I have been emailing 5.11 pretty much daily to bring back this line because I need the helmet/shove it AND admin gear sets. But I'm only one voice. You have the followers and viewers. Maybe together we can all get them to bring back one of the best bag lines ever made for pro and every day users!
I love the AMP pack. I'm currently working at 5.11 Tactical myself and I'm obsessed with kitting it out to put on display, unfortunately we don't sell a lot them as customers want something alittle cheaper like the Rush or Daily Deploy packs. But for anyone watching this video and looking for a 5.11 Backpack, I highly recommend the AMP packs, easily customisable and low profile by choice.
Before buying this bag (really fast shipping direct from 5.11) I read a review/complaint that there wasn’t a pass through in the laptop/hydration area for a hose. Plus the 2 zippers for that area spread apart vs coming together, thus you can’t cinch the zippers around a hose where you want it to come out. Thanks to this video I gotta go look closer foe the pass through you’re using! UPDATE: Found them! The AMP12 features two separate hydration port pass through openings at the top of the hydration/laptop section. The ports are well hidden, appearing as a double-stitched seam on the back of the bag ~4-5” to the left and right of top dead center. If this video didn’t articulate how well made this bag is, wait till you see how clever these hydration ports are.
I’m in the USA and I’ve looked everywhere for the 9x9 utility gear set. So far I haven’t had any luck finding one. Yes it’s bulky compared to the other gear sets other than the helmet shove it gear set but for my specific needs, it’s perfect.
Thank you for the great review. You show a lot of amazing products. And this is really an amazing backpack. I am going to order it right now. And the Gear Sets too. I might add that it was a bit confusing as the Admin Gear Set (5.11 term) seems to be a different product than the Utility 9x9 Gear Set, which you show here.
Great vid...Thanks. I have most of these packs and bags. I also have the 'All Missions Rig' chest system. I like having some of these pouches and bags on my chest when I hike for easy access. I can adjust and add what I need on any hike using the velcro or molle attachment.
You forgot the two secret side pockets and the bottom front. Also, there are straps at the bottom of the hydration section that keeps your laptop from hitting the ground. Very clever. That said I didn’t know about the inner hanging loops...opens up many possibilities. Thanks!
Afew months ago I got my Amp72 in color tungsten with the helmet shove it gearset on the outside and the admin gearset on the inside and I cannot live without my backpack, I love it.
The AMP series is awesome! I went for the 10 but the versatility of the entire series is amazing. I think I have about 4 different setups and the switch between them is next level!
I'm going to eventually get this pack with two Admin gearsets, one for the inside and one for the outside. I'll probably use this around the city. Thanks for the video.
I have the 24 and I love it. I use for work, camping, hiking, everyday use and it’s the best multi use pack I have ever had. I haven’t got any of the gear sets though so really interested in your video and how you use them. I feel a spend coming on…🤣
Great video presentation on the AMP 12 backpack. I have been searching for a new modular-style bag for EDC. I believe you sold me on the AMP series! Thank you for the detailed examples on the various configuations.
This is a well made pack and will be ordering one soon. I have the eberlestock bandit to replace my smaller packs and this will replace my mid sized packs that both sized ones I own are cheaper but now I can afford to get quality gear that'll last for many years. Love how versatile and well thought out this pack is and also great video. You explained all the features very well and got you a new subscriber today
The second net section in the 12 is better than on the 24. Beaware for some the 12/24 is painful and uncomfortable to wear but if you remove the back panel its fine. But it's hard to remove
Great review! Really helps my decision The only thing I dont really understand is why 5.11 didnt use the Swift Clip System like Mayflower, Crye, Spiritus etc. So you could use chest-rig configs aswell as the 5.11 add-ons. That would have been great by them. Anyway, great Video!
Thank you sir! This has to be one of the simplest/sharpest bags I’ve ever seen. When I was out my local range they had them in stock but wasn’t about to pay that price. I current have a small range bag, looking to more then likely upgrade. Just trying to figure what add-ons to get. I love the look of that honey comb on the outside so def. don’t want to cover that up.
What did you have done to that Elzetta flashlight looks like a different tailcap was on it you should do a video on that puppy they are the best flashlights in the world
That's the "Utility Gear Set", not the "Admin Gear Set". The Admin gear set has a LOT more organization and is way more low profile than that huge pouch you slapped on there. Lol.

Great video. The best, most informative I've seen yet! Do you think 2 admin sets would fit inside if you kept one all the way down and maybe didn't use the hanging clips on the top?
Velcro is crap it wears out with repeated use! I prefer one load out for every occasion But, I will be honest and say I do like the HEX MOLLE on the front.
One of the other comments said the gear set shown was the utility gear set, not the admin. If your looking for the one shown try searching for utility gear set. I was able to find that
Finally! A youtube video where a man may watch another man talk about his love for his bag for 10 minutes. And I loved watching it. :)

That is the 9x9 gear set but he is using it for more as an admin gear set. The admin gear set is different.

The 12 does not have those pockets you speak about he did forget the quad zip

This is the greatest carry on, hiking, gym bag. 👌
Enjoyed watching the video. I have been debating between the 12 & 24, based on your review the 12 is spacious enough for my needs.
Thank you for the review on the 9x9 utility gear set. I’ve been looking for a review for EVER. Great video

Very nice. Will be picking one up for sure now. Video was just what I needed to make up my mind.
Thanks for your review! Was interested in urban carry variation
Thanks for actually putting useful info in your review!

Great review! Really helps my decision

I have the AMP10 The helmet gear set works great for stuffing a coat or bottle, or both. The 10 can be a backpack or a sling bag, I love options!

THANK YOU SO MUCH. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HELPFUL THIS WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Very good review! By the way i would like to know what flashlight you have there? I have seen this before but can't remember it. Thanks 🙏
excellent review, I actually ordered this pack last week. Makes me even more excited to get it now.
The patches attached to the front of the bag are really beautiful, do you have a link to where you bought it?
This admin geartet looks pretty different to the one I could order. I like urs more. What is it called?
HikerJ here's what I highly recommend adding 2 your 5.11 AMP 12!
1 pack of Vanquest Tough-Built Gear Prepper's Color-Coding Kit: 1 RED = First Aid, 1 ORANGE = Firestarters & Body Warmth, 1 YELLOW = Comms & Navigation, 1 GREEN = Food, 1 BLUE = Water, 1 PURPLE = Clothes & Personal, 1 COYOTE = Shelter, 1 WHITE = Hygiene, 1 GRAY = Cookware, 1 BLACK = Tools & Tactical
Fantastic review, wish more people did reviews like this!
5.11 makes some good shit man. Gonna get myself a booney hat can’t wait
Great pack and review!👍🏼
What did you have done to that Elzetta flashlight looks like a different tailcap was on it you should do a video on that puppy they are the best flashlights in the world
Just ordered the AMP72
2yrs on still love it & it looks good as new.
Does it stand up on its own when placed down?
Bro this helped me ALOT
Hey, how tight can you cinch the main bag with a gear set on the back?
isn't that first pouch called the utility-gear-set? the admin set is much smaller...
Does that admin pouch on the inside take up a heap of room?
That's the "Utility Gear Set", not the "Admin Gear Set". The Admin gear set has a LOT more organization and is way more low profile than that huge pouch you slapped on there. Lol.
Kyle White came here to say this
Cant believe he got that so wrong. The Admin kit and Utility kit are very different.
@@SgtThump yeah is way wrong and you do not have to remove the hex grid
can't seem to find the pen/flashlight/knife attachment on the 5.11 website, is there a specific name to the product?
Can you put a 10x12 Armor plate inside?
How durable do you think it will be
Yes absolutely, beautiful speechless
Deos the admin pouch come with it or buy separately?
where did you get your hex patches
Nice video
What's the comfort level when carrying this pack loaded?
It looks better than the rush 12
Need to do one for the ampc 16L pleeease
That’s the utility 9x9 not the Admin?
yup, but i think could be usd as an admin
Please do a more in depth review of your admin gear set!
That's the "Utility Gear Set", not the "Admin Gear Set". The Admin gear set has a LOT more organization and is way more low profile than that huge pouch he slapped on there. Lol.
Why do we call the very back of a backpack "the front"?
Which hydration bag are you using? I can’t find a good one, everyone i see has poor reviews.
USWE are very good
Great video. The best, most informative I've seen yet! Do you think 2 admin sets would fit inside if you kept one all the way down and maybe didn't use the hanging clips on the top?
Isn't that the utility gear set, not the admin gear kit? Anyway thanks for the video
Yeah that is indeed the utility 9x9 gear set, not the admin
Anybody know if the 16L version's shoulder strap are as same as shown here?
Velcro is crap it wears out with repeated use! I prefer one load out for every occasion But, I will be honest and say I do like the HEX MOLLE on the front.
That pocket pulls out
But I do not
Can't find the admin pouch in sweden, is it an all new product?
It's fairly new and it's not actually the admin gear set. It's the utility 9x9 gear set.
Ronny Lundell The one he shows is actually the Utility Gear Set, not the Admin Gear Set. It's limited outside the US at the moment.
Anyone actually find the med kit?
Hello ! I cant find the admin pouch... can anybody send me the link please
One of the other comments said the gear set shown was the utility gear set, not the admin. If your looking for the one shown try searching for utility gear set. I was able to find that
@@jamojones8217 thanks really appreciate it
You can put weed in there.
If the gun is in a backpack is not concealed carry it is a it is a stupidity
Its really sad to hear that you keep calling the 9x9 utility gear set an admin gearset. Get your facts right.
