It's easy to make an end dump trailer look good at its job on nice level ground like you have here (if you ignore the cycle time of this behemoth)... but I've gone into sites where I felt down right scared to put a normal 40 foot body up in the air. Not to mention... the frame on this thing looks like they stole it from under a railroad trestle... what's this monster's tare weight? Seems to me you could build an ejector of some kind at a much lower tare weight, getting much more in payload, and remaining safer from the possibility of rollover during discharge.
I've operated sliding tipper, except as an A trailer for a B double set. Not wanting to be a dick about this, but I would've had both trailers unloaded in the same time it took to unload this one, including the time it took to unhook and recouple as an A B triple road train. Seems to me you fellas need to invest in side tippers, hell of a lot faster and easier. Have a good one mate, keep it shiny side up. ✌🙂👍
He did say over twice as much as a quad axle ! But the ground where you are going to dump better be LEAVEL, and you certainly could not be driving & spread ! Good for long hauls . Larger hydraulic lines & a bigger pump with a return bypass would facilitate faster operating cycles
Why would a US company risk running into trouble running a Canadian spread on a trailers rear axle group. more likely this is a standard spread with 2 mid singles to keep all axle groups within the legal weight requirements. here is the company name and address Burton Excavating 1396 E Easterday Ave Sault Ste. @@retiredarthritic2083 probably because in the states that trailer will run in the dot recognize that axle configuration. Michigan is one that recognizes that setup.
I stockpiled millions of yards of dirt and rock. I've pushed out and graded many millions more. Dump trailers require yaw to be perfectly level. I never lost one (thank God) but I have seen t plenty of them laying on their side. This truck is way too slow. I see no situation where this truck is beneficial. Time is money. More trouble than it's worth.
I like my dump its 40ft long with a 9ft triaxle. 20ft box pull a pin slide axles under box back in and dump 46000 lbs. Take it back to train and do it again.
OK...different axle weight laws to what I am used to, but seems to have way too many axles. How the he'll do you navigate city street corners without destroying tyres??? Sliding trailers I understand, but with the extra weight of the hydraulics necessary, a fixed chassis tipper would be lighter on tare weight and proportionally bigger payload. Not criticising, just wondering.
That setup has a payload between 35 and 40 ton depending on the tare weight. That setup is recognized in a few northern states for the extra weight. Michigan, northern ohio, northern Indiana and all of New York state. That's probably a 42 or 44 foot long box on a 48 foot frame and that's how it meets the bridge formula requirements.
russell379x No truck with air has an air governor it does not exist. There is an air pump with a pressure shut off valve which is why it cycles in and out. This also indicates that the air system is working properly. Governors are controls for engine revolutions and thus vehicle speeds. They have nothing to do with air systems.
You don't understand anything about the federal bridge formula do you. You need a certain length between axles and groups of axles to be able to haul more weight. That setup in Ontario, Michigan, northern Indiana is legal with around 120,000 gross weight
@@philherbox4052 in italy we have 56 tons limit for trucks with trailer (5 axes) and 44 tons for 4 axes single unit trucks. all trucks are very short( the law is very permessive)
Not really the most practical to use. Or maneuverable. Or safe. Or fast. The only good side was having the ability to raise the pointless axles when empty. That piece of crap must be a real bitch to maneuver loaded with the front most axles on the ground which dont seem to be steerable.
Belly dumps are good for some instences. Like spreading gravel on roads. Yes they maybe safer, but end dumps are better for placing loads more accurate in places.
Really? To move the weight forward onto the Truck axles with the short dump body....and some places require a certain length for a certain weight ( bridge laws)
for all that trailer that all the dirt it can hold, waste of a trailer , you should be able to carry 2 or 3 times of a supper dump, unless you didn't have a full load. rather have a supper dump faster more efficient an easier to maneuver .make more trips. not a bad video.
seriously, i was expecting a lot more dirt to come out the back. the bottom of the tipper needs to be flat. there's probably a rule that forbids it. there are a few cubic metres lost because of that. lots of engineering probably only required because of michigan rules. and a higher centre of gravity too. gee, some of those tyres are going to get some severe side scrubbing. bloody long wheelbase. is this an out-of-town only truck? i'm having trouble working out how it is going to handle the usual car-driving idiots on city streets. it looks like the average semi trailer tipper in perth, australia has a much shorter wheelbase and near the same carrying capacity. and safer dumping on uneven ground.
i've just watched it again. i like the way it squats down when it dumps. this is for sand only. i wouldn't want the drama of big rocks jamming up at the high end then falling out. or sticky clay accumulating on the bottom at the higher end. suitable for sand only. no clay, no rocks, no demolition rubble.
i'd agree. however, if michigan has laws that made this slide dumper a better choice then so be it. look at europe for example that has twin steering axles in some countries. it is only rules that make twin steer axles on rigid tippers a good idea. just a bloody nuisance for countries with different rules.
That's almost the dumbest comment yet. That's the beauty of a large dump trailer, you can haul light stuff in it and get a full load and heavy material and get a full load. All those extra axles add up to payload. That setup is legal with between 35 and 40 tons depending on tare weight.

Fact remains, there two types of end dump. 1st those that have tipped over and 2. Those that have yet to fall over. This is still the case.

Washed sand🙁
WOW!! 8 minutes from start to finish🤦🏽♂️ went and fixed me a snack in the kitchen and the load STILL wasn’t on the ground

With all these axles and the size of the frame plus the load you must be grossing well over 100000 pounds
I'd be already back with my second liad
Load is spelled L-O-A-D not liad
Whoever is doing the camera actions might wanna slow up on the camera movement b/c some people get motion sickness.
It will not be possible to load rolled metal into a trailer with a drawbar, but it is possible into this trailer
8:00 to dump one load
It is a good heavy machine. They are cool. I enjoyed the video.
I did not see him secure his dump gate.
Here What's the usage for slide mechanism?. No meaning at any sense
Looks to me like an END DUMP not a side dump

Hugo amount of iron and Times, in Italy the quantity discharged, they transport it with a fuor- axle dumper, all of this is extremely ridiculous 😂😂😂😂
wHERE IS THIS OCCURING ?
I drive the Europen Mercedes axor tipper semi 5 axle..One diff,trailer 3 axles with supersingle tyres..Halfpipe steel enddump trailer ..40.000kg gross..27.800kg netto.Unloading 20 cubicmeter sand 1 minute ....🙂

Hydraulic backdoor and ejector dump...safety first!!!This is big cubic trailer..With such a large trailer, tipping over is already dangerous...
What's that half of load
Back on up closer to the pile it won't bite you lmao
hard work to watch
Someone tried to reinvent the wheel, and made it flat on all four sides!!! Epic fail!!
watse of money Takes twice as long to load twice a long to unload i have see them tip over.
how many tons can it haul , how long is the dump bed,
Completely inefficient. Takes too long and doesn’t change the legal load limits. An end dump is so much faster.
Unimpressed. More parts. more to break and could it be any slower?.
Is that a Michigan set up
Put a camera on that truck. It would be cool to see it get loaded and watch it haul a full load.
Hey
Or which State, guessing Mitchigan?
Looks like a lot of truck and tires and not enough of a load...the sliding is just so useless and just a mess if it breaks
we carry this amount of sand and stone in my hino 10 wheeler truck in pakistan

the air governor is bad that’s why the dryer keeps cycling

Way too slow to be in the game
Truck n quad get you 39t in half that time
OMG Seriously, it's struggling to lift its own weight. Hideous design. The designers must of been pissed out of their heads when they designed this.
GOD DAMN, U DON'T NEED BUT 2 AXLES!
Nightmare Fredbear Maybe, if you want to haul 40 000 lbs, but for a real load, like 100 000 lbs, you're gonna need 5 axles.
So does it hold more than a super dump..and how much per hour can you charge
Why not just move the wheels forward,( reposition) , shorten the trailer frame & forget the slide ,it would still carry the same load .

How many tonnes payload, or LBS will do, 2nd any steering axles, looks very ungainly, or difficult to get round corners otherwise
Between 35 and 40 tons.
In Ontario could haul 63500 kgs gross with that
Пока он выгружался,я бы ещё рейс сделал. Такой большой,а привез как ГАЗон.
Look at the Chinese trucks, 200 tons 😂

Shite and won't ever be good once the conditions in the yard get muddy just rather get a 5 axle rigid truck.
I like live bottom or belly dump, far safer.
Belly dumps are good for some instences. Like spreading gravel on roads. Yes they maybe safer, but end dumps are better for placing loads more accurate in places.
Live bottom drivers sit down to piss also. Just like the women they are.
what a smal bit of sand in such a huge trailer, must be american design
That's too many axles,,
that trailer is more european style that murcan
Don't see the point of the sliding.

We found another truckin dummy that doesn't understand the federal bridge formula.
