so was mine in that case its a factory issue or shipping problem if you can give the right amounth of info they will usually send a replacement headset steap support is pretty understaindable and helpfull :p
Was in the middle of playing Half Life Alyx and my Index VR headset quit working exactly as you had explained yours quit working. One side went out and then after trying to restart SteamVR both sides are not working and the message about reconnecting just like the one you got is on the screen. Also, I can see on my monitor that the headset is tracking, but the headset is not working and going from red to solid blue LEDs. We’re you able to fix yours? I’ve spent hours trying everything I heard recommended online and have started a support ticket with Steam. I would sure like to know if you got your issue resolved.
my index will switch to it being primary monitor but when i put the headset on to try to switch monitors the headset just shows black screen, this is probly one of the most infuriating technical issues it's had with a piece of hardware
@@SteluckDX my thing keeps saying the same message so we replace the headset but it still won’t work i think the problem was with the computer we sent it to the repair people but they said we have to ask steam itself to fix the error or something
Nah my graphic card was not the problem i can play tons of very high demanding games it was the connection on the wire breaker that went losse they shipped me a new headset and it works perfectly since
please like and help me spread the word to valve
Internet Technicians be like: Have you tried turning it off and on?

Contact steam support show then all the evidence and they will replace it

i just play 4days and got a same problem.....what should i do
Just get a new cord if that does not work get the valve index headset alone that's 450 ish in us um for a cord is like 20 or 30 pounds/money

yep by doing this they shipped me a new headset
