Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-939-1, -3, -19, -53, -89, -96, -98, -99, and -109 are kept in Cell 1163-A or 1163-B, 10 m x 10 m x 3 m containment chambers within ¦¦¦¦ Bio-Containment Area-14. Both cells are environmentally regulated and negatively pressurized, with walls constructed of reinforced concrete. Access to these cells is regulated by an outer decontamination chamber and inner gas-tight steel ████ doors. Observation windows are constructed of laminated ████ glass 10 cm in thickness protected by a 100kV electrified mesh. Humidity is maintained at 100% at a temperature of 16° C. Specimens are monitored at all times via infrared cameras. Level Four authorization is required to access SCP-939, their containment areas, or the observation chambers.

Hey, sorry about the delay in tonights upload - it took a long time to edit and record. I recorded a massive audio log - editing software crashed and I lost it all. I didn't have the time to record it again (I tried, but i was so stressed out that the performance wasn't something I wanted to upload) ... so i had to cut it out of the final video. It's Addendum 11-14-1981 of SCP-939 if you're interested. This is still a great episode, i'm just dissapointed (as i'm sure you are, too) that it's not 100% complete. But I hope you all enjoy the video regardless.

The fact these creatures are born as human children and the fact the parents didn't resist the confiscation of their offspring seems to imply they are meant to function as some sort of brood parasite. Kind of like certain species of birds that lay their eggs in other birds' nests. And that is horrifying.

I feel sorry for the things kid. 101 seemed genuinely remorseful for its natural instincts. This one is fascinating to me since 101, being raised around others, seemed to 'grow up' fairly normal. Well, as normal as being raised by the foundation can be. That shows that they are capable of intelligence and having actual conversations, even after their transformations. It's sad to see and hear it's remorse at doing what is in its nature to do to survive.

If you get to something else like "Superfluous dialogue redacted" I suggest you use a fast forward sound effect instead of a random (probably far too short) length of the "redacted effect"
SCP 939 could also be known as a Crocotta. Crocotta are mythological creatures probably based on Hyenas. They reproduce entirely on their own, and eavesdrop on human conversations to learn voices and names. It uses these to lure humans and dogs into ambushes. The Crocotta show a grasp of how their prey works, using their prey's name and calling for help, luring them deeper and deeper into the woods, "where no one could hear them scream."

Out of all the classic SCPs (you know which ones I'm talking about), 939 has got to be my favorite. It's insanely well-written for its time, packed with extreme detail that really makes it feel like this is a keter SCP. Also, what's there not to love about these horrific doggos?

Birth and Growth: Surviving offspring, bearing uncanny resemblance to atypical humans, find their way to or are found by adjacent human settlements after a basic growth period, of which is sustained nurtering via undigested meats provided by parent SCP-939 feedings. Being assumed a prepubescent child in need, or through their own means, the "child" becomes inducted into the human society. For all intents and purposes, the child settles and acts as an incubator for initial AMN-C227 dispersal to the unaware human populace.
Maturity and Feeding: Upon maturing, the SCP-939 offspring returns its birthplace, having disperced sufficient quantities of AMN-C227 to be built up by humans in the area. In likely conjunction with the disappearing of the "child" and secondary "bait" effects of AMN-C227, humans will investigate the source of SCP-939, where they will be consumed by the SCP-939 brood and used to further lure subsequent prey with a collected voice repitoire. During this process, any humanoid "pre-molt" SCP-939 offspring will mature into fledgling second generation SCP-939, with a heightened vulnerability adaptation to the region's damaging lighting, improved memory and increased involvement incentive with prey.
Habitation: As hunting grounds become over-hunted, SCP-939 broods will appropriately disperse and relocate based on acrued knowledge collected from second generation SCP-939 in order to adapt more proficient hunting grounds that will ultimately yield to improved adaptive traits for latter generations.
Death: [DATA EXPUNGED]
TL;DR: They're literally new-gen synth Terminators, bred purely to be exceedingly effecient at hunting humans, albeit more subtlely and over an extended period of time. Considering the nature of their reproduction and methodology for sustaining broods, they were probably genetically engineered and were let loose. Ironically, this is one of those incidents were the SCP Foundation fucked up really badly and made shit much worse for themselves without.
I love this one! I really do! It’s a perfect blend of body, psychology, and just good old fashioned slasher horror all wrapped into one! But MY GOD there are just too many damn numbers in this one! 😅

My favorite witnessed encounter with SCP-939 was when a D-class and SCP-939 were arguing about anime and when the D-class said that he watched Sword art online SCP-939 killed him and said "Berserk is better".

I’ve always thought that 939 if raised from birth into adulthood and fed on lab grown human flesh could be used as scp hounds or even guard dogs. They even have a way to amnesticize people they come into contact with. Paired with good handlers I’m sure it could be done although mass use would be unwise as they can be extremely dangerous
