When insulating soaps with high tops, I simply put the loaf (in the mold) into the oven with just the light turned on for a couple hours, than, I turn the light off and let the soap cool off completely, usually 18 to 24 hours.

My toy suggestion is wooden blocks for building. My son had some Jenga games that he used to build things with. He would make towers as tall as he was. He never tired of them because they could be anything he wanted them to be. sometimes they were roads, sometimes houses or bridges.

So beautiful!!! I know I'm a little late for Christmas but some ideas for little ones are sensory bottles, they last forever and you can be very creative with them. Another idea for a older child could be a craft chest filled with all kinds of this to spark their creativity!!! Thank you for the amazing video!!! Have a wonderful day!!

I've crocheted game boards and game pieces for my kids. they are about the size of a large rug and I put a drawstring around the blanket so when they are done playing they can draw it all up into a bag. I did checkers for my first attempt. I'm hoping to make them a large monopoly game

You are welcome. I'm sure you will find a recipe you'll like, that works for you...I found a really nice recipe a few days ago, simple ingredients coconut milk, and olive oil. I just did a youtube search (from home) typed in coconut milk and olive oil soap recipe. I got a few, but one in particular was a nice size, 24.4 ounces of olive oil, which makes a perfect loaf of soap, I like it because it called for frozen coconut milk, and slowly adding tge lye to the frozen cubes of the milk did not create much odour. I did that part over a sink with a safe plastic large lid filled with cold water and ice to keep the lye/c. milk mixture from overheating and burning. when it was all mixed and melted, with Safety Gear On whole time;I took reading and it was about 88 degrees F. and slowly added it to my oil.
I decided to substitute just a little of the olive oil for a couple of ounces virgin olive oil. Slowly it gradually melted, which was perfect for me. I divided my mixture into 3, so needed 2 other measuring cups. I kept the one in bigger container the light colour it was. I put a little coloidal oatmeal in it, 1 tblsp. and a tablespoon of some organic freeze dried, powdered fruit of a reddish colour. one I kept light and added just 4 drops of same fruit and vanilla scent. The third one I put some baking chips 1 oz.that I melted a bit in part of the oil, just over hot water. You need to stir this 3 separate parts of the soap batters with a clean utensil. (Watch all the 4 basic information videos of soaping 101, soap queen, etc. till you srecomfotable and use avery small simple recipe the first couple of times.)
I got some pretty designs on this last batch, and its just my fourth time doing cold process. And, Im happy that is got some wholesome ingredients in there that are good for my skin!

There is a plastic stacking toy made with star shapes to look like a Christmas tree. It has subdued soft colors and plays classical music with rhythmic lights blinking slowly in time to the music. All 3 children loved it when they were the right age for stacking and they still are attached to it, For the three year old -- most of them are really helpers at that age. They want to do whatever you do. This urge and desire to help and please blossoms full grown at three and disappears entirely at adolescent when they could truly be a help. Since you have the tiny one and still have to be alert to choking hazards dishes, teapots and pots and pans are great.

My daughter is 11 .. Santa mostly brought items to make things... she was massively confused when she unwrapped flour and olive oil lol.. once she opened the essential oil kit she figured out what was going on. She had everything she needed to make slime, salt dough(that can be hardened by drying or drying in the oven), play dough, bath bombs, bath salts, paper machete, ect. Whatever her imagination can imagine.. although I do hint at times playing a little devil's advocate. She also got a reem of printer paper, sketch book, drawing pencils, colored pencils, oil pastels, and sharpies as she likes to watch art hub for kids and draw along with. She made bathbombs for all her friends packaged them in saran wrap from my kitchen and put on labels she made from printer paper and her art supplies. Because she wanted to put all the ingredients on them in case anyone was allergic to anything she put in them. Kids didn't really appreciate it, but several of the parents were highly impressed. And honestly it's the most she's used Christmas presents since I got her a proper doll house at 3. She also has a feeling of ownership over those items so it's her choice what she does to them.. she doesn't have to ask if she can borrow some flour from the kitchen for non food project. As I am trying to let her be more independent and build confidence (yet in a safe environment) so I let her fail and experiment if she gets frustrated or asks I pipe in to help or give a nudge in the right direction.

Ariane - you are so gorgeous, joyful and passionate about your beautiful soaps! I only "met you" on UA-cam today but I'm so glad! I hope to start making soaps as gift this year - because recently I read... "only 1% (of gifts) remain in use six months after sale. I bought my mom a christmas scented soap - she loved it so much she used it so sparingly and let it fragrance her bathroom! It's half way through Jan (6 weeks later) and it's still going strong! I hope to find a good supplier in South Africa (where I live) for pour and melt soap... as I don't feel up to working with lye just yet. Thank you for sharing this beautful craft on youtube
