Edgardo - Thank you for putting this video on the internet. You taught this rhythm to be over twenty years ago and I have never forgotten it. I have taught it to others as you taught it to me, including it's history. I also appreciate your comments about making this rhythm your own. There is so much room for variation. Now this is available to the world.
Thank you so much for making this video. This is a rhythm that I've wanted to learn, but I didn't know the name of it. A variation of it is played on one of my favorite records, 'Mambo Sinuendo' by Manuel Galban and Ry Cooder. I tried to learn it from the record but I couldn't get it. Your video made it easy and fun to learn!
Hi ! thanks for these great lessons n Your approach is unique : both lively and precise. I was wondering : does the Mozambique have to follow a 2/3 or 3/2 clave ? or does the one stays on the same beat whatever the clave may be ? I'm learning the rhythm with a cowbell doing claves on my left foot and I don't know if I should learn both combinations... Thanks again 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Muchos gracias! I have very much enjoyed your tutorials and videos! They have been invaluable during this pandemic to keep me working on new styles that I have always loved listening to but never learned to play. I was hoping you could tell me the name of the song that you are singing. I recognize it but I can’t place the recording that I have heard before. If you see this, could you post the title of the song and potentially the lyrics?
Excellent teacher, great philosophy behind the teaching.

nice videos, did you stop posting videos?

I only have 2 congas. So I will have to tighten it up.
Yeah! Go for it! There is a lot that can be done with two drums! Thank you for your comment and support.
Thanks. Are you playing two different feels - one like the first video where 3 and 4 in each bar are tones, and one where they're slaps?
