DJI still hasn't managed, even with this new version, to resolve the horrible green teardrop flare that appears in all backlit shots. in fact in this video it is continuously visible ruining the video.
Solid point! This is a well-known issue since DJI OA4. My opinion is that the flare is normal for all action cams (or other cams with wide lenses) when facing the strong light with some variant angle. But somehow the DJI OA has an ugly look with the flare that looks like a “trumpet”. Hope it can be resolved in the future with different lenses / filters or coatings.
Interesting! Since I’m using the camera for my moto-riding and touring, it’s common to get the dust, even stone chips, through to the camera. I would never take any risk to remove the lens cover and get chances to scratch the lens 😁
i still find using normal video mode, shutter speed 1/200~1/8000(could probably use 1/120 in your scenario since you use a body mount that absorbs some of the vibrations), iso 100~25600, Stabilization Scenario sport, looking better than supernight, did comparisons on this firmware and the previous, supernight just makes the footage look brighter than it really is and blurs some of the details.

@@atmojojo_you can remove the lens cover and it improves.
