Don't know if this has been mentioned, but Frank's Red Hot sauce is what is used to make Buffalo sauce. They just combine Frank's with butter.

Alana is such a precious little angel. She is finally big enough to get her own burger and fries. The look on her face is priceless. That smile always makes my day. Especially when I am missing my granddaughters but in all honesty, if I go for a week without seeing them I miss them.

Saw a video that said when they don't feel like making ice cream that day they will just say the machine is broken
Saw something once, the machines require so much maintenance to keep them clean (sanitary) that they are down for cleaning more often than they work. Thats why they are always "broken"

The ice cream machine is always "down" because they are supposed to clean it every day and its apparently super hard to clean, so they just lie and say the machine is down that way they dont have to serve ice cream and clean the machine. The self-cleaning machine takes something like 4 hours to clean itself, and the ones that have to be manually cleaned have to be taken apart and the parts washed individually. Because of this, ice cream machines are down at most mcdonalds most of the time.

McDonald's Ice cream machines are self cleaning. Some freezing unit needs to be reset and only the service tech can do it.

Frank's RedHot was developed in Cincinnati, Ohio but today is produced in Springfield, Missouri.
Franks Red hot was invented in New Iberia, Louisiana, in the 1920's
Well apparently the owner of the company in Cincinnati hooked up with the people to formulate the product where it was produced there and is currently produced in Missouri. There. Everyone is correct in some form or fashion.

I love the channel guys, BUT! I avoid McDonald's and Frank's Red Hot like the plague. I know you are limited in the U.K. but we have way better choices here in the U.S. as you stated. McDonald's has good fries and good orange soda, that's it. Frank's Red Hot should just be called Frank's Red sauce because there's nothing Hot about it. I did love your video as I do all your videos. @@LordLOC Yes Franks original is kind of a "daily driver" hot sauce for the masses. It routinely wins taste tests on America's Test Kitchen for that reason.
It's sort of the McDonalds of hot sauces. You know it will be good but not complex. It's also sort of the initiation sauce for wings. People start with the medium and work up to hot and the start trying other hot sauces.@@bothellkenmore

I go to McDonalds for breakfast, but after noon only when my kids drag me there instead of the clear better choices around.
At McDonald’s the quality has gone way down, portion size has gone down, and the prices have gone through the roof. And because of that I don’t do McDonald’s anymore.
AKA Hoot325... Anyways, I have to say, I hadn't had McDonalds in about 10 years, until last fall. My adult daughter was on a trip with me, and both of us were hungry. Not enough to eat a gas station sandwich, but almost. We got McD's, and it wasn't horrible... I wouldn't turn it down as quickly next time, but... I try my best to eat at local owned shops as much as I can. The food is usually great and I support the community. We counted up one day where we have work lunches, and we eat local about 82% of the time (yeah, we work with numbers, so of course we figured out a percentage, LOL). Lil H is growing so fast, I applaud y'all for showing her there is a world beyond the front door. Some of us didn't learn that for years, and a few still don't know.

Hi all! I didn’t realize McDonald’s has these spicy burgers. I’ll have to pass this along to my spouse, he likes the spicy stuff. Alana is just as cute as ever.
I have a pretty low spice tolerance so I usually never order spicy versions of things (except Mexican food for some reason!). My usual go-to at McDonald's is a McChicken or Sausage McMuffin.
Gave up on McDonald’s several years ago. If they start frying the pies again in the USA, I might reconsider.
I really miss those fried pies. I was jealous that they get the fried pies in England but we don't have them, because the one Mrs. H bit into sounded like it was fried. We should start a petition. lol
I can tell you with certainty that the ice cream machines are very rarely “out of order”. The machines are a pita to clean and the staff usually either doesnt want to clean it, or a previous shift shut the machine off without emptying it or cleaning it. And again they dont want to clean it.
Frank's Redhot is made in Springfield, Missouri. It's sold around the world, even in England.

I go sometimes in the mornings for an Egg McMuffin. I will rarely go for a big Mac. I avoid McDonald's other than that.
I’m from Texas. And I’d rather eat from Whataburger. Frank’s Red Hot goes good on most everything.
My mouth can’t take anything spicy. My go to order is either a Big Mac meal with a strawberry shake….when the ice cream machine is working. That pie looks so good. I hope it comes to America too.

Great vid! I do like Frank's (it's my go-to here in the states). It's only about 4 ingredients though, mostly just vinegar, salt, garlic, cayenne and maybe one or two other things in small quantities--so it's not something I'd expect people to be 'blown away' by, so your reactions are about on point. Nice to have it as an option for sure though! Thanks again for the reviews!

Franks Red Hot was invented in 1917 in Louisiana on the Estilette Pepper Farm. And it hit the market in 1920. It was also used in the original Buffalo wing sauce, as a secret ingredient, in Buffalo, New York in 1964.
My personal favorite chicken sandwich is from Bojangles. But their fries are too salty, so I ask for unseasoned fries.

We don’t have those here, the biggest thing they do that people pay attention to is when the McRib comes back. Do they have Happy Meals in the UK? Don’t know if they come in the kind of carry-box we have, and a toy with it too. Usually McDonalds fries get eaten on the way home because once they’re cold they may as well go in the garbage because they’re inedible and trying to heat them up just makes them worse. Baby H needs to graduate to Toddler H now! She’s growing so fast and so chatty!

Supposedly the original Buffalo sauce is Frank's hot sauce with lots of melted butter and a splash of white vinegar. I will be using that this weekend for the Super Bowl.
I haven't been at a McDonald's in over 10 years. I stopped going to fast food years ago. When I do get a craving it is for Wendy's Classic Chocken Sandwich.

I had to check our menus over here, because I never get anything spicy unless it's Chinese. (I risked it with Dominos sweet mango habanero sauce for their boneless chicken once, and ow!) They do have spicy and spicier versions of one of the chicken sandwiches, but different name, no mention of Frank's sauce. Ghu only knows if it's close in any way!
P.S. I do use a hot sauce at home when cooking Chinese, but it's Huy Fong Sriracha, the bottle with the rooster.
Not had McD's as I've been once or twice since Covid hit here as their ordering ability is wack. But LOVE Franks Red Hot. Might have to at least go look at the menu ;)

Since they went up on their value menu, I almost never go to McDonald's. They used to be the cheapest. Love their fried and nostalgic for their nuggets, but I haven't been a fan since I was a kid. There are so many other options now. Better fast food, but also fast casual and an array of local places priced similarly, but better.

OK Folks...Franks Hot Sauce was invented in 1918 in New Iberia, in the state of Louisiana...and first bottled in 1920. Fast forward to 1964 to Buffalo ,New York and Franks was the Basis for the Sauce that was used to makes the first BUFFALO WINGS invented at the "Anchor Bar & Grill"! Apparently not os very popular and is available in 20 countries. I'd bet you could find it in the UK if you look about! ...FYI..the famous TABASCO SAUCE was also invented in the State of Louisiana (around 1868) in a location called Avery Island!! BTW...Beautiful Baby Elana is growing up SO FAST!! ☺
McSpicy is not available in the U.S. in any kind. It was developed in Asia and is now in Australia and UK. But not over here.

In my opinion, Franks isn’t very spicy but it has great flavor. Popeye’s spicy chicken sandwich is my favorite! So glad y’all are getting one!!

They have a list of burgers that are $.29 if you buy one, so you can get 2/4 pounders for the price of one basically that really helps the cost.

It wouldn't be McDonald's if the ice cream machine was working all the time. It's so common there have actually been investigations into what it's all about. Conspiracy theories abound! I would love to have a Kit Kat McFlurry. That sounds awesome! I wish you could have had the McDonald's fried apple and cherry pies. They discontinued them in America in 1992 and went to a baked version which is okay I guess, but nowhere near as good as the fried ones. They used to have a deal where you could get the cherry ones real cheap on George Washington's birthday (cherry tree story). Apparently you can still get them in Hawaii and there may even be one hold out in California but you're pretty much stuck with the baked pies everywhere else. The fried ones were screaming hot and would burn your tongue if you ate them too soon but that was all part of the fun! LOL
Ive actually never heard of the franks one but i live in a small rural town in ohio lol. I havent tried either yet but now im interested. My go to is the wendys spicy chicken sandwich

I heard that British MC D's don't mix their McFlurries so that they are "healthier" which (possibly the government) makes them end up putting less sweets in the ice cream. In the US there is practically candy in every spoonful.
Could be, we only get a sprinkle of the candy on top the mcflurry, not mixed. Although I think when I was a child they were mixed and much better.

I’m a quarter pounder with cheese freak. I don’t know why other burgers are amazing but I get a really good deal on quarter pounders with cheese from there. I also like the fillet fish I’m kind of a nut about those two.
Franks Red Hot is from Louisiana. Its the only kind I buy. I could "put that sh*t on everything".

As I've been told. It takes 4 hours to break down, clean and reassemble the ice cream machine.
I don't go to McDonald's very often as there are objectively better fast food joints. However, I sometimes have cravings for specific things whether it is from Burger King, McDonald's, etc.. Sometimes I just want the exact flavor of a Whopper or a Big Mac. That said, Burger King sometimes does a copycat of the Big Mac called the Big King and it is usually better (but not always... no idea what small changes they make each time.)
As for Frank's. I'm a chilihead so I have a ton of hot sauces. Frank's isn't even remotely close for my go-to for heat but as others have mentioned it is part of the base wing sauce recipe. I do use it for that as well as adding a more vinegary hit to some of my other recipes rather than just adding vinegar. For whatever reason though, I do love dabbing Frank's on my scrambled eggs with bacon (but I also add a few dashes of Kiva's smoked ghost pepper powder as well.) It is on Amazon but I don't know if they ship to the UK. Be careful with it though if you do want to try it out.
Frank's Extra Hot is my go to table hot sauce.

Not a big fan of Frank's. I love Texas Pete though. It's about the flavor and to me Texas Pete has a better flavor. I haven't been to a McDonald's in decades. My go-to for burgers is Red Robin...Banzai Burger...YUMMM
Thats very normal in the US for any of the milkshake or ice cream machines to be broke down I went to two in my town both were down and all my husband wanted was a shamrock shake had to got to Dairy queen to get them to make one
I have tired the raspberry and white chocolate pie and they are really lovely but as for the mc spicy red hot frank burger it's definitely not hot enough for me and i dont think its worth the high cost
Here in the US people are starting to boycott McDonalds and other fast food restaurants because they've raised prices over 50%. It's now cheaper to buy groceries and eat at home than to go out and grab a burger and fries.
I go to Mcdonald's after finding out they use a high quality beef over the competitors. 80/20. Burger King and Wendy's use 50/50 beef. In- n- Out use a 60/40.
Frank's is the original buffalo wing hot sauce. Alana's burger seems dry. Maybe ketchup?
I could never understand where the love for Franks or Tabasco hot sauce comes from. They are the most bottom of the barrel hot sauces available. I can walk in to an any grocery store blindfolded and pick out 5 hot sauces better than those. I guess it just comes down to marketing.

I read once that many trained chefs (of course, this was per the article) would choose Wendy's if they had to choose a chain fast food joint. I think Wendy's is one of the best, but I didn't do the research for the article. YMMV

I saw a video that said that McDonald's workers will just say that the ice cream machine is broken, when they don't feel like making ice cream that day, because it takes a little extra work and they are very lazy about making it.

My favorite is the big Mac I can eat two of those but I broke my record buying four of them and I always order it. No pickles, extra my Mac sauce and extra onion.

Franks is good on anything. Not sure why McDs added jalapenos to it. Franks alone should have been enough.

I'm not a big fan of McDonald's but I'm curious how that new Frank's Red Hot is.
Frank's Red Hot, and butter makes the best hot wings sauce.
Franks is good, but I never use it straight up. I just use it as a base for or to add a bit of spice to a sauce.
Edit: There's actually a bit of a story and reason why McDonald's ice cream machines are always broken. I'm sure you could find it if look around. It's pretty dumb.
It's really ironic that the milk shake machines keep breaking down since the first CEO of McDonald's, Ray Kroc, started out as a milk shake machine salesman who sold the machines to the McDonald brothers, the founders of the original restaurant in San Bernardino, California. He went into business with them and started franchises. The rest is history. I'm sure if he were still alive, there would not be any problems with the milk shake machines!
