- I have begun activities to regenerate trees that have been cut down for various reasons.
All the logs I use are scraps.
In most cases, collect the cuttable pieces and give them to a recycler.
The video shows a scene making a red goblet from a tree branch.
Very advanced design work has been completed, so I'm glad to see it to the end!

6:58辺りの光に透かした美しい赤が、人の手を太陽に透かした時の赤と同じ様に見えて、動物と植物なのに不思議です
酒を注ぐ部分の、触れたら欠けてしまいそうな繊細な薄さ、あるかなしかの僅かな曲線が本当に美しいと思います

今の方が格段に上達していて、仕事が遅くて荒かったと感じています。
生木仕事なので、一年間は養生して数回の再研磨と再塗装を繰り返しています。
まだまだ腕を上げるために勉強中です🙇

Real wild old Oud doesn't sink in the water.

Those perfect looking Oud are simply inoculated young trees with men made formula (fungus, etc) = fake Oud all in commercial products and so called fancy brands, doesn't belong to the real wild old Oud like mine over hundreds years Oud on our private inherited ancestry lands ;)

Not your mainstream Oud, in commercial brands are very young cultivated inoculated Oud, not a real rare Oud but synthetic
As most of western and middle east luxury items are just mainstream stuff due to their very limited natural resources.
Most Oud available in present market are of unknown tree. They never show you which tree harvested, how it looks, how old.

カップの方を先に作ってから根元の方を削ると木はやはり反りが大きいんですね！
金属とは違いこの世にひとつしかないものを作れるのは木工の特権ですね！

金属旋盤の事は全く分からないのですが、木の場合は旋盤のチャック(材料を掴む所)から離れるほど衝撃も振動も大きくなるので、基本的にはチャックから離れた所から仕上げる事が殆どのようです。
最近の機械はどんどん進化していてオリジナルを作るのも難しい時代になりそうです😅

Im 61+ have (controlled) hypertension, fibromyalgia and severe osteoarthritis plus other issues so I’m high risk of Death 💀 from COVID-19, currently we have a “commander-in-chief“ (???) that has done NOTHING to keep us from getting COVID-19. Nothing to help her states acquire PPE etc. etc. all the things etc. Testing, tracing- Tracing here?? Is a JOKE!!!
To the current president we have I am an expendable person. In my honest opinion I think we all are, even his Republican “friends“.

Anyway so I’ve been on my body‘s been on hyper alert“ which in plain words means,
IM VERY STRESSED OUT 😰
The rest of the works looks at us like we are laughing stock, because we are!
Yet! He has his “followers” the follow him all around the country and so very many have sadly, sadly died of COVID-19! He’s holding COVID-19 RALLIES! This disturbs me terribly.
People are smitten by him! And people don’t “care“ they say if they get COVID-19 and die, or if they do not, these people at his rallies.
They have been interviewed!
The problem is that you put more stress on our hospital system and there are many medical personnel over here like everywhere who have died from COVID-19. Which is why we try to be safe and stay distance, wear a mask, wash our hands - do all the things, SO WE DO NOT OVERWHELM the HOSPITALS 🏥
My niece is a physician cities away from where I live in a small town.
Anyway I just thought I’d tell you my story & how I happened to watch your video!
I have been trying to find things new to watch to keep my mind busy, and things to calm down.

As a nature lover it really hurts to watch a thick trunk like that to be wasted for a silly showpiece. That tree must have been at least 20 years old and I am sure this guy can make the same showpiece out of a much smaller log.
The worst part is that everyone in the comments is appreciating work that makes our planet a little less beautiful.

I'm using a destroyed tree.
At least I don't cut trees with my own hands. Nobody else used anything and used the abandoned branch. I used the center because the outside was corroded and the inside wasn't rotten, but now that I've learned the technology, I can use it even better.
Sawdust is recycled into building materials.
