CLASSIC MINI CUSTOM TOOL CABINET

With the new year, I had to focus on completing projects and tasks that were already in motion and only partially completed. Two of those projects included my custom mini tool cabinet along with custom drawers that store my Mini World Magazine collection. These projects are now complete and I can move on to others…. Good to see you back on YT it's been a while. Love the garage and tool box. I had an Austin A35 in the sixties the only thing speedy about it was the speedwell blue paint.

That is magically cool. The drawers are spectacular. I see a million ideas and a million decisions to make these projects.....looks like you got them all right!

@@LoneStarMini I have one Mini which is rusted all along the floor. I don't take the car apart because...well, I'll forget how to put the others together.
There is an REI store in Washington DC and they have a VW wagon thing on display. It is raised on a platform.
I was so impressed with it I decided that would be the way my Mini would be stored.
If you took that same floating platform idea I wonder if it would compliment what you have built so far.

I've got those same stubby ratcheting wrenches. They work so well for getting into the hard to reach spaces on a Mini! How did you make the badge drawer pulls?

Hey Joe! Yes, those stubby wrenches work rather well …. As for the drawer pulls, I purchased some simple Metal drawer pulls from a local hardware store (Home Depot) and grinded the face flat or to the contour of the badge. I then bonded the pull to the badge with JB weld. If ever needed, I can still remove and use the badges….

Hey Now Dave... I'm here and still fiddling with my mini. We've had an Italian Exchange student come live with us and we have done our best to show her Texas by traveling whenever possible. Therefore barely even opened up the shop during her stay. However.. I have since starting cleaning and looking at subframe and radius arms. I have a video in mind that may be coming up soon now that I've had a tool made. It's a topic that not many people discuss in detail, but small details matter to me. I'm here and will get back into the swing of things.. Thank you ever so much for checking in... I LOVE my minis, but I also love my family.
