- The Han Dynasty with a history of more than 400 years (206 BC-220 AD) is one of the greatest dynasties in Chinese history. What made this dynasty great, in addition to its governing policies, heroic generals and elite troops, was indispensable weapons on the battlefield. The Han Dynasty sword is one of them, possessing a beautiful appearance and high flexibility that helped infantry increase their strength on the battlefield, and is now collected by many sword lovers! Today I will forge and recreate one of those swords !!

Your work is breathtaking, I want to not only watch, but also learn how to work with materials and create such beautiful things. Every time I watch your videos, I remember my grandfather, who sometimes made various metal and wood toys for me when I was little. I watched almost all your videos and enjoyed my time. Please be proud of yourself for what you create and share it with us. I have never commented on your videos until now, but I have very little time left in this world , so I wanted write a positive comment at least once and express my love for your work😄
Thank you man, I appreciate the love you give me. It's sad because of the difficulties you are going through, but please be optimistic, tell me if you want me to share or help you with something, wish you good health!!
Beautiful work, stunning short sword
Thank you for liking this sword!
A truly magnificent masterpiece by an expert with masterclass skills! Respect.

Thank you ! so happy about this..
Excellent work.
Such a beautiful work of art!
Thank bro !
Simply fantastic, congratulations friend
Thank you !!
This sword is a work of art
Thank bro !!!
The design shape of the blade seems very similar to the roman gladius of the same era.
This design does not seem historically accurate. The Han Dynasty jian (double edged swords) were long and slender. The Han Dynasty daos (single edged swords) ranged from short and slender to long and slender. The Han Dynasty did not use "chunky" blades like the sword portrayed in the video. The chunky swords are the bronze-swords made centuries before the Han Dynasty existed.
This sword is from the Warring States Period, not the Han Dynasty.
well, If you've played Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty or watched Blades of the Guardians, you might have noticed that double-edged straight swords weren't very popular among the Chinese military from Han Dynasty to Tang Dynasty. historically, soldiers and civilians generally preferred single-edged ring pommel sabers. In fact, that even the Japanese Tachi and Katana were heavily influenced by this Chinese weapon.
It's also worth noting that while swords were commonly made of bronze during this period, ring pommel sabers were already being crafted from steel. by the Tang Dynasty, Chinese blacksmiths had even mastered the skill of forging authentic Damascus/Wootz Steel, imported through the Silk Road, and used it to create "Bintie" sabers.
Thank you for the very useful information..
Turned out right nicely. I wouldn't mind owning one like it.
Well done. Have a nice day 😊. Peace 🙏
Thank you !!
Incredible video and the knife looks cool 🥰🥰

Hello! My name is Renato, I'm a beginner Brazilian bladesmith. Firstly, I would like to say that I am a fan of your work, I really admire your creativity and talent in this art. I would like to know what these materials are (green and white) that you use to cast brass parts. I have a lot of difficulty casting.
Thank you, the blue color is candle wax, the white substance is gypsum powder mixed with water, a type of plaster specialized for metal casting!

Very beautifull, thanks!
nice work all by hand power a true blacksmith
YES YEA YES
Uh, question. Why don't you finish the surface griding and 95% of the sharpening before you quench? I thought quenching would literally hardens the surface material. Even if you treat it, it remains as hard. So that is giving yourself a harder time to smoothen the surface + sharpening in the later stage.
All in all, your artisan is amazing and end product is fabulous
Thank you. Thinning the blade before tempering will cause the sword to become deformed, and the effort to fix is quite time consuming!

Whoa. Be careful with it, it will hurt you! I also intend to sell some products to people who love it, but I haven't figured out how to ship them abroad yet .
If it was made of Damascus, it would be really beautiful to look at and could probably be worth thousands of dollars
Thank you, I'm working on katana damacus and it's almost finished, please take the time to visit!
Hello, I am following you from Turkey. It is a magnificent work of art. I am very interested in handmade swords, knives and war weapons. I congratulate you, each of your works is beautiful and meticulous, with the quality of a masterpiece. I wish I had a sword like this.
Thank you friend from Turkey, I'm very pleased that you like my video!
Que trabalho magnífico, meus parabéns.
Thank you very much, my friend

Muy buen trabajo.
beautiful!
Thank you !!!
You didn't show us how you tempered the blade, but otherwise, congratulations on another really spectacular build!
👍👍♥️♥️💪💪

Nice job
Amazing work, amazing finish. Does that blade have a longer blade that comes with it? Will you be willing to do a longer blade? Don't care about the critics of your work, all they can do is waffle.
Thank you, this blade can be made as long as you like, but I feel it fits just fine
Perfeito como todos os seus trabalhos 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank bro !!
I'm sure that it's quite the devastating blade, but you've put so much time and serious work into it,and it came out so damned pretty that I would never be able to use it no matter how solid a blade it is.
It's just too fine a piece for anything but showing off. Sure, a wyvern or troll would fall to the thing easily enough, it's a very fine blade, but I couldn't picture it in the hand of anyone below "warlord " status. I think it properly belongs on exhibit in some glittering haunt of the upper classes where the people who have the means to own such things can gaze in the same admiration I feel for that blade
Honestly, I feel very warm from your words about this sword, it's a great motivation for me. Thank you very much ! Wish you all the best and always follow me.
The quench was terrible (too hot at the point) making it fragile, and a round handle makes it unusable as you don't feel were is the edge.
How much $$.
I don't know how to price it, I haven't thought of selling it yet!
Awesome.
Thank you !
Its like a gladius in size.

@@Arts-and-Crafts Ok. Apart from the Turkish sword, "Yatağan", which is also a type of Turkish sword, is a shorter one-handed sword type. Some of the older types of knives may be "Hançer" (Dagger).

It is a sword model of the Han Dynasty
I really want that blade.

I think Chinese iron swords from that era were cast.
I think they were forged, because forging gives strength to the sword!
Is there an actual historical design this sword is based on? This sword design seems too short and chunky to be a Han Dynasty sword. The Han Dynasty jian (double edged swords) were long and slender. The Han Dynasty daos (single edged swords) ranged from short and slender to long and slender. This sword resembles the chunkier bronze-swords made centuries before the Han Dynasty existed.
Ornament sword but not razor sharp enough compare to ancient sword. Ancient sword can cut through steel like slicing into butter. Moreover, it could slice through thin hair and one light slide it could cut through several sheet of paper underneath it. Probably real forging technique were lost in history.
Thank you ! The ancient blacksmithing technique is a masterstroke

No China's, this sword calling "Akinak", sak's, or skith's sword, turk's ancestors
The Han Dynasty is actually the Mahan (Makhan) of Korea. Today, it is divided into colonial history. In fact, Koreans are direct descendants of the emperor and were immigrated to the Korean Peninsula after the 1800s.
Thank you for your useful information!
@@Arts-and-Craftsit’s a joke.
Korea's relationship with China central empire was similar to India's relationship with the British Empire. It was a relationship between a vassal state and a suzerain state.
Probably the strongest dynasty in China
