RK3 Designs is a learning studio focused on teaching how to create beautiful epoxy finishes using Stone Coat Countertop Epoxy. These tutorials include epoxy countertops for kitchens, bathrooms, and much more. This channel provides tutorials for DIYers, contractors, designers, or artists.
Rhonda Dracoulis Founder and Primary Instructor
RK3 Designs started as a way for Rhonda to showcase her creativity but has blossomed into a way to help others find theirs. Her obsession with painting led her to start refinishing furniture and kitchen cabinets. She found customers wanted a nicer option than laminate but more affordable and customizable than natural stone, which lead her to countertop epoxy! Since then, she’s helped thousands of students, from across the country (and even Canada eh?).
If you prefer a more hands-on learning experience, book a class with Rhonda today: www.RK3designs.com/book-online RK3 offers numerous classes that cater to different levels of experience.

My mouth is still open...the tip about leaving your roller in your paint is genius. Thanks so much.
Thanks!!!! 😊😊😊
Wow! I really love the way this turned out. Beautiful table top! This one is a “blue ribbon” winner!
Loved this new product. Wish it was available in India for DIY enthusiasts like me.
You knocked this one out of the park.
Awe….thanks so much!
THIS is the COOLEST thing Rhonda I have EVER see you do, and that's saying a lot after ALL I've seen you do!! JUST WOW!!!! OMG
I love this and would love to see more projects like this. Colors for my house would be western colors. Love my coppers. I would like to see the texture medium use without the rollers to get some ideas that can be done. Thanks for showing us different ways to do things.
Thank you so much! Im working on some other finishes with texture to show you all! ❤️
The table is gorgeous and leave the legs as is.
Awesome. That’s what I ended up doing. 😊
The nicest piece I've seen in a long while ! ❤
I loved every step so far. I think I’d like to try black and silver
Yes put the gold on it will be nice
Oh my gosh Rhonda rocks!!! Thank you!!
Thank you!!!! ❤️
That would be beautiful for a man's desk. Wonderful work Rhonda.
This was the first time I have watched a video of yours. Your work is absolutely beautiful and now my mind is spinning with ideas for furniture makeovers.
You knocked this one right out of the ballpark! Wow!! Love these types of creative projects and then seeing how you preserve it with SCC epoxy is a bonus. It looks like a lot of fun, can't wait to try this :)
Thank you!!!!! You’ll have so much fun and love the results when you do. 😊
that turned out Gorgeous!!! if I were doing it for my house I would paint the legs black. Love watch you , you're very explanative so I think anyone could do it eventually
Thank you!!! That is my goal to help as many as I can so they can have fun like me 😊😊😊
If people want to use wall mud AKA spackle, mix 70% glue all with 30% water. That gives it the hardness you need and it wont crack when it dries. It works for me anyway.
This is the 2nd. Time I've watched your technique video. The legs on this table are fine with this technique...beautiful!
It's a beauty!!! Of course I would love to see more of this type of projects!! Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge.
OH MY GOODNESS !! RHONDA, absolutely gorgeous 😍❤️!! I can't even tell you how excited I was to watch this video! Your talents are amazing and I really enjoy watching your videos! I will try to watch more of your live videos. I'll have to set a reminder on my phone. Lol. My first big project is going to be my shower walls! Carrera marble☺️. From Stone Coat Countertops video. Then my bedroom furniture! I've been practicing different techniques for a year now. My friend needed a granite top for a small kitchen island to match her kitchen countertops, but I'm struggling with this technique! I also joined the foil club from Artistic Painting Studio and I'm watching Jennifer's videos too. Your a great teacher with great talent!! Thank you for sharing! So I'm going to make some small wooden jewelry boxes for my granddaughter and 4 niece's. Thank you so,so, much!
You are so very welcome. Have fun with all your projects ❤️
It turned out beautiful!! Looks like you went out and wrestled a gaiter for the top and then blinged him up!!
🤣🤣🤣. Thank you!!
I should have a business doing this because I love love love different textures, medias, never plain, and original creations. I'd rather form with my hands then say a mold, or if a mold is necessary I do things like put soap bubbles on top of UV resin before curing, then a rubbing or dusting of using a mica powder w/glitter then top it off. Beautiful! Or plastic wrap for a silk or wrinkled effect.
You would love this technique!! I’ve done the bubbles and plastic as well. So much fun!
I'm not blowing smoke when I say that I learn something new from every one of your videos I've watched.
Aww. That’s sweet!! Thank you!! ❤️
Wall mud does crack and it looks like crap when it drys. Learned that lesson the hard way. Ronda, I love your videos. You are so talented and creative. I've learned so much from you!!
Is it weird that I love the slapping sound the epoxy makes when you were whipping in the bronze dust? 😁😆beautiful work, Rhonda… just beautiful! ❤️
Lol. NoC that’s not weird at all 🤣🤣🤣
I really like this kinda video. I think I would use a dark green as a base. The top turned out amazing! Thanks for sharing this! 💯 ❤

@@RK3Designs That is such a sweet gesture 😍
I was wondering about using red for your undercoat... I remember hearing that it will enhance copper or even gold.
I am loving this piece, and always appreciate your pro tips.

It really is beautiful in persons. Would e a fabulous kitchen table. 😊
@@RK3Designs I’m almost finished! I absolutely LOVE it!
Gorgeous as always. I really enjoy watching your tutorials..I plan on making it to Texas soon to take one of your classes because I'm so inspired. ❤🙌🏾 I personally won't have used the black glaze as much BUTTTTT we know "you can't stop there and have to take it up a notch" 🤣 But that's why we came here for anyway 😉
Lol. You know me 🤣🤣. I would love to have you come join us in a class! ❤️
Happy anniversary. I think it needs turquoise! 😁
YES!! Always!!!
Very interesting Honda 😊

I can do that for sure!! 😊😊
Beautiful work.i would use gloss.
Thank you!!😊
very beautiful /would like to learn in a classroom with you ....... cuz we student can order what we want that we do not hv in our countries
YOU just gave me an idea; I have 2 wooden 4 drawer file cabinets that a client asked for something to go into a man's library/office with a Mad Men type decor.. guess what I will be doing to those file cabinets now? I was going to painstakingly do wood stains to look like inlayed wood in a Great Gatsby Art Deco design, but I think I like this so much better.. of course, I will use just the UTC.
That will look epic. If the file cabinets are metal, you’ll want to apply a good bonding primer first before you trowel on the texture medium so you have good adhesion.
I wanted you to use an emerald green for the 2nd foil color
Gorgeous! Want to make over file cabinets quick and easy. Wondering if I could use the foils with a top coat?
Absolutely stunning. You have just inspired me to do something like this, but on a smaller scale. Maybe make MDF wall watches etc. Problem is that we can't get StoneCoat in South Africa. I will need to look for similar products on everything you used. Thank you for sharing. I love your work❤️❤️❤️💖💖
Thank you!!! I really appreciate you watching me. 😊
I absolutely love this table! I wouldn't change the legs, so rich looking. When u said Crock roller I wasn't sure, but this is one of my favorites so far. So beautiful. And... I also would love to see and feel the texture. Would UTC cover this? Is UTC a resin based priduct?product?? Talk more about UTC and why it's needed over the best resin. Thanks!
I would like to see red with the black glaze with gold and copper foil. Liken to do my counter top. Cathy c. That was wonderful.
Love it and yes leave the legs that color,.it will look beautiful in your abode
Thank you!! ❤️
