Wow, I would have had no idea you could grow rice here. I love the idea of using the ducks, and watching that rice planting machine, what I think is also ingenious is how it doesn't get bogged down and stuck.
Wow. I live in Hoi A Vietnam and a lot of rice is grown like it has for centuries. I love watching the stages of planting and growing and harvesting. And they have ducks! Now I know a little more about it. Thanks
Thank's GOD, i was born in Philippines all this stuff i experienced and I was happy because not everyone in this world experienced this kind of wonderful experience...😘😘😘
Wow ! I love to see USA rice products 🌾 in the stores instead of made in Thailand rice. I hope this rice is soft, moist, just like Japanese or Thailand rice, not very dry rice as we see in store. I think the ducks are happy to hear your voice, your singing.
I have a small Rice farm , i really appreciate this kind of integrating Ducks to Rice plantation it help much to reduce Labor and purchasing pestesides and i think theres no Need for fertelizer
For a moment judging by the green vegetation, I thought this was in South East Asia. Turns out its New England (region in United States). Beautiful land.
happy to see you guys doing this job, which we used to do when we were young back in the philippines. its a back breaking job because we dont use machinery before.but feels great when we have abundant harvest. thought only asians can do this job.
Absolute saluti to what you are doing. I wish I could start my community project right now but will have to wait for the opportune moment. My idea is to show young people a way to a healthy and debt free life depending largely on mother nature for food, shelter and energy, all very viable. Gone where the days of aiming to get a higher education to feed the family. Not only that we have been conditioned so much to be useless at anything else to cope independently. All good past skills must be brought back. I will make it a point to pass on such skills and hence would invite people of all walks of life and skills to take part in my project. One of its kind in Borneo. Best wishes, bro. Keep up the good work.
While those ducks were on the paddy do you feed them with extra feeds or they were just feed mainly whatever in on the paddy area? I’m planning to do this kind of method in my small rice fields around an acre. Will 100 heads of duckings will enough or do I need more?
One of the biggest problem in the rice field especially those birds called maya. When the rice starts to bear the grains that’s the time they attack the field. Have you experienced those kind of problem in your rice field? How can we get rid of those birds? Will they attack the rice field while those ducks are still there?
Thank you so much for the advice! Thank goodness I work from home, because today I have to keep running hot water outside, as my hose is frozen!! I need a proper farm with a barn so bad :)

I bet that mud plays the devil with the machines. It always amazed me how they grew rice in a flooded. I first heard of using duck and geese in insect control was in cotton farming. thank for education on rice farming.
Thanks for this video. I am from india and in previous year viplab deb a chief minister of one of the indian state made a statement on the use of ducks in farming. The whole Indian media led by psedo left liberals criticized him . But this video proves that he was absolutely right at that time
Hello! I got into owning waterfowl a few years ago and now have about 50 ducks and ten geese. I’m currently living in PA but plan to relocate to VT in a few years. Would you be able to suggest a watering system for when the temperature is below freezing? Normally I have about ten little tubs that I fill up with the hose as well as multiple kiddy pools. I am looking for a waterer that is heated but also prevents the birds from making the water thick with mud. I’d be willing to spend about $750, more if you think a specific waterer will last me for many years.
There is a really great older book by David Holderread, "Raising the Home Duck Flock." It is a fantastic resource. There is a watering system outlined where the water source is on a wire mesh platform what water can fall through and into a drain of some sort where the ducks can't get at it. The ducks walk up a mesh ramp to get water. This way they can't track mud into their water. With such a system you could use a little heating element and the water would not freeze.
Those ducks think it's heaven being in those paddy fields ❤
You can see he clearly enjoys what he's doing, it may not be very profitable but still satisfying
yes you are Right

The countryside is so calm and perfect for farming.
This man is an awesome person.
Your singing was beautiful.

Inspiring to a beginner farmer . Thanks for sharing.

I bet those ducks are delicious, full of all sorts of wild goodies.
Thank God for our farmers.

Ducks + Rice = Asian Restaurants! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
For a moment judging by the green vegetation, I thought this was in South East Asia. Turns out its New England (region in United States). Beautiful land.
I thought the same. When I was in Thailand I'd see rice/duck farmers then see the ducks for sale in the markets.

Portugal knows all about it. They grow a lot of rice in Portugal.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful ideas!
So you use no pesticides or insecticides?
every time you grow rice you raise new group of ducks? or you only raise one group of ducks that can work few rounds?
Wow those look like some well fed happy ducks! 😃😃😃😃😃😃
While those ducks were on the paddy do you feed them with extra feeds or they were just feed mainly whatever in on the paddy area? I’m planning to do this kind of method in my small rice fields around an acre. Will 100 heads of duckings will enough or do I need more?
We are using khaki campbell ducks on our rice paddys in Thailand. Brilliant ducks 💪💪💪
How much production of rice of one acre.
Nice 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Hi I would like to start duck farming, could please share some details.
Could you please share some details on this method of farming
in America old small farms used to keep the chicken in the corn fields. It worked! Now factory farms only use chemical pest control and fertilizer.
One of the biggest problem in the rice field especially those birds called maya. When the rice starts to bear the grains that’s the time they attack the field. Have you experienced those kind of problem in your rice field? How can we get rid of those birds? Will they attack the rice field while those ducks are still there?
This is really cool man . I use rabbit like that ,isn't duck manure strong though ,?do you use the water level to adjust ppms?
3:30 wow so awesome. The stuff they've developed is simply incredible.
I never knew people grow rice in new england
Tera jesa Sudur bhai ko kaha pata hoga
One day I will have some rice fields, and farm like that, so happy 🤗
beautiful work, respect👍
👌
I love rice and ducks
We have been practicing this technique for black rice production.
I don't think blacks eat bugs. They mostly eat KFC chicken.
@@SoulWhite ROFL😂🤣
Thank you so much for the advice! Thank goodness I work from home, because today I have to keep running hot water outside, as my hose is frozen!! I need a proper farm with a barn so bad :)
A great idea, I would do the same if I have the rice paddies. Do u eat the duck or sell them for meat. ?
That's my dream. I love that environment. Thank you for sharing the video.

I’m very curious if you have mosquito problems farming rice or if maybe the duck integration helps with that..?
Thanks for sharing.really appreciate.
God bless him. 🙏🙏🙏
😊😊Happy Duck Life. These ducks get a wonderful life instead of being raised in small cages.
I can't believe that all those ducklings gathered around to hear him sing.
Wow awesome ,, high tech farming ,,the duck are looks love the environment

Hoorah for the life of a country duck!
Good video. Do you leave the ducks in the paddies, or bring them
Out everyday ?
See the new video for the answer: ua-cam.com/video/2QHeuldQyuw/v-deo.html
Did you grow the loaches?
how many time a week do you let your ducks in the field ?
Waw ! Duck farm. So many hard working. Thanks......
Wont they damage any rice saplings...? By walking over them..? Or any other way..?
7:06 is that duck eating rice
Thank you for the video ♥️🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹♥️
Nice video 👍🏻👍🏻
I never see a white man farming rice , where is this place?
Read the description.
State of Vermont, NE United States.
Arkansas
Perfect location for rice farming with climate change leading to higher temperatures. Further south could be too hot and lead to rice bleaching. 👍
Great videos!
Heyy has anyone tried releasing these crazily awesome ducks on a pomegranate farm for pest control?
very good idea
No artificial ingredients, only duck.
What happens to the ducks? Are they slaughtered for food at the end of the rice-growing season?
Yes, they are. Erik has since started mixing in Muscovy ducks, which are better on the table.
Is the mechanized rice planting machine widely used in China and Southeast Asia?
amazing.. can we have more video about this?
Thanks for this video. I am from india and in previous year viplab deb a chief minister of one of the indian state made a statement on the use of ducks in farming. The whole Indian media led by psedo left liberals criticized him . But this video proves that he was absolutely right at that time

Thank you Fukunaga-san!
Very interesting.
Very nice 👌
very nice sir
Good farmer
Wonderful.
Wow awesome
Is the rice non GMO

Your duck is so very 😂😂 hungry 😂😭
Smart farming
Can you please tell me the name of the pests which are controlled by ducks.? Waiting for your reply.. Thanks
Deer and Elk
Khalid Atkamber snails, insects of all kinds, worms etc
Adam Craig bad ass!
@Arch Stanton crazy ducks ! LOL!
Fantastico
how many acre land???
I nevervtought there is rice paddies in the US
Our ancestors had better ways of dealing with nature. Hope we continue with such organic way of growing food. Reduce the harmful fertilizers.
when the farmer stars singing 😂😂😂
Can rice be direct seeded on the planting field?
you can but not ideal
AI will never beat that
Marvelous. What works in Asia can work in America too - why not?
Give this job to a lucky bunch of ducks, instead of chemical companies.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌
Its awsome
Is this new England usa
❤❤❤
How much does the transplanter cost
There is not in new england, but look like in Vietnam, because the wether look so different ,
Fabulous
No fish?
Fatten em up for duck season
Do u sell the seeds. I would like to purchase about and ounce or so to try out. Thank u
Could you use Canadian Geese?
Guess not. They are not as friendly, may ruin your garden
Geese will eat rice and are too big to fit between the rice plants.
Ducks control the pest
How much the machine price??? Usd
How many duck you have
Awesome...
What will you do with he ducks when turns to matured? Will you sell it them on market?
Yes, the ducks were fattened up and frozen.
Ken French is that like more profitable than just keeping the same set of ducks ?
@@bosstrash8461 15% lower feed cost. so more profitable if you don;t add the extra labour
Their poops r good fertilizer. Organic rice farming. The rice taste better without chemical.
