How to make a Slime-Filled Bubbling Cauldron Cake for Halloween | Cupcake Jemma

- It's Halloween time!! Finally!! It's so annoying that it only happens once a year. Well, anyway, if you're looking for something spooktacular to whip up for the occasion this year then look no further! This bubbling cauldron cake is going to blow your minds!
You will need to make 4 layers (5") of your favourite cake. Mine is...
250g plain flour
275g caster sugar
45g cocoa powder
3/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 tsp salt
160ml coffee
160ml buttermilk
160ml vegetable oil
2 large eggs
Quantity of your favourite buttercream
Black sugarpaste
Green jelly/jello

Helpful tip: drag a knife or skewer through the batter (just swirl it around in wavy lines) once it's in the pan to stop it making a dome when it bakes :D

Can we use icing sugar instead of cornstarch when working with fondant
Harvey Pulford cornflour brushes off and leaves no evidence, where as icing sugar leaves white marks over the fondant and is more difficult to work the fondant! 😊
Harvey Pulford you can but it also changes the texture and taste but it isn’t that big of a deal for beginners ❤️
