  • Understanding and overcoming dissociation isn't easy. Dissociation is a topic in mental health that is still not fully understood. Very different from daydreaming, dissociation can be a common symptom of many mental health issues.     Have you experienced it 24/7? Did you recover?

      Yes. For me, no grounding techniques, therapy or journaling was helping. What helped was getting out of the situation that was causing traumatic stress and dissociation. But it took a very long time.

    So you’re saying that it’s best practise for someone to continue to associate themselves with a previous traumatic memory ?
