Glad you seem to be liking it so far. I have an STI Spartan with a very low serial that has many thousands of rounds through it, and have never experienced even a hiccup with it. The feed ramp and throat are both factory polished (mine's still got a mirror finish after years of service), and I have yet to need to readjust the trigger for overtravel. The only modifications that have been made to mine were the addition of Hogue overmolded grips, and more recently a switch to a fixed rear sight. If you ever decide to switch out sights, make sure you're looking at the right dovetails, since the rear is a weird kind of "modified" LPA cut that took a lot of machining to get a sight onto, and the front dovetail is an "almost"-Novak, with similar dimensions cut deeper into the slide.

STI makes a great pistol. I have a Guardian 3.9 in 45. It's hand crafted fit and finish make it one of my favorites. The Officer frame fits my hand nicely. Nice review.

you also showed the trigger movement and i like to have a tint bit of pull before it fires...you can feel confident with your staging...set the trigger back and you really do just squeez2 lightly..another thing..on the glock internals polishing is amazing..any metal part in there that moves you will be happy...no 3.5 connector needed..4lb pull easy! love the vids man!

Very nice review. I have one and I think it is the best 1911 value out there. On sale and shipped for $639. Has very few STI parts though, which is a testament to the Armscor quality.

Thank you for talking about your hands brother . I have been putting off posting videos because I lost some fingers on both my hands in a work accident . Like you I didn't want any video to turn into just looking @ my hands . You have helped me with this and I'm going to start posting some videos on guns and reloading and such . Thanks again friend

Please do a complete shooting review on that item. The new background is thousands better than the old. Keep up the great work.

Yeah the vz operator grips( that's what you've got there) are great. They have the grip you need in the front where your fingertips contact the egg crate style checkering. I actually had to take a little 300 grit sandpaper and smooth it down just a bit. Then in the back you've got much less grippy horizontal striping. So you get incredible grip but it won't chew up your skin on your side when carrying it. Only thing is you either are gonna need a little lock tight on the screws or use the rubber washers that came with the custom screw set. Otherwise they will back out on you after a couple hundred years

that was a good trade..you even said its a lower level sti...but see..like rockarmary..etc make awsome 1911's man..they run awsome tooo...i love the cuts on the front of the slide..i find mysel grabbing my g37 slide on the front alot...you made a good deal..sti is not lower quality no matter the gun..they pay deep detailed attention on cuts and machine work...good deal g27's are right down the road..a sti holds value also!

i think you won that trade! Glocks are cool and all but that is sweet.
I would throw an ambi safety in and some xs big dots or some trijicons on top and keep it if it shoots good, but i have a tendency to keep everything.

I like the new back drop. The spartan looks solid in the vid. Not sure how they run; I have no experience with them

i didnt get a good look at the front sight but it looks like one of those fiber optic ones that the rod fell out of.

Great to see you getting into 1911s a bit more (I'm about to pick up my first). Agree with you on the plain rear sight. Is that grip safety pinned down?
Hope to see a range vid of it soon.

The trigger bow doesn't have the tab to adjust the take-up?
