First, the bond has been reduced to $175m not £175. The fine of $454m has not been reduced that stays in place. The repeal court has yet to decide if this stands , is reduced or he is let off.

Thank you, yes! The fine hasn't been reduced, the *bond* was reduced to $175m, but if he loses the appeal he's still on the hook for the full fine amount plus the nearly $112k/day interest.

The damages haven't been reduced have they? Just the bond amount. He's appealing the c 500m and the lower bond just allows him to appeal the larger awarded figure. It may still not be reduced at appeal.
