    I’m not a nail tech so I’m having some trouble with the white tip, also probably because I have very short nails. But I’m gonna get it! These dip powders are amazing and way better than any other I have tried! They don’t get all bumpy and messed up and last forever!!! Build the nail like they say - don’t forget it makes a big difference!

    Is dipping powder the same kind of powder as the kind you use for acrylics, like with monomer and stuff? Also when you say "base" the stuff you use to get the powder to stick to the finger.. What kind of base do you mean or is there only one kind? Like I have base for b4 you apply gel polish... That kind of base?

    • @KiaraSkyNails
      @KiaraSkyNails  7 років тому +1

      Hi Dean! Our dip powders do have a small percentage of acrylates, which is a main ingredient in acrylic powders, but they are not an actual acrylic powder that can be used with monomer. Our powders have added vitamins and calcium and are much finer than traditional acrylic. You also use a series of glazes rather than monomer for application. You still get the acrylic look and strength, but without the damage to the nail. In regards to the base, it is specially designed to be used with the dip powder so there is something for the powder to stick to. Unfortunately a gel base is different and wouldn't work for applying the powder. I hope this answers your questions. :)

    • @KiaraSkyNails

      Debbz23 - You can only use the UV light with dip powder if you also use gel polish. If you are just doing powder dip, you would not use the UV light!

    • @brittleighvick
      @brittleighvick 4 роки тому

      Lauren Rockwell Try buffing your natural nail a little more so it will bond better? I had that problem when I first started but when I tried again I used my nail drill to take off the shine before the bond (I was using a Emory board at first because I was scared of my nail drill lol) and haven’t had a problem since! Hope that works! Good luck!
