Between the A2A Comanche 250 and now this BlackSquare TBM 850, us GA pilots are really being spoiled.
For those who may be intimidated by doing the checklists I've seen on other videos, this add-on has a fully working illuminated checklist (even if it breaks immersion a little if used) that all work, which is great to see as many don’t have decent checklists, but Black Square are awesome - after a few goes you get the hang of it - they use all the great work they built before doing the overhaul planes - just awesome - I’d love them to do classic business jets with this level of fidelity & detail at some point ❤
Apparently, this plane is within 2% of the real thing! Truly a gem 😉
I have done two flights with it and just finished the second, I simply never have such amazing flying experience with another aircraft, no word it is just amazing let me speechless with a large smiling, it is incredible so smooth, so perfect! wow!
Have already completed 3 flights with this plane. It is absolutely awesome. Unbelievable how great this plane is. They did a fantastic job on this thing. It has probably just taken the place of the fenix a320 for my absolute favorite aircraft in the sim. Yes, completely different airplanes, but Im talking about attention to detail, the system’s interaction, and the overall flight experience.
I'm really looking forward to getting this. It's very highly detailed!

Absolutely fantastic aircraft! I wasn't sure about how I would enjoy since I've never bought any products from Black Square. Definately worth every penny.

On the annunciator Panel, test to make sure all the lights are working on the panel. Bottom right toggle switch (Test 1 and Test 2).

Uhhhhh, LOVING IT!!!!!! This is the GA aircraft I've been waiting for. Have done a few flights so far and other than having one what I call the 'Black Square Experience' happen, it's been a fantastic aircraft. BTW, the 'Black Square Experience' is when the autopilot decides to not enable and when it finally does, the aircraft violently rolls and disintegrates in mid air. 🤣 I've had this happen with all the BKSQ aircraft I have. No idea why it happens but thankfully it's very rare. Other than that, I have nothing but positives for the 850.
Bought this yesterday and started configuring the bindings with my Alpha/Bravo, etc. The TBM 930 was one of my early favorites in MSFS before all the high-end 3rd party offerings started coming out. The BlackSquare treatment on this airframe is certainly exciting. I don't like to jump around between different airframes and it has been nice to focus on the Comanche and really learn and enjoy it knowing that I'm not going to find anything better in that class anytime soon. I am looking for a higher-performance (Turboprop) to do the same with and this is certainly a candidate, though so far I am very disappointed with the apparent lack of switch-binding support. The FSR500 and PC-12 are coming out soon in this same class so I'm worried that I might regret this purchase soon. Thoughts welcome!
For all of my bindings I use SpadNext for that very reason

I had no idea they were making this, so thanks for the review. I'm definitely adding one to my hangar! Now.. I have three pet peeves that I notice from most flight simmers/non-pilots. I observed #2 and 3 in your video.
1-"aircrafts", should be aircraft, which is both singular and plural . 2-"RPMs". RPM is already plural, no need for the (s). 3- flying around with the Flight Director on when NOT actually using it for flight guidance. Turn that thing off! 😂

I do have a question for you guys. Do I need to install the GTN 750 separately? I always get a black screen, and no menus are shown. Am I perhaps missing a step?
This aircraft has a go back home button do u think thy can activate it at any stage?? It will be a great experience
Nice plane,but on mine,there doesnt seem to be a way to open the left side passenger door.Only the pilots door,and the two baggage doors.

Does it use the default sounds? Yes I know they say they are enhanced but are the underlying engine sounds from the default? Is the model theirs from the ground up or is it msfs with enhancements

Yep and the ones that did all the fantastic steam gauge overhauls for the Caravan, King Air etc but this is a whole plane and not just a cockpit - there sounds, system details are the best in game in my view. ❤

I'm having fuel issues. I cant get the fuel selecter wheel to turn. Removed bindings and still cant get it to move with mouse or anything. Any suggestions?

@@OverkillSimulations yes. I have it on auto, tried shift, and the lever aims at the floor. Engine shuts off a few seconds after starting with no fuel pressure
Now we just have to wait for the PC-12 to be released. Or at least some of us do….LOL.
Really want your honest opinion about the PC-12 compared to this new TBM 850. Its going to be awhile I think before someone out does this TBM. Love this plane.

Anyone getting a studder with this plane every couple of seconds looking out the window this seems to be the only plane this happens to. perhaps i have something set wrong i have I9 11900 32 gb rtx3080 with empty comunity folder tbm850 only plane in sim only happens in vr
ok so after a reinstall of msfs and nvidia drivers all seems to be working normal again. tbm850 is added to the favorite planes to fly

If you search my channel, I have easily 100 videos flying the TBM-930 as well as a tutorial guide on my Patreon site. It was the second guide I ever made. I have been an AVID proponent of the TBM -930 since the launch of MSFS. I didn't do a comparison because to be honest there isn't one. In their own rights they are completely different aircraft. Unfortunately, the 850 is superior in every way I can think of in terms of simulation. Avionics, features, failures, flight model, textures... you name it.
However, I didn't want to compare it because there is still plenty of great things about the 930! They both have a place in the sim but the 850 ( in my opinion of course ) is by far the better of the two aircraft for MY desires in flight simulation :)
I hope that helps answer your concern a bit. Comparing the TBM-930 would have felt like bashing an old girlfriend and I don't do that LOL! She's still a wonderful lady LOL!

I want to love this plane but it seems to have a long turn around time…I like planes where you don’t have to spend 20-30 minutes to go through all of the checkist.
You don't have to once you learn what to skip lol
Trust me it's worth it. One of if not the best I've flown in the sim to date
