Him and Delta Burke were so hilarious together. When her played her maid Consuela.... I've never laughed so hard in my life. Thank you for all the fun and laughter.
Designing Women wouldn't have been so successful if it wasn't for Meshach and Delta. The chemistry between them was great as actors. I still watch that show and it makes me laugh and smile especially when Meshach is playing Anthony. Sometimes I will cry because I know he's gone. Also, seeing Dixie Carter knowing she's gone as well. Thank you Meshach for the gift of laughter. May you Rest In Eternal Peace. God Bless the family. My all time favorite show, DESIGNING WOMEN!
Delta made me cry. She went through all kinds of hell and he was there for her when no one else was. He was such a kind and caring man. I wish I would have had the opportunity to have met him. RIP, Meshach, we will miss you forever.
Thank you so much. He was my second uncle and it was hard to see him go. He died on my moms birthday and I was only 3 or 4. Its very difficult to watch this so thank you so much from him.

Such a funny, funny, kind man. Years ago, I was roaming around Hollywood with a couple of friends. A van pulled up in front of Mann's, asking if anyone would like to go to a live taping. Of course, we said that we would. When we walked into the studio, I realized that it was Designing Women. What you don't see on TV was the wonderful interaction between the actors and the cast between takes. Meshach turned to the audience at several points in the show, to joke with us and generally make us feel very welcome. He was a warm human being. He did so much to make the experience great. I loved that man, and the show. Long live Hollywood Montrose.
Loved Meschach Taylor on Designing Women, just loved the character which came from his exceptional acting! I’m ashamed to say I didn’t know that he’d died. My only excuse is health issues & a hospitalization. Joe Montegna’s eulogy was one of the most moving speeches I’ve ever heard; what a beloved, heartfelt send off! Rest well sir.♥
Out of the blue, Meshach Taylor popped into my mind today. I had no idea he and Joe Mantegna were friends, let alone such good (best?) friends. I've wished Joe Mantegna was my father since I was a little girl in the 80s (I didn't really have one). I just love his voice, how handsome he is, his mannerisms, etc. I enjoyed watching this, it shows me that in real-life Mr. Mantegna really is a decent, loyal, kind man, like I'd always thought he must be, watching him in films growing up. How nice that he and Mr. Taylor had such a wonderful, normal, beautiful friendship in the crazy place that is Hollywood.
This song Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now from the movie Mannequin 2 at his funeral made me cry so much here, I'm crying a lot in November 2023, I didn't know about his death, I miss him.
Joe's eulogy is so touching!! I just got home from my working of pulling 78hrs at the hospital. I cry *SOOOO MUCH* at the hospital lately. Joe's eulogy made me laugh because I can see the 2 of them having those talks!! *Meshach* was a great man!!! I'm so *PROUD* of Delta and how she stood up there and gave her words so beautifully. You could *ALWAYS* see that too!! I know she took losing him hard!!

God bless him he was a wonderful actor. He always made me laugh when I was feeling down. Thank you turn my heart. Rest in peace I'll never forget you I'll never forget you
Damn, when I saw his son I thought it was Meshach Taylor and had to see if I was actually viewing the wrong funeral and Meshach was speaking at someone' else's funeral! His son looks JUST LIKE his daddy!
This is the best video I've seen in a long time. I just live Meshak. He is a ray if sunshine in a dark storm. I am so sad he's no longer with us for it's been seven years and I didn't know due to my own sickness. I hope the family has peace of mind and heart and know that there is live in Atlanta Ga for you all. RIP great one. Love and light
Everything Meschach has done was gold but I will always cherish his performance as Hollywood the gay artist in Mannequin, that performance alone open my heart to appreciate and the LGBTQ community, before I had distaste and homophobic vibes around them, but that character help me to see my ignorance, that character made me smile, gave me a change of heart.
The episodes with Meshach on CM were my favorites. I always wondered if they knew each other outside of the show because they played off each other so well.
I didn't realize he had passed until tonight. I had been watching the Mannequin quite a bit the last few weeks and decided I wanted to read up on him and his life and watch old interviews and stuff because I just love him so much. Well then I realized he had passed and found this video and watched the entire thing crying. When they played Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now while realasing the doves I just lost it. Thank you so much to whoever posted this. Rest in Peace to such a beautiful soul. Those that knew him are so lucky to have had such an amazing person in their lives.

Beautiful eulogy of an amazing, talented, gracious, kind in spirit humble human being- Meshach Taylor. So many loving tributes from family and dear friends. Meshach ran his race. He ran it well. I know the moment he graduated to Heaven and came face to face with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was absolutely glorious. Simply beyond our expectations and imagination. To hear the words of “ Well done good and faithful servant “ from Jesus Christ- Yeshua Ha Mashiach. Joe , His Holy Name is Yahweh God the Father. He showed himself to you - twice now. God bless. Until we are all reunited again in God’s Glory and kingdom. Amen

I found this six years after his transitioning. I’m watching out of respect for Mr Taylor. Trying not to cry 😢.
