the throttle. You're the first I've read that was negative on it.
moserkm it depends on what your doing with it and application. General public likes multiple throttle maps, yes there is advantages but there is always a touch of lag between the throttle and the throttle body response which I don’t personally like. There is a lot more torque management on drive by wire units also, instead of dropping timing to limit power they just shut the throttle blade. All new cars and trucks run that way, when I write tuning I remove that factor, the response and power changes a lot. You can remove just torque management and feel a big change in power but not actually make anymore power overall. I don’t do Powersports maps nor do I know about can ams map profile but I’d suspect on the softer modes that there is a lot of torque management which can be good to your lawn for example but I prefer not to be micro-managed by a computer. If I want 100% throttle right away then give me 100 not 50 then ramp up with rpm. It’s more of a personal opinion. Can am only has the drive by wire on the 1k units due to large throttle body’s that cause high sensitivity issues with cable operated units.
Do yourself a fav, go to a dealer and ride a 850 then a 1k. Ignore wide open throttle, feel the feed back of your thumb to the reaction of the bike, you’ll see the delay. Even sensitive cable throttles on big bore engines can be modulated, once your used to the bike you won’t have an issue. If your gonna slow rock crawl a 1k a drive by wire maybe easier but if you want better response and feel cable works better. Less thinking. I had a Polaris DBW style and the mapping was god awful and slow, canam is better about it but you can’t beat the cable drives feel. Honestly I’ll get a 850 outlander next. It’s more power then anyone can honestly use
Tittle Diesel Performance LLC, I drove the xt-p 850 this week. The throttle seemed inconsistent with how much pressure gives how much acceleration. I didn’t have time to drive the 1k. Might do that tomorrow. But, the drive by wire gives you options. That’s why I think I want it (having not experienced it first hand yet). Just like you said, for technical rock crawling, it purposely makes the throttle ague and increases its margin of error to avoid the lurching you might have. On the other end, if you like a snappy response on the throttle, you can have that too. Best of all worlds. But the dealer is really trying to move the xt-p 850 and told me to make them an offer. So I did. If they accept it, I’ll be getting it for $12k with a 2 year warranty. I’ll find out tomorrow. I just can’t bring myself to spend an extra $4k just to have the drive by wire.
$15000 😂😂😂. A sucker born every minute. You can almost buy a new Honda Civic for that.
Ryan Ryan yea it is a expensive bike I bought a 17 Honda rincon last year and had just a hair over 14k in it I guess it depends on what u wanna spend but I have 1500 miles in one year so I’ve got my use Ik that
Jake thequadrunnersnake it’s not the amount of use that is the issue for me. It’s charging a car price for something that takes a tenth of the engineering and time to design and build. The raw material costs for one of these are almost nothing. They have almost no safety regulations to deal with. They make them so ridiculously expensive so the sheeple go out and have to finance it. It’s this mentality that caused the crash.
Civic now is fucking crap
Understand though that this is the Ford raptor of ATVs. Not the Civic, if you want the Civic of ATVs you can get a Honda Recon for about $4500.
Jon Duhaime yes that is a fair point.
I never thought can ams were awesome though.
بيش تبيعهة
All that money and you can't chose a color.
I know
Theodore I would buy one tomorrow if it came in other colours
So...they just copied all the updates that Polaris did to the Sportsman 1k...?
Epic fail BRP. Don't get me wrong. They make good, even great, machines but seriously. They literally just went on the Sportsman 1000 webpage and just said. Yeah...do that
Buuut they did it without building a pos. :D
First
So they copied Polaris?
Are you talking about drive by wire throttle? Can am has had that for years on they're sxs's.
They made the outlander better
Dislike for not providing price info.
You can look up pricing for your country in about 2 clicks on Can-Am's website.
Just buy the outlander 1000 xxc t.Problem solved.
One problem. There not reliable 😂
Adam Does things and that’s why I have a 2017 Honda rincon reliable as hell
Jake thequadrunnersnake due to the lack of power..
Reliable? This isnt a Polaris review
Adam Does things that goes for all can ams though.
30000 can am outlander xt p 1000r I need every monthly send me farm veng district let go
Came for the review but got the same stupid beta-male scripted jokes instead. “Anyone who says this engine isn’t good isn’t someone u should trust dating your daughter”
Ha! But, what beta male would have a daughter?
The jokes do blow.
Stick to talking about the machine please.
Leave the humor for Jerry Seinfeld (and the like) ~
Other than that - thx for perspective.
Dude my 2002 Polaris sportsman 700 twin gots more suspension flex than that
Polaris is the way out.

To all u honda idiots. Honda has not dont shit. In 20 years. Can am has so many models. If honda is so so good u all should have hondas still. If so good
Outlander $20,000 no reliability
King quad $9,500 reliability is outstanding
Grizzly $10.500 reliability is outstanding
Even brute force $11,000 is reliable.
How dose that make sense can am cost that much money and i can hold it self together.
I think we need some tariffs on these luxury atvs from overseas. If people are paying $9k for new Honda's, make that $20k and let's price domestics lower.
I won't argue your point about reliability as I have never owned any of them. But, where are you getting $20k for an Outlander? If you accessorize the crap out of it, you might hit the high teens. But you can get a brand new Outlander for under $7k and a middle of the road variety for $10-11k.
