How many of us grew up in our dads or our Uncles shops? Those were good days 😊 And how many viewers are going to freak out about that little boy riding under the lift 😂
Thank you guys for fixing my truck. I love you guys and appreciate you both so very much. I love how relaxed your getting with what your doing. Great video and always love seeing family "merlon" stop by to say hello.
Very cool hanging with your dad, get all the time you can . I'm just saying that because life is unpredictable at times. It snuck up on me. PEACE TO ALL
It's always warms my heart when i see you work with your dad. My dad passed when i was 3 (he was only 37 i am 69 now) i always wonder what we could have done together. I have 2 sons and i made sure we did everything together. (we still do). thanks for everything you do!
Hey Sean. I'm probably close to the age of your dad, I'm 58. I cut my teeth when I was maybe 9 or 10 on Makita tools and I have been a fan ever since. One of my friends is a plumber and he told me the Milwaukee tools he buys form Milwaukee are way more heavy duty than the ones you get at the box stores. Way more expensive too! My trade was in the masonry business starting with my dad when I was maybe 5 just to go to work with him and play in the sand pile with my "Steel" Tonka Trucks. My brother-in-law was a mechanic, and I really got me into wrenching and all sorts of fab work. He had a 70 Chevelle with the 450 horse 454 and Munsey Rock Crusher 4 speed. He did all sorts of things to that engine, and it ran 10s and 11s. I found an early Torino Cobra Jet car as my second car and been a Ford guy since. lol I had a blazer once and could not keep brakes on it and I may have gone through as many transmissions as Paul. That was my last GM. I'm glad to see you still on UA-cam, especially working with your dad. I was always with my dad working a lot of years and he was probably my best friend. Cherish him, life is short. Take care!
Watching your content and your boys messing around (and learning by attention & accident [both]) life's lessons) by getting hurt and seeing real productive skills All the things that result in responsible adult men who learn love sacrifice and kindness first hand, The occasional repermand administered with firm resolve, gentilness and pactience reminds me of 'HELPING" as a child. Fast foreward about 10 years and I was repairing farm equipment @ 18 on my uncles farm while he was in the hospital recovering from an accident. I really like the noise of the kids in the background it adds to the reality of a family amid the care a parent needs to demonstrate as a pattern for "adulting". You have made the rite choice in your life, Dad and kids!
This is the first time I have ever subscribed to any channel, usually just watch and go on. I watched when you were at Fab Rats and enjoy your channel. I am happy for you that you get to spend time with your family but envy you also. My dad died when I was five, he was 27, I will soon be 67. I always wonder how things would have been different if he had been around. Learned a lot the hard way. Not complaining others have had it harder than I did, but I encourage you to spend as much time with your Dad and family as you can. You guys keep up the good work!
It's those little jobs that keep you busy and word of mouth brings you more of them. I have a friend that does mechanic work at his place and that is what keeps him busy is those word-of-mouth jobs. I wish they would have left the dimmer switch on the floor!
Never a dull moment. Thanks. Love the boys riding there bikes around, (my) memories ! Looking forward to them helping to tie down, and load on the farm. Yes a hard BUT rewarding life, full of memories. Thanks AGAIN!
You and your dad work well together. He asks you for your idea and he gives his idea and then you take the best idea and do it. I can't tell you how much I like seeing that. I had a hard time working with my dad, he is a great man but he would try doing the cheapest way and half jacking it to just get by. Drove me crazy, I like doing it right the first time and know it's going to work.
Your dad, “the most important job in the shop,” as you were fixing your nephew’s bike. It’s moments like this that make the impression of a lifetime in the minds of the boys. One day, they will be outstanding men and good dads too.
Awesome job and video! My father told me, " If you're going to own a vehicle, you need to know how to work on it!" I learned a lot. Thank you and your Dad for sharing 😊 🙏
Gettin to hang out with your kids and your Dad is the important part Sean. Treasure the times together. May you continue to be abundantly blessed!! John here, photographing the beauty of the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee, y'all.
Great fix on that Jeep. Brakes and rotors...lookin good. Your cousin Merlin stoppin by. Ole Merlin is related to everyone..cept me. Would love to have a relative like Merlin. That man is amazing. There's nothing he can't fix. Actually...that's the way you and your Dad are to. Ain't no job hard enough. That's why we're likin your videos Sean.
It's good to see kids riding bicycles kids need to be outside playing like me and your father and you did when we were kids hell we weren't even allowed in the house till it got dark . That's the engine all Jeep's should have you guys are doing a great job 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🤘🤘
C clamp and old brake pad is definitely still the way to go. You don't have to worry about messaging up the piston (some are ceramic nowadays) or the seal because you can take your time squishing them back in.😁
Good vids, I enjoy the content.....did not realize the hay ground up there is at 6,600 ft !! That's gotta be hard to consistently get 3 cuttings of alfalfa, but I'll bet it's super quality !!! Keep up ur direction, I think ur right on !!! Perfect life for those boys !!! AND. you
You and your dad need a project, and a great one would be his daily driver, that thing is a sweet old ford and would be killer with a nice suspension and anything else it might need. That truck is already cool, but it could be bad A with a little work. I think working on something like that would bring you in some new subs. I'd like to see you get over 100k. Nice job on that exhaust, sounds great.
Family stuff needing fixed is par for the course for a couple of fix-it guys. An exhaust on a cool looking 5.7 Liter Hemi Jeep is cool...and a surprise visit from Cousin Merlin driving one of his toys is gravy on the 'taters! And then growin' and haulin' some cow salad on the farmer/rancher side to finish things off. A little of this, a little of that, good stuff...nice video!
Hey Shawn, I got to know you a little while you were on. But I am really getting to know you now that you have your own channel. I thoroughly enjoy watching the dynamics between you and your father. When we were 12 and 14 we moved 13 handlines twice a day for a neighbor. We were lean and hard by fall. My kids followed me for years then took over when my last daughter left and i became a hydrotubular technician again as an old guy. Sean the metallic pad will wear down a rotor just by having the pad hanging up and running on the rotor consistently. I have done many brake jobs over the years for friends and for a job for a few years . I personally am not hard on brakes, about once a year I check my brakes and make sure the rotor doesn't seize on the axle hub and the sliders move , can usually get 150 thousand miles easy on a set of brakes. Another fine video boys🙏 I told Paul when it comes to bending tailpipe use a coat hanger and make a pattern, your first bend will be the hump over the axle ,your second bend will be to the muffler.
8:41 That's the way my dad did it for 50 years. My Master Force reciprocating saw would have batteries pop off. Finally just went and bought another one.
I bought a bag of rubber bands at Staples and use them. #63 is the size. Amazon has them too. 3" x 1/4" measurement. They last for years in the bag and months out of the bag.
Shaun; (or grandpa) needs to look up PARK TOOL; (they are a manufacturer of bicycle maintenance tools & stands; i.e. a "bike stand; your choice, as they have several models & styles"; this would get the bike up off the floor & you could work on the bike & position it. The stand has a clamp you use to secure the bike in a given position. This company got it's start here in St. Paul, MN. back in the 1970's in the Saint Paul neighborhood called "Hazel Park". Park tool grew out of their first facility & moved out to a burb of St. Paul called Matomedi; they sell tools on a global scale today.
I know you focus on content but subscribers follow characters as much as content. Your dad and you are characters worth following.
Thanks

happy kids, happy Dad, family drop-in, happy customer, ending with the sunset .... what a day! great video!
Yes! Thank you!

Yep 👍🏽
How many of us grew up in our dads or our Uncles shops? Those were good days 😊
And how many viewers are going to freak out about that little boy riding under the lift 😂
That’s exactly what I thought too.
Most important job in shop is fixing a kids bike! Love it as it shows quality of the men working. Great to see Merlin driving one of his toys.
Thank you guys for fixing my truck. I love you guys and appreciate you both so very much. I love how relaxed your getting with what your doing. Great video and always love seeing family "merlon" stop by to say hello.
You’re welcome anytime hopefully we’ll be putting a sign up shortly for the new storage business for you!!
@89Built im excited for that
❤
Very cool hanging with your dad, get all the time you can . I'm just saying that because life is unpredictable at times. It snuck up on me.
PEACE TO ALL
Every town needs a couple of good guys to fix stuff.
Well Done Gentleman 👏😊
Sean it's great your so family focused that's what America needs to see, especially a real down to earth family sticking together love it.
I appreciate that
Great Day when Merlin graces
Your Show
COOOOLLL
It's always warms my heart when i see you work with your dad. My dad passed when i was 3 (he was only 37 i am 69 now) i always wonder what we could have done together. I have 2 sons and i made sure we did everything together. (we still do). thanks for everything you do!
It's crazy how much your dad and Merlin favor I Kno I'm not the only one that sees that
I said that on a previous video.

I love my Ryobi tools. Never have that issue, and they always work, and they are a lot cheaper... but I'm sure people will hate on them.
Heck yeah! Every kid needs a Dad who's an expert bike repair pro!! Nice job on the Jeep exhaust too!
Thanks! 👍
Big pair of blue handled channel locks is what I've used to collapse the caliper piston ...faster than c-clamp
And it’s always fun seeing Merlin! Thanks for the video.
Cherish the time you have with your Dad. Mine has been gone since 2018; not a day goes by that I wish I could talk to him.

I lost my DAD almost 3 years ago and I miss him every day !!!! Enjoy the time you have with family it's very important !!!
I love the videos with you and your dad working together. That was cool Merlin showing up.
It was pretty sweet
Most people would want to see the penquin in the water - you farmers are so funny. 😄
Boys are always happy when wheels are going round moving. Great to see Dad wrenching on bike with boys watching .
Y’all make my day! I know it’s just brakes and exhaust but I enjoy watching you guys puzzling through. Thanks
Glad to hear it!
Kids making obnoxious noise is OK. When they get quiet, trouble is cooking.
Great channel you’ve created here.Fascinating how many hats (and boots) you have to wear to keep the farm operating. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
It's those little jobs that keep you busy and word of mouth brings you more of them. I have a friend that does mechanic work at his place and that is what keeps him busy is those word-of-mouth jobs. I wish they would have left the dimmer switch on the floor!
💯the content is real. But Shane and Shaun’s character and family values is what will make this channel successful
I always open the bleeder valve. That way you don’t push all the rust and gunk back through the lines.
Never a dull moment. Thanks. Love the boys riding there bikes around, (my) memories ! Looking forward to them helping to tie down, and load on the farm. Yes a hard BUT rewarding life, full of memories. Thanks AGAIN!

I like your Dad's expression..of a used part..it's like what I call China freight..
Always enjoy your vids..
Glad you enjoyed

The mouse in the boot 😂😂😂 had me laughing so hard😂😂😂
Enjoyed Sean & his dad figure out the repairs and Merlin's visit!

I like to see how much you get done in a day. Whew, I'm exhausted watching you guys. 😅😅thanks for sharing, and stay safe.
Our pleasure!
Nice to end my Friday with a good vid. I always brake bleeder loose so it don't push fluid back up stream. It can make the abs screw up.
Hey Shawn,
I got to know you a little while you were on. But I am really getting to know you now that you have your own channel. I thoroughly enjoy watching the dynamics between you and your father. Wholesome men and a world that is currently so filled with uncertainty, watching your channel makes me feel grounded. Thank you.
Welcome back! Thanks Darren
That’s the best way to push in the pistons on a brake caliper. That’s how I do it
Thanks for another fun video. Always good to see Merlin.
Hey Shawn Dad kids 👍❤️✌️💪🏻☮️OOOOOOYA HELLO 👋 MERLIN HAHAHA
Another great video, thanks, Sean and Dad.
Enjoyed hanging out with you guys, all the way from here😅. See you next time😎
Next time!
Y'all are awesome, I love watching you all! Great video Sean!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thankyou for the context. I no longer have my Dad. So this is kind of a good replacement.
great as always great content very entertaining good job
Try using a soldering gun to enhance the clip mechanism on the battery's locking 'tab' to prevent it from sliding out. Love the channel. Your heart is in the right place; family and kids are the priority. Job well done.
Spent a fair amount of my youth 6-19 as a hydrotubular technician. Fancy words for pipe mover. Started at 6 balancing the end of the hand pipe for my 8 year old brother. When we were 12 and 14 we moved 13 handlines twice a day for a neighbor. We were lean and hard by fall. My kids followed me for years then took over when my last daughter left and i became a hydrotubular technician again as an old guy. My favorite part is the number of sunrises and sunsets i see out changing water. You are living the good life! Shaun and Shane
Great Content and Video
And People say Farmers
Are Shade Tree Mechanics
I believe that your skills are
Pretty Good, Great having a
Lift
Thanx for sharing your experience
Have a Great Day 👍
God Bless You and your Family's
"Probably a little long". You'd be tripping pedestrians with it. It's like Death Race 2000.😂
A mouse in your boot or a mouse in a sprinkler bird. Both are things I don’t miss.
Sooner or later the kids will be taking over! Ur dad excellent work and Sean great job!
Sean, on the Milwaukee battery issue, the newer generation of them have a replaceable battery mounting plate that has isolators, so it absorbs the impact from the guns rattling, rather than the battery retention clips. For the ones that don’t have isolators, cause I can’t afford to replace all my guns when they have an issue, I have found some rubber retention straps, like you might use to hold an extension cord together or something. I’ve got a bunch in my service truck, I’ll bring you a couple
Perfect thanks buddy there’s times I use half a roll of electric tape just to cut it off every time the battery dies
Those boys racing makes me miss home.
Aloha from Maui just got home from work ,thank you for the great content you and your dad put out you guys are awesome, have a nice weekend
Thanks we could use some warm weather from Maui!!
I'm liking the longer video. 👍
What you have for compressing the caliper is better than the compression tools on the market.😂
It's cool seeing Merlin stop by.
Those drilled rotors added 50HP for sure lol. Great Vid y’all. Keep em comin Shawn. Still miss you @Fabrats tho
I used to use CClamps til I discovered my large channel lock pliers were much easier and faster...
I realized it wasnt your Aunts jeep. Opps. Like your show.
Awesome content from awesome people. From
Kiwi land
Awesome video, love watching ' 89 Built'.

There are some metric nuts & bolts that will fit SAE sockets & wrenches. 12 MM is the equal to 1/2 inch, 10 MM is 7/16
Sounds awesome guys. Done right.
So glad to see your carving your own corner of you tube out.
Thanks
8:41 That's the way my dad did it for 50 years. My Master Force reciprocating saw would have batteries pop off. Finally just went and bought another one.
Love the show your doing great, even got to see Merlin !!
I wish i could afford a pipe bender like yous have. They are awesome to have around
I always drill a small hole I the low spot in my muffler so it doesn’t rot out from the inside.
Love to see you taking care of family and living life. Congratulations
I have the tool to depress the calipers. Its kinda like a modified caulk gun.
I bought a bag of rubber bands at Staples and use them. #63 is the size. Amazon has them too. 3" x 1/4" measurement. They last for years in the bag and months out of the bag.

Makita the best hands down they built America. I still use my 1984 9.6v screw gun.
