As for being a new player, it just depends on whether you’d want to play JP Server or not. To play, needs JP App store or some method variant with JP Google, and unless you know how to read in JP, your only main source of knowing near immediately is with fan subs or waiting 2 years for “EN official TLs” to come out. But one of the few benefits is being able to have that feeling of “early arrival / suprise” I guess? Like if Arceuid being revealed was much greater than 2 years later… Now people on overseas would say to just save for Summer servants in terms of meta for example.
