89 Built
United States
Приєднався 28 лип 2024
My name is Sean Frost. I grew up in Southern Utah in a small town along Highway 89. I grew up building and fabricating with my dad and brother so I have always had a passion for fixing and building projects/vehicles. We still enjoy off-roading and jeeping with family and friends. As a youth I worked for local ranchers mostly changing water and stacking hay and there I developed my love for agriculture. Now with my wife and family we are multi-generation ranchers/farmers. We raise alfalfa hay and help run a cow calf operation up and down highway 89. Now that you know a little history about us thanks for being a part of our journey as we build cool things, fix what we break, and build what we need.

if this your first system . i cant wait to see what your dad comes up with.😊
I'm not buckin' those bales.
i like talk about pulling i work pulls up here in Michigan
Great driving SJ
When you build your own track filler, I’d suggest putting a wheel on the front that would hold it centered and close the back up with a small amount of opening to hill up and like you said a packer wheel on the back.
For your pivot tracks maybe you could make a guide wheel to fit down in the track and guide and help center the blades so the tractor steering isn't totally controlling the direction. The depth would have to be independent of the steering wheel. Good or bad, it's an idea anyway.
Would it be easier to make one for the front of your tractor? That way you can watch it as you drive and then on the back you could have a packer
A couple of small rippers on each side to loosen the dirt before it gets pulled in .
Put a wheel in front of it . Set the wheel in grove . Hopefully the wheel will follow the grove.
That's awesome got you a great helper there
That pivot is something we don't have to contend with. We get somuch rain we don't have to irrigate much
Sj is cool little boy.
Thanks for the video really enjoy seeing you working with boys. 😊
Our pleasure!
Shaun, Outstanding Content Thanx for sharing this farming and Your daily work, Your Children are very impressive Have a Great Day God Bless You and your Family and Team
Thanks 👍
A funneled scraper blade would probably work better. Especially with a back plate so it holds extra material in until a low spot.
If you were to build a similar unit could you add a small guide wheel to follow in the track , unpin the sway bar link and it should follow the track pretty good, or a pull behind cart with this depth wheels would give you the ability to raise and lower. Also it looks like you may need some more weight. A bracket to add some front end weights would give you the ability to fine tune the right amount of down force. As a child of 5yo. it was my job to drive our Massey 35 while my Dad and older brother would load baskets of tomatoes. This was not a high speed job, it was below walking speed. I still remember the good times on the farm. When I retired I gave up my CDL I didn't want drive truck so If any one asked I would tell them that I don't have a licence any more. Worked good for a year till my brother found out that you did not need a CDL for a farm truck only the Z endorsment (air brake) so once a month I take a load of hogs to market. Always good content.
You got the old 6 in a row. OOOOOO ready to tow!!
For filling in the tracks might it be better front mounted with maybe a trailing guide to keep it in the track and do a faster and better job Sean?
Those are the best training times and some great memories! I remember the early morning hey hauling and wood cutting outings with my dad! Thanks for sharing your time with your kids.
You got that right!
Hey bud, if you make your own you could maybe make it longer and mount a wheel at the front to guide it perfectly in the ditch as long as you figured a way that the wheel didn't hold it up too high and stop it from cutting the dirt.
What is the blues riff y'all using in your edit here? Love the vids
Sean, I was born on our ranch. I learned to drive our old International when I was about SJ's age. It was a great time I had with my Dad will never forget it. Hes been gone a long time now but i still remember our good times. Thanks for teaching your boys whats important. As always my very best to your family.
GOOD JOB!
Watching your young Son help his Dad gives me some hope for the future of our Farmers and our country. Thanks for giving us some of that hope!
I hate it when the cows get out.....🙄✌

I’m pretty sure you and your dad with both of yours ingenuity will build pivot track filler, enjoy your kids they grow up so fast now a days, have a nice weekend
Thanks we will
Keep up the good work!!!
Thanks! Will do!
what happened? audio is not synced off & on throughout the video.
Rookie mistakes I’ve about got it figured out
We used what is called wheel track filler, it did the same and then filled with sand. I work in the enterprise Utah area and farm still uses one and it worked great and again every spring or fall used it. It was awesome and helped the pivots great it sucked when tracks got deep. We did potatoes and it really was fun we had to dig out the pivot all the time in certain areas
Heck ya you guys have some real farms over in that country!
What’s the knee like that they may be closed up more in the back to where it might gather some dirt and help Pull and fill
Enjoying the content and congrats on the new channel for us Non-farmers could you tell us what pivots are and how they work? Thanks!
Great video thanks
Looks like good times!! Hard work and family !! 😎👍🏻
You got that right!
My kinda people... id love for you folks to be my neighbour! Cheers from Canada.... Awesome win BTW, we all need him. :)
Another great video Shawn, thanks for sharing
You bet
It's a Case IH Very important 😊
And more wait
like your farming vidios
Really enjoying the new channel. Its growing quite quickly and its well deserved. Well done.
Awesome, thank you!
❤😂🎉😅😊
Love love love your channel❤❤❤
Hope you figure out your audio woes. Also I see you have it back to 30FPS instead of 24. Depends on what your raw footage is from your gopro, but if its 60 and you encode your edited video to 30. Might as well have it at 60. If you record at 30 then don't change it. 30FPS you can probably record longer before you fill up the SD card.
Ok thanks!
If you can afford it, I would put a tailgate/ramp on the back of the trailer that can be used to enclose a load on the trailer.
You should tell your son how proud you are of him. My father never told me.
When you build your own track filler, design it to move side-to-side and put a guide wheel ahead of the blades to keep the blades centered on the track.
I LOVE this! I liked watching you on FabRats working i his shop, but now even better to watch you being an all-American small farmer living a good rural wholesome life.
Thanks for watching!
Maybe if you installed wide dragster type slick tires on the irrigator, it wouldn't create the ruts in the first place.
