Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Obviously, given the massive growth, most disagree with your assessment or at least it does not affect their decision to buy/ We bought a second home at the Wharf (3 BR/3B) but rarely visit since it stays booked. Virtually all of these "disadvantages" are true for virtually any locale. Try telling someone from CA, NJ or NY that Orange Beach is expensive. Most commuters have a substantial journey to work no matter where you live. The traffic situation is true for ANY area with a rapid population increase. Nashville, which is nearby, has exploded to 2 million and it's now "rush hour" traffic at all times. Yet the mad rush has not slowed down. The no 1 problem for us would be the state income tax (we're from TN). Not sure if you want people to come or not - lol
If you would watch the whole video we talk about the negative things because we are trying to be honest with people and tell them the truth so they can be informed when making a decision to move here or not. We live here and LOVE IT. Of course it’s not for everyone but we prefer to be honest rather than lie and have someone do something based on our recommendations and then get angry with us. Yes it is cheaper to live here than California but who the heck wants to move to California. LOL While this is a great place to live it is far from perfect and we just want to be honest. Plus this video is merely our opinion. We are locals and live here full time and there are certain things that suck but it’s the price you pay to live in Paradise. Thanks for watching.
Gonna be honest with you, I am not familiar with how much a police officers salary is, but whatever it is I can tell you it is not enough in my opinion. I have seen some of the officers around here renting apartments and also seen some in half a million to a million dollar condo and houses so I guess it just depends. What area in the world are you located now? Also thank you for EVERYTHING you do, I am sure you do not hear that enough!!!
