Thank you very much! Yes the smaller scales have so many advantages to them and can be a joy to work with. Hopefully my videos will open more eyes to the pleasure of smaller scales! Thanks for the support!
This is so cool! I’ve been wanting to do Lord of the Rings at a smaller scale than 28mm but I have had difficulties picking a scale and sourcing miniatures!
I can highly recommend 2mm! Storage of figures is easier. Cost is generally cheaper and you can fit some big scale armies on a standard dining room table. I’m really looking forward to getting some games played! Thanks for your support!
6mm is the largest I'd go for LOTR. The enormity of the engagements demands the visual spectacle you only get with the smaller scales. The first copy of White Dwarf I bought contained a scenario for the battle of the Pelennor Fields and you ended up with units of 3 or 4 miniatures in some cases. (I didn't realise there were any other scales than 25mm at that time.) If I had my time again I'd have gone for 2mm before 6, but you live and learn. All my stuff is from Irregular Miniatures.
It's a pity this project has lost traction. I'm salivating over the appearance of the Isengard force! I'm looking forward to them getting a bloody nose at the Dike, I'm wondering whether you'll randomise the chance of the blasting fire even bringing down the wall, and whether you'll put any Rohan infantry together for when / if they arrive on time!
Looks great. Have you ended up using this in the game(s) with Mark? Edit - I just rewatched your battle report and saw it there. Hopefully you can try the siege at some point although maybe S&H would need some siege rule additions.
The keep is looking amazing mate. Wonderful work
Nice to see the smaller scales getting some love. Great inspiration and a fantastic little project.

I'm hoping my painting mojo will return. When it does, this will be the first project I revisit and try to complete! Thanks for your support!
@@TsCreativeRamblings and yours. have purchased metallic Sharpies and I'm pleased with the impact they're having on my 2mm.

We haven’t used it in a game yet but hopefully at some point.
