    About the video:
    Welcome to a deep dive into the heart of 'Berserk,' a cornerstone of dark fantasy, where we examine its lead character, Guts, and his profound philosophy, rooted in nihilism. In this video, we'll unpack why Guts stands out from other protagonists, analysing his worldview, his resilience, and his compelling existential struggle that makes 'Berserk' a timeless masterpiece.
    Berserk's manga and anime adaptations have left a significant impact on fans worldwide, owing to its intricate narrative, and particularly Guts' nihilism. Guts, the 'Berserk' protagonist, exemplifies Nietzsche's nihilism in his journey, battling against a world devoid of inherent meaning and moral absolutes.
    'What is nihilism?' you may ask. Nihilism, as a philosophy, acknowledges the lack of objective truth, purpose, or intrinsic value in life. This video will delve into 'nihilism explained,' providing insights into existential nihilism, often related to Nietzsche philosophy, and exploring how it is intricately woven into the narrative of 'Berserk.'
    Berserk's philosophy is far from simplistic, especially when considering the complex relationship between Guts and Griffith, Berserk's antagonist. Griffith Berserk, a character as compelling as Guts, also harbours a philosophy worth studying. However, in this video, our primary focus is the Berserk analysis related to Guts and his experience with nihilism.
    Whether you're an avid fan of the 'Berserk' manga, the 'Berserk' anime, or you're new to this dark fantasy world, join us in this journey to better understand 'Berserk' nihilism, and in particular, the unique philosophy of Guts. This video is not just an analysis; it's an exploration of the very essence of the 'Berserk' narrative.
    The journey of Guts Berserk through despair, resilience, and transformation provides an enriching perspective on existential questions. As we go deeper into this Berserk analysis, you'll see why the 'Berserk' manga philosophy and the 'Berserk' anime have garnered such acclaim, and why Guts' philosophy continues to resonate with audiences around the globe.
    We invite you to subscribe and join us as we explore the world of 'Berserk,' and in doing so, delve into the human condition's core. Stay tuned for more analyses and perspectives on your favourite anime and manga. Enjoy the journey!

    Causality is the law of cause and effect. It is described as a force, one which governs everything . But Guts is like a leaping fish in the river, creating a repal in river to revert the butterfly effect according to himself

    When I first read Berserk I immediately thought of Ivan Turgenov who coined the term nihilism and wrote Fathers and Sons. There was so much Shopenhauer and even a little kurt vonnegut ( think slaughterhouse 5: so it goes as the tralfamodorian nihilistic catch phrase) that I knew the author must have been directly influenced by such works and wanted it to show throughout his own.
    Suffice to say I'm pleased to see essay videos like this as it shows I wasn't off the mark in my assumptions.

    in fact we can not deduct from this series if guts and griffith have the same or not amor fati. we can not know which one has which tendency at least. because they are tested by different scenarios. guts refuses the fate/destiny in a world this destiny is in it's most brutal, ugly and harshest from. griffith on the other hand, accepts his dreamlike fate, until guts leaves him. they both do what suits with the conditions.

    I see what you are trying to say: Life doesn't have to be meaningless (even if it might be intrinsically so), but it can be lived in your OWN meaningful WAY.
    But if Existentialism is the solution to Nihilism, why is the (OWN) WAY of Griffith and the demons better than Guts' (OWN) WAY? This key question is being posponed and man's existential foundation remains (morally) relativistic, and therefore objectively meaningless.

    Guts isn't nihilist. It's stoicism. Stoicism is refusing to be a puppet against fate. Nihilism would be accepting that fate is inevitable. Great video but please change the title and name.

    • @Victor_aeternus002
      @Victor_aeternus002 Рік тому +5

      Other way around, stoicism teaches concepts like "amor fati", which translates to something like "love your fate". The meaning of life according to stoicism is to live in accordance with Nature/God, as rational creatures fulfilling their fated purpose while seeking virtue and wisdom.

      @@SpeedKing.. I am not really sure, the closest would either be philosophical optimism, where one expects the best possible outcomes in all situations, or nihilism where one would reject the very existence of fate itself (or atleast it's authority and control) and rely on oneself for meaning and purpose.

      @SpeedKing.. Рік тому +2

      @@Victor_aeternus002 I'm really interested in this stuff but I have no idea where to start. Imagine someone that knows stuff isn't always gonna go their way, but they also always try to make the best of the situation instead of accepting it as it is given to them. They know not everything works out for everyone but they still keep trying and refuse to accept the circumstances they are in if they do not match what they want. I would be really thankful if you told me this man.

      @@SpeedKing.. Again, I am not sure if I know a philosophy that is like that. It just sounds like free will, but that's more of a philosophical concept/term than an entire philosophy. The closest I can think of is metaphysical libertarianism or nihilism(similar to Guts' philosophy as explained in this video).
