For the third story, that’s not even pranks. My grandpa pranks people a lot, and here are some of his favorites: slowly replacing photos in the house with something you’d never have a picture of (celebrities, funny photoshops), half folding sheets so when you stick your feet in bed at night you can’t fully extend your legs, and adding a single olive in foods that don’t go with olives. They brushed past that sleepwalking story way too easily; and most of the comments on the video and on reddit did too. There is no way that Greg wasn't 100% pre-meditating a murder from the second he moved in. I forget whether it was a youtube or reddit comment; but someone laid it out some great points:
Greg's screaming wasn't a side effect of sleepwalking, he was conditioning OP and any possible nearby neighbors into ignoring the sound of blood-curdling shrieks coming from their house. This meant the night Greg eventually killed OP, no one would think anything of it, while also slowly causing OP to become an even heavier sleeper so he could keep sneaking around doing god knows what during OP's sleep.
Then while yes people can do violent things in their sleep and complex things in their sleep, you're still asleep. It's mostly reflexes. Not to mention as the one reddit commentor points out, while complex actions can occur during the sleepwalk, the likelihood of repeatedly doing the exact same thing over and over doesn't, like their cooking story. Similar things can reoccur often, yes; but not the exact same every time. And certainly not if that thing is pulling out a polaroid, aiming it directly at your sleeping roommate, in his room that you've managed to walk into every time this happens, taking the photo correctly every time, presumably with proper zoom, pulling the image out, *dating it* without sloppy handwriting, then grabbing the tools you happen to have on you despite, y'know, sleepwalking, and opening up the vent in your roommate's room to gently place down the newest photo. All right next to your homemade weapon that you conveniently also sharpened while also sleepwalking. And presumably doing this exact set of actions without change or fail at least once a week or so. Yeah no, there is 0 logical explanation for this being sleepwalking.
Plus yeah, saying you're a sleepwalker when moving in with someone is important; but it's also a great cover. Also if Greg was really just embarrassed about sleepwalking again, no way in hell he'd pack up everything he owned within a night and bail, no note or anything. Greg probably thought he was found out and maybe even that OP was heading to a police station, so he panicked and bailed.

This makes sense, my cousin was also a sleepwalker XD but he will try to go down stairs and almost hurting himself while doing so. Hit walls front facing, and keep on walking along the walls, like he did stupid things because he was not aware, his body was walking but his senses were not. This sound too premeditated to be an actual sleepwalking case

I 100% agree like how is everyone not freaking the fuck out over this story!!!!That is not just sleepwalking. Just the fact that he would stop screaming when OP was coming to check on him is too convenient to me. It sounds like he was testing how long it took OP (or possibly even neighbors as well) to wake up/react to it so he knew how heavy of a sleeper OP was or if anyone would come knock on the door to ask what is going on. It’s also extremely rare to murder someone while sleepwalking and it’s not a premeditated thing like this was. And I’m pretty sure if he was sleepwalking, he wouldn’t react and freeze and turn around to look at OP when they turned on the light. That seems like he was fully conscious and just froze in shock because he got caught.
Between all that and the fact that OP had zero family or friends or any way to contact him and never heard from him again? Yeah 100% attempted murder. Because if in the one in a million chance this was somehow actually sleepwalking and Greg had no true intention of harming OP, there’s no way he would just leave like that after waking up and realizing what he was about to do. At the absolute least he would have left a note or written a letter or something to explain and say he left to make sure OP was safe and apologize profusely. Like literally just the fact he never heard from him again alone confirms to me it was not just “sleepwalking”.
OP seriously under reacted to every situation and got very lucky. I can’t believe he didn’t kick him out or sleep with 10 different locks on his door and security cameras everywhere since at least the night he caught him screaming in his room. Holy shit.

Yeah that story is absolutely insane, I'm a sleepwalker and there's no way that can logically happen during sleepwalking. Sleepwalking patterns are usually things you do daily, like sometimes I've tried folding laundry while sleepwalking. The most truly complex thing I've done while sleepwalking was moving an armchair out of the way of a door in my vacay room and unlocking said door to go outside. (just editing to say I was perfectly fine during that door situation, i didn't get far and wasn't injured at all)

There was actually an update for the first story. The OP confronted Bailey and it turns out she started looking up his ex out of curiosity, but over time it became more pathological and she became addicted to it. She said she wanted to "please him" but didn't know who she was so she latched onto his ex because she "had him first." She started treating finding out new info about his ex like a "game" and got incredibly excited whenever she did. She made fake social media accounts and eventually weaselled her way into his ex's life through mutual friends.
Both he and his wife are in therapy now and also do couples counselling. She deleted the folder in front of him and the mimicking is slowly beginning to stop.

My theory, based on the timeline of the newborn and behavior started--i think she's had some kind of illness similar to BPD, that was mild up UNTIL the pregnancy hormones messed with her mind. That plus it seems like the guy started to talk more about his ex recently. Not blaming him, but I think with enough time passed, and a baby on the way, he started to feel more comfortable talking about the good parts of his ex/his last relationship because he felt his life was moved on and safe. He didn't realize that this + hormones started wreaking havoc with whatever mental illness his wife had.

The kid truly needs a strong relationship with the single parent. She's an awesome mom that's capable of raising her kid under the circumstances while teaching important values at the same time. That is a great role model for any parent current or future to emulate. The whole tale sounds like the plot of a kidnapping in a crime show. Their intention sounded innocent at first, but the dark truth eventually gets revealed when there's resistance from the single mom.

I just have to remember what we say when we are reading stories from people who are clearly the bad guy in the story; they advocate for themselves so that they appear better in the story, so that we take their side.
In this story with the single mother and child, I worry she is advocating for herself very, very well. I worry that parts of the story are exagerated or completely made up, as we have witnessed in other reddit stories, when the other party have commented on it and explained how the OP has fabricated a story so as to live in a fantasy and get people to support them.
Why did her parents disown her? What is the child's quality of life with her not having enough money to give the son a good life? How often and how long is he left behind at waiting to be picked up by her after she works late? What did the son tell the other family about how it is to live with her, in confidence, when his mother was not around?
We don't know, of course, but it makes me wonder. Obviously, the other family cannot just kidneppap a child. Nobody is questioning that. But is that really what happened..? And even if it was, maybe there's at least _some_ context as to why they would take such overly extreme measures.

My reasoning for the second story-- the one about the woman in the shower, is probably the simplest explanation-- that he truly did just want to pull a "funny" prank and when she went to talk to him about it, he decides to feign ignorance for the gag. But then when he saw that it DEEPLY troubled her, her lost his opportunity to tell her the truth and thought that admitting it would get him into more trouble.
As for how he got upstairs so fast, when we're scared our heartrate goes a thousand miles a minute, which messes up our perception of time. So it's entirely possible that she was so caught up in the initial scare that she just spent more time in the bathroom than she thought-- giving him enough time to maneuver through those obstacles quietly and without issue.

The story starts with "I hadn't slept in over 24 hours" and every reason for why she believes it was a ghost comes from "i saw this". Odds are better she was just half asleep by the time she got to the shower so she closed the door behind her (its not special that they don't close the bathroom door during showers, unless they don't close it during shits and also leave every other door open both inside and out of the house muscle memory would tell her to close the door she just walked through) and got in, woke up in the middle of it, and instead of doubting what she thought was reality she came up with an explanation as to why things were actually different and not just her misremembering during a time of stress and fatigue

With the journal story. I was 17/18 when this happened I started working at dollar general it was about 6 months into working there this guy started coming in every day asking me out I would politely tell him no I have a boyfriend he wouldn’t stop. About a month after it started I come into work (I had a week off) one of my coworkers asked me if I knew him I said not outside of work she then told me that he was coming in every day asking for my schedule thank god she didn’t. One night I got a notification from messenger that I had a message request it was from him the text went like this “hi Angel if you really don’t want anything to do with me I’ll leave you alone I’ll give if you don’t text back I’ll know that’s my sign to leave you alone” obviously I didn’t he kept showing up to my work about 2 months he asked me if I saw the message I told him no I’m not messenger that much he told me to look he didn’t come back for another month I got another message from him it had been 3 months since he sent the first one the second message was “hi Angel please hear me out I’m being vulnerable and honest if I don’t get a message back I’ll leave you alone for good first I want to say I care about you more than you know (mind you I never talked to him outside of work ever) i know I already messed up by pushing you away and letting go too soon I’ll wait a couple weeks” I never texted him back. I again I had about a week off I come back the same coworker told me he has been camping outside the store (in his car) waiting for me, he stopped for awhile then he would be there when I would get out of work (my mom would pick me up I don’t drive) he would follow me home but kept enough distance to not be suspicious to other people but me (I didn’t tell anyone what was going on) after that day I went and told the manager and assistant manager turns out he was the assistant managers cousin she told me he knew what he was doing was wrong and she would help me. He got banned and I wasn’t at work at the time but when I went it they told me he got really mad like throwing things around punching stuff and I had to get a restraining order against him also he was like 30 something and had a 12 year old daughter I was 17/18. Scary ass shit.

The audacity of some of these grown ass men is insane 😅 it’s actually fairly common in the customer service industry that many women end up having a stalker. And it shouldn’t be that way but they’re tons of creepy men out there I hope you stay safe.(also i relate I’ve had one before I’m 19 now so I totally get how creepy and scary it can be when a grown man is infatuated with you.

As someone with BPD, That first story is very textbook BPD behavior. Feeling a viceral sense of inadequacy and insecurity so you start to change yourself into what you know your partner likes. Id been a similar way, not the stalking but slowly turning to my S/Os ex because I was worried he wouldnt actually like me and acting like someone before me felt safe

I was just thinking on this, i’m not justifying her stalking at all.
I noticed that OP did mention that he brings up his Ex whenever his wife said something that used to be in relation with OP.
It makes me wonder if OP brings up his ex often to where his wife feels insecure. I mean, think about it; OP already spilled what his ex did while him and his wife were just starting out? Maybe he’s over his ex, we don’t know these people personally nor live with them, but it just makes me wonder how often he brings up his ex?

I generally don't like pranks but a few years ago my wife and I pranked our roommate. We had a cat, Frosty, who was obsessed with our roommate. He would sit and stare at them for hours. He would cry at their door if it was closed. He would follow them around. One year my wife and i decided to buy a Valentine's Day card and a pet safe ink pad. We put is paw print in the card and slid it under their bedroom door.

Giving friends and family coffee he made with his wife's breastmilk? Setting off alarms while his sleep-deprived formally pregnant wife is trying to sleep? Secretly feeding his friend a weed gummy before he got on a flight causing him to have a panick attack mid-flight? Feeding his wife BABY FECES ON TOAST PRETENDING IT WAS PEANUT BUTTER?!
Firstly, this man is practically BEGGING to be served a divorced aswell as to die alone in the future with no one left to wanna put up with him. Secondly, this guy is WAY overdue for a taste of his own medicine.
This guy needs to get pranked so realistically, so horrifically terrifyingly, that he legitimately fears for his life and is convinced that he's gonna die, before it is revealed that it was "just a prank, bro".
Extreme, I know, but if there's any humanity left in that immature bully, he might just have a life-flash at the moment before it's revealed to be a prank, and realize what absolute garbage he was to the people around him with his disgusting pranks.

That was either an unhealthy obsession with OP, or an equally unhealthy obsession with OP's ex. I hope they get proper help, and I hope OP and their child make it through that situation in a positive, constructive way.
Edit: I read some comments, and it sounds like things are looking positive. I hope it all works out for them and I'm glad they're seeking professional help. :)

The journal guy is so weird because it seems like he doesn’t even like the girl as a person. He hates her hobbies, her humor, her career and talents or anything about her that makes her an individual. Why does he even want her if he doesn’t even like her? If he wants a servant without connection to their individuality he could just get a pay per hour rent a partner that looks similar to her, those exist and the people who do that job sign up for being there. So at least then it’s consenting

Object of his obsession, in fact her not being the "perfect woman" probably was something he loved. By the writing he loved the idea that she was a slate he can rewrite. Its very Joe from You, grows obsessed with someone, they aren't into everything he likes so he enjoys the idea of slowly getting her on board with him via coercion. This guy doesn't want her to be a person just someone he can groom into a fantasy of his.
