China has constructed roads ( Quality is questionable) China brings its own citizens to Zambia to work, they are paid in chinese currency. These people have to buy their groceries only from Chinese stores marked for them. They can use only Chinese resturants. This means that the money generated by wages to the chinese there goes back to China . Added to this the minerals are extracted and taken to China. China gives bribes to get contracts to everyone from the top . All promises are broken . China wants to make Africa its colony.
POLITICAL CONTROL held by a foreign country is what defines a colony. If China, Britain or the USA has political control over Zambia, then it is a colony. If the Zambian government holds political control, then it is an independent nation.
