I can identify with the boy. I hate canned corn and will avoid dishes with loose kernels of corn for fear it has that gross canned corn flavor. Few people take the extra step of ringing the kernels before putting inside dishes. Of course it’s possible they shaved the kernels off of the cob, but why take the risk when you know canned is more likely used
The reason many kids dislike foods is a sensory/texture issue - by transforming them (like the mushroom “chips”) you can get kids to try a much wider variety of foods
My mom did this and so did my grandma bc I hated mushrooms for the longest time and as an adult I am not gonna lie I hate meat fat as an adult but it does help a lot to provide different texture bc I love cooking and backing and finally got my cousins to eat certain foods and one of them is an adult lol

I’m more into tofu now but if someone else made something with a good i didn’t necessarily like, i wouldn’t go out of my way to search for the thing.
I like this video idea; I’ve read research that says it can take up to 15 exposures for kids to accept a food, so preparing things in different ways is an awesome idea to get those exposures in! Even picky eaters like Wyatt can learn to like new foods as this series has shown :)
I remember when I was a teenager my parents had something to do so I was watched the younger kids. When I was cooking dinner my brother asked me if it had mushrooms in it. Realizing he was probably asking this because he didn’t like mushrooms. I asked him “do you like mushrooms?” He said no so I told him it didn’t have mushroom in it. He ate it with mushrooms in it. It was a nice sauce for spaghetti and meatballs if you’re wondering.
It could help to discuss the difference between taste and texture. It took me until adulthood to be able to understand that I like mushroom flavor, I like onion flavor, etc. But I don't like the texture. So now I can eat both so long as the texture isn't there. so now I'm cooking with onions most meals, but I cut them pretty small and they always get soft so there's no vegetal crunch(hated by me) and it's too small to get too slimy.
It's something my mum used to say (even to friends that came for dinner): you're allowed to not like something, just leave it on your plate. But, we always had to try it first. The amounts of times I heard "I don't like that" "have you tried it? " "no. I just know I won't like it"
My son was the same way with corn when he was little. Basically, he only ate it when it was in season and on the cobb. He was a very picky eater and would only eat certain foods. It was a nightmare until he grew out of that. I'm a picky eater myself so I couldn't get too upset about it but some things were like, really buddy? To this day he absolutely hates mushrooms and will not eat them and he's 26 now. Without even seeing me cooking them he could smell them when I was sauteeing them in a pan with other things like onions and spices.
Maybe he might like mushrooms of different types? Sometimes I use king oyster mushroom or enoki mushrooms when cooking korean food and they don't have as much of a distinct smell/taste as button or shiitake, they're super plush or stringy and fun to chew
Fried zucchini is legitimately one of my favorite snacks, so if you can ge them acclimated to the idea of eating zucchini, breaded and fried is a fantastic way to introduce it. Who doesn't like fried food?

The avocado chunks in the brownies kinda looked like walnuts. I bet if you put a few walnuts in there too they’d blend right in! This is the greatest series Buzzfeed has produced ♥️♥️♥️
My 18 month old goes through weird phases of hating things he used to love it drives me barmy the latest is banana and cucumber. But the constant hated ones are broccoli and raw tomatoes if he even spots a hint of it rejected. Wyatts reaction just reminded me so much of him 🤣
As a former child who used to dislike certain foods that now i love, Wyatt will most likely grow out of picky eating the older he gets. She should keep trying to have him try them in different shapes and forms. I adore how creative she is with food. I'll watch more of her content because i lack inspiration for food lately.
my parents tried to do this to me all the time and still do lol. i’m not a fan of cheese. if i can avoid it, i do. the only cheesy things i like are pizza (specifically with meat on it) and nachos. i’m a pretty picky eater aside from cheese so they’re constantly trying to find something i like. i’m glad that these kids can be more open to food and aren’t refusing like i used to 😂
I used to hate vegetables, until I tasted them fresh. (Fresh veggies were scarce where I grew up, and frozen were expensive, so my mom always bought canned.) I was blown away by peas the first time I tasted them fresh-picked. I immediately went out and planted some. I used to hate squash, until I tasted them cooked by someone other than my aunt. Now I love squash. Turns out, my aunt prefers her vegetables cooked until they’re mushy. Weird.
One of the best things I cook involves mushrooms and heavy whipping cream. I put the cream, chopped baby portabellas, basil, and chicken bouillon into a pot and simmer them for a while, until the flavors meld. This mushroom soup recipe is also what I used when I make green bean casserole. It's so good either way.
Henry gets so cute in every video, I love him so much! Hannah isn’t the worlds ok-est mom anymore, she’s the worlds greatest mom with Henry and the other kids.
For the cheese dip, you should try mashing the boiled bits of corn and then add it to the cheese dip as a paste. Maybe then they wouldn't notice it too much
I made a mushroom pie and ground up the mushrooms in the food processor to the point that they were unrecognizable as mushrooms. That's another idea. EDIT: I also made pumpkin spice muffins today. I do NOT like pumpkins, but I put pumpkins in a muffin, and they were DELICIOUS!
Stooopppppp these kids have grown up so much and now there is anothor little in the family I cant I'm loosing my mind how much these kids have changed since I've first watched mom in progress
Hannah Hi! I'm from Venezuela, for your corn problem, I can recommend one of our national dishes that it's called CACHAPA, is made out of corn blended with milk and flour sugar and salt, it is like a pancake but you need to eat it with cheese like fresh mozzarella cheese (the type of mozzarella for Caprese salad) or something like that type of texture! Maybe that way Wyatt will enjoy eating corn out of the cob! Hope you try it!
This is honestly the best show on UA-cam. Everytime a new episode is out, it makes me the happiest!! Hannah is just the best 💖🥰❤️😘😘 and the whole family is just precious 🙏.
I’m with Wyatt on the corn. I grew up thinking I hated veggies because all I got offered was like frozen or canned stuff… yuck! Fresh veggies made simply are the best! Just shuck that corn, boil it and bam- delish corn cob! I don’t even bother with butter or salt even!
I watched this for the avocado. I wasn't a picky eater as a child, but I abhorred avocado and would pick it out of sushi. The texture, coldness, 'flavor'... all wrong. Then in my late 20s after I took a certain medication for a few weeks it was a like a light switch had been turned on and I became an avocado lover overnight! I love it in all forms except baked (unless in brownies, of course).
I'm with Jackson on the mushrooms. I love the taste, but hate the texture. I love when mushrooms are in a veggie patty or a sauce, but sliced or whole mushrooms will find their way to the edge of my plate every time.
I'm picky about corn as well, but it's a texture aversion thing--on the cob is great and from a can is great. But creamed corn can take a long walk off a short pier. 😜
Honestly, corn off the cob just isn't good. Ive had frozen and canned and both just taste old and not fresh. I'll eat it, but I just trudge through it.
I'm a extreme picky eater I hate vegetables and fruits and like mushrooms and everything that was in this videos but that nacho dip really did look good and made me even wanna try it. So now I want to hide foods that I don't eat (almost everything) and try it. 😭
That corn plate looked really similar to a Argentinian plate called "Humita a la olla", I find fascinating the similarities between the one you made and the one I grew up eating
I have two kids. One kids LOVES hummus, but HATES chick peas. The other LOVES chick peas but HATES hummus. I've tried making hummus WITH my kids, and that didn't work either LOL
I don't think that Hannah failed with the first mushroom dish, I mean yes it wasn't what she meant to put in or use but it still came out looking great, the kids really liked it I love mushrooms and chicken myself so I would try it
This is very cool. I don't have kids myself but maybe in the future, who knows. But I'd love to try this someday, I love to cook and this is a great way to let the kids learn to eat, like and respect their food. It's also very cool that you are willing to compromise with your kids by trying to get them to like the foods in a cool an yummy way! Great video 😊🧡

Omg I love Wyatt’s new hairdo! But he looks so much older haha
Ok, but we're gonna need all those recipes. They looked amazing!!
I absolutely adore Hannah and her family so muuuuuuch
3:13, sweet boy 🥺🥺🥺🥺 my heart 😭
I love Wyatt’s haircut. He looks so cute!
Wyatt and Henry look so similar!! But Jackson looks so different to everyone
I remember doing this when my kids were little, thankfully they are teenagers now.
Hannah’s kids are the funniest I swear
I'm a extreme picky eater I hate vegetables and fruits and like mushrooms and everything that was in this videos but that nacho dip really did look good and made me even wanna try it. So now I want to hide foods that I don't eat (almost everything) and try it. 😭
That corn plate looked really similar to a Argentinian plate called "Humita a la olla", I find fascinating the similarities between the one you made and the one I grew up eating
I think you mean dish.
I have two kids. One kids LOVES hummus, but HATES chick peas. The other LOVES chick peas but HATES hummus. I've tried making hummus WITH my kids, and that didn't work either LOL
I’m like Wyatt! I won’t eat corn unless it’s on the cob 😂❤️
I don't think that Hannah failed with the first mushroom dish, I mean yes it wasn't what she meant to put in or use but it still came out looking great, the kids really liked it I love mushrooms and chicken myself so I would try it
Me who mushrooms are literally MY FAVOURITE FOOD… I feel shocked 😮
“Corn fail”, “corn fantasy”. 😂🤣😂🤣
Wyatt always looks like he's about to throw up when he takes a bite 😂
wyatt’s so much more open minded!
I wish someone was willing to hide my least favorite foods in yummy things haha
I used to hate corn unless it was on the cob in which case I loved it... Flavour seemed different
It’s usually less soggy in the cob, and the butter and salt and pepper ratios are different. Plus it’s fresh instead of frozen
Soon to be a first time mom and honestly, all of these sound really good right now since I'm pregnant. Will definitely have this saved and use this!
Okay. I LOVE that you spelled "moist." It isn't a trigger word for me, but it makes me happy that you thought of others.
Wyatt‘s haircut looks amaaaaaazzziiinnnggg oh god I‘m 19 and feel super old already while watching the kids grow up…🥲
(Hannah u look amazing too with your hair!!)
Kisses from Germany! 🍀🥰
She need merch
That says “Mmmmmmm so good.”
Next time try making Matt’s least favorite foods!!
It's "Mom in Progress", not "Wife in Progress".
i think the zucchina pancakes look like okonomiyaki also known as japanese savoury pancakes.
It's a fritter made in a skillet instead of deep fried.
I wish i had a mum like this
