Ariane, please forgive me if I embarrass you, as I would never mean to do that. I just want to tell you, as a sister Canadian, (I am from northern Alberta) that YOU are the best soap maker on the internet. I have learned so very much more about soap making from you than anyone else. You are honest and humble about your God given skills, even when you are nervous about new things, you are strong in your determination, drawing on your experience and knowledge. Your English is very good and your French accent is loved by all your subscribers! We enjoy learning from you. Your advice is ‘spot on’! I am sure I speak for many, many viewers and I would just like to thank you for taking the time you do, to make, edit, plan and post all the informative videos for your audience. You never seem to get nervous and loose your train of thought (like we would). You’re a natural! God Bless you for being You, and sharing what you know, so that the wonderful old art of soap making endures through the years!😘
Ariane, your last statement is the most powerful of all. Be Patient! Making a batch of soap can be quick but that is only the beginning of a longer process of cleaning up, curing, making labels, getting shrink wrap- - -and more. You are very organized and I admire this about you. Children, partner, business, school, music - -you are one busy lady ! Thank you for taking the time to also make these video's !
Thank you. :-)
Ariane Arsenault aa
I’m so glad I found you! You give such great tips and are so organized
What is the recipe of this soap please?
@@ArianeArsenault whays the recipie of this soap?
Oh I love watching this. I just started my soap making and need ideas on wrapping. Great ideas.
Watching you from the Virgin Islands YOU ARE MY FAAAVOURITE SOAPER
I like your idea of putting your personal photos on your labels. Your soaps and labels look very nice.
Wonderful label idea...you clearly have an artistic eye and a story-teller's ear. Congratulations; patience indeed.
Hi Ariane, I realize it has been 2 years since your video post but I buy shrink bands from Candora Soap Supplies in Ontario. If they don't sell the size you need perhaps they can order them for you. They are very helpful and lovely to deal with, always so kind and helpful, very fast service also. I purchase all my soaping supplies from Candora.
Love your videos.
Much thanks

I just ordered the same exact beveler from etsy after watching this video! Thank you very much for the video! I'm not quite ready to sell my soaps yet, I need to get my small business license and a business name. I'm now testing the fragrances and perfecting my recipes. I have 1 honey/beeswax recipe so far where I use my own honey/beeswax from my beehives. I have shrink wraps on the way from Amazon, shipping was cheaper. I will be selling raw organic honey along with the soaps. Most likely I will sell locally here, at least when I start out. :)
Great tip at the end about waiting since the soap shrinks
I love it at the end, you said Yep, you gotta be patient...not easy lol Ty for sharing. :)
It's a round over tool. Its used in woodworking to round over the edge of planed timber :)
I think that little tool works better than the wood one! Cool!
Very nice work!I love how you put a pic of your dad and boyfriend on your dad's boat on the label ,that's neat !God bless!
You are the best. So thorough and informative. Glad I found your channel!
This was the first video of yours I saw when I was looking for some packaging help on UA-cam ❣️❣️since then I started.following your every video
Super technique, comme toujours :) Merci Ariane !
Hi Ariane, it is been pleasure watching your video as I am a beginner and quick learner and cannot wait to make my first batch regards Judy
Nice. I like watching other people work. Thank you for sharing!
you're such a soap genius ariane. tnx for sharing
Loving your video keep up the good work may God keep blessing you and family.
Hi mam,
We are from India,
We are also soap manufacturers at hyd,
Nice to see you.
Very beautiful and delicate!! Love the personalized idea. Thank you for sharing .
Thanks for sharing your knowhows in soupmaking, very inspiring!
Love your videos! They are very educational and helpful informations. Thank you for taking time to make all the videos and sharing them!
Ariane, check out Uline, they have all sorts of packaging stuff - cello wrap, etc. Also in Vancouver there's Essential Packaging which do wholesale and custom stuff as well. And forget tape, get yourself a Glue Dots dispenser you'll seriously thank me for that.
Your hand tool is called a soap edger. I love those things!
Or the soap beveler!!
have you tried putting your label around the soap first and then put on your shrink wrap bank? If they fit, it may save you the time in taping the label... Just a thought, I am sure you have already tried it though. Love your videos!!!!! you are always uplifting to watch.
I realy enjoyed how you told us step by step how you use your Technic
There must be some jealous people out there to dislike her postings !
Snakes outta there be jelly on her tons of soaps xD
Bonjour Ariane,
As for shrink bands, you could try Saffire Blue, they are located in Ontario and have great prices, really reasonable.
I love watching your videos excellent presentation always keep up the good work thanks
An implement almost exactly the same I used in cooking for taking the long zest pieces from citrus, cucumber to zest the outside for candying and carrots and zucchini and cucumbers just for an interesting look
Thanks for sharing your tips. You're thorough and generous with your information. I'm a beginner and love to learn!
Keep it up, it's so informative. :)

Can you do a video about what you do with your soap scraps?
Thank you!
wtf
What do you mean, "WTF"? Clearly you know NOTHING about soaping, as anyone who does knows that there are uses for soap scraps. Ignorance is not a good look on you.
She said she remelts it to French milled Soap? And uses it for her family or gives it to friends
You can also use a vegetable peeler.
Awesome video!
Hi Ariane! I would like to thank you for all your great videos! Always watch them as inspiration, relax and challenge! (Even during the lunch hours at my work in the office :)). I would like to ask you what is the size of your soaps? I try to find an ideal size and adjust the molds. Bars at these video seem to fit hand perfectly. Thank you!
My soaps weigh between 120 to 140 grams each. I guess this would be around 4-5 oz.
Hopefully you make a video of how you make your French Milled Soap someday.
I just started. Soaping. Last week. I hope i get better. At doing it.
I made my first batch this week (4/2/18).
sO FAR i LIKE YOUR SOAP CHANNEL THE BEST :)
A good way to Packaging
Even soap drought continues
thank you Ariane for the helpful video!!!! :)
Hii Ariane, have been watching your vdos. And I love the way you explain each and every detail. I want to know how to use soap shavings that we get after trimming the edges
Such a great idea for labels ❤️
I was wondering how well handmade soap sells, how much it sells for, and what types sell better?
WELL INVEST AND TRY IS ALL I CAN SAY!
Thank you for your wisdom and advice!
Beautiful soap,and labels...
very nice I'm just getting into making soap I love it !
I love your videos! Do you know you have a strong resemblance to a young Ally Sheedy, the actress
She does, lol
Nice and beautiful looking bars in nice wrap. I would like to challenge you to visit in South East Asia and go any public beach or shore line to see if you are able to find any spot without huge amount of plastic. In developed countries same plastic is found from a dump, but is it better?
What most people doest known, this same plastic is flowing in different layers, also below sea level along ocean current, and later when the plastic decompose different chemicals little by little, fishes are fooled to believe that those small plastic pellets are plankton, so fishes are eating plastic, but who are eating fish?
I hope anybody can share a link to a cost efficient and environment friendly way to wrap any products, specially in a products in (personal) hygiene category.
Hi dear.. i have a doubt.. i heard that.. the soap using NAOH is chemical free after 30-45days.. is it true?
If we use before that, is there any problem?
Love your labels.
Your labels are so pretty. I love the boats and pics of family, makes it so personal. I would have never thought of doing that. Are all your soaps basically the same size or do you have to customize all your labels. I really want to make a label that is more personal like that. Gave me some ideas. Your videos are always a pleasure.
do you find bramble berry is really expensive on the shipping, I'm in London ontario and I placed a 34.00 order and shipping was 65.00, so I didn't continue to finish my order
alicia kerr that was probably for the better lol
I know places like that usually charge less for shipping the more you order
I've heard Candora Soap Supplies in Ontario are reputable, you might head there.
There was a $50 shipping fee when I tried to purchase the safety glasses.... Totally not worth it...
Bramble berry is a rip off
Bonjour, vous avez un très bel accent et vos savons sont très beaux! :)
What dimensions are these soaps? I love the size.
Nice labels!
Personally, if I were buying your soap, I would like the sharp edges. It is satisfying to wash with a soap and be the one to smooth it out. I feel sorry you are wasting time smoothing your soap for people like me. PLUS, the buyer gets more soap when it's not shaved! ~JAG
Can you please tell me the dimensions of your soap? Love the size
I know, this is an older video, but even if the bars were sent sent out to me f.e., I would prefer them with a band only and plastic free, just as the ones you have in your shop. :)
LanaGoesArt packaging soap is always a challenge. Some customers prefer cigar bands while others will be grossed out if there isn’t a full wrapping protecting the whole bar! 🤷♀️
@@ArianeArsenault I understand the dilemma you are in. It's a wonderful job you're doing. I just wanted to mention, that it's so wonderful to see soaps with the cigar bands only and without the full plastic wrap. :)
SO, my 8-year-old daughter and I have been watching a lot of your videos and she wants us to try making some soaps and I was wondering after watching to tour of your shop, is there a market for homemade natural soaps? What do you typically charge per bar of soap? Thank you very much and we have really enjoyed your videos.
Très beau! J'aime beaucoup des vidéos!
Very nice and well done videos.
Thank you for a great video. Very good information. Thaks for sharing.
Ariane - great video as always! Do you ever have issues with your labels getting oil spots or bleed through from the soap? If not, what kind of material are you getting your labels printed on? We're trying to figure out how-best to print labels for the soap we're making for our wedding, and your videos have been a tremendous help! Thanks in advance.
Huh there they are! Nice
Nicely done. I am curious about the use of Seawater/saltwater as your water ingredient. Could you please tell me more about the process of using this please. Thank you!
THANK YOU . GOD BLESSED YOU .
Thanks for sharing
Lovely soaps! I love the size of the bar! What dimensions are they cut to?
Good advice... thank you!
Please provide links for your tools.. Thank you for sharing! You are very beautiful!
can you make a video on how you make your labels and a link to who you have print them?
Ariane uses Photoshop and prints her own labels.
Hi Ariane, do you have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to wrap your cold process soaps? Thank you! Love your videos!
After cutting how long do you wait to shrink wrap your soap?
Hello! I love your videos they so educational and helpful. I understand you make your own labels would you be willing to share what software you use for creating them?? Thank you so much . 🙏🏼☺️
I know its called TRUE CHURCH KEY bottle or can opener I saw many bartender use them too
I like your labels! Is it possible to shrink wrap the soap after the label has been put on?
Yes you can, but I prefer to shrink wrap the soap, then add the label after. This way, if the soap looses water over a longer drying time, I can always put a new wrapper that fits.
Ariane Arsenault
Excellent!
Thank you!
Ariane, I love your videos! I just discovered them today and have already watched several.
You also share the same first name as my youngest sister :)
Hey ariane i start making my second set of soap but the first sets came out crystal like. Coconut soap it was
Ariane, i love watching your soap videos. You make soooo much soap though, where do you sell the most? online or in your shop?
Hi Ariane, do you find that after 2 months your soaps lose their fragrance? If not, how do you avoid this?
Love it!
Love your videos! Do you have any suggestions for male fragrances?
Hi There, Please tell the outer dimensions of your soap, they look like they fit nicely into your hand. Thank you, Teal
You should put the label under your shrink wrap
How do you get your soaps into stores? Very beautiful soap
Great video! I have a question for you! Where do you get your large molds and cutters that create those large bars. I have seen your other videos where you pour into those large rectangular tall molds on the floor and would love to source them!
In my "Making bigger batches..." video, I give the source for molds and cutters similar to mine.
WOW
what do you do with the scrap pieces of soap? You should do a give away. I'd love even a scrap piece lol
Thanks for sharing!!!! Your so sweet!! :)
Hello you do a awesome job
I'm from Canada to is there a place that I could get soap boxes I'm not sure we're to go I'm new at making soaps thank you
I cant find shrink wrap bands for the tall and skinny size bar. I know you make that size, can you please tell me where you get yours, thank you. Also, do you usually wait 5 days after cutting to clean and tidy them up?
Love this. Thank you for sharing. The tool I cannot find... :-( If you have a source please let me know. I don't see a link from you but I googled it and had no success.
id personally prefer the tool over the wooden one :)
I was just wondering if you sell the soap and if you do do you have a book that has all the different soaps in it and how much they are I would be interested cuz I've been trying to get into the shampoo conditioner and bars to save on plastic
Arent Coconut oils drying when used in high amounts ?
