I might be wrong but Yuki serapim code hello world is more of a reference of a programmer expect. As she is a hacker.. nornally the 1st programming lesson is teaches the user to display the word "hello world" with the programming codes.
Literally the funniest game I've ever played. And the MC is the HORNIEST MC ever, even though the game is so tame, there's literally zero fan service -- unfortunate. This game is ten times more Japanese than any Chinese gacha game, and it's extra apparent if you understand Japanese. So much wordplay and direct cultural references. I love that you can farm infinitely and that the game has no energy mechanic.
also it seems like they localized it really well too??? usually when games are translated the references seem off or weird in context with the story and even the jokes. but most the ones in here flow and fit well it seems like they put in a lot of effort for global fans to enjoy iy the same way whilst keeping its charm since i keep hearing how the translations havent been too bad especially for a gacha game.
Loving the gameplay loop of HBR. As a JRPG player, the mix of visual novel and JRPG kind of exploration is just my thing. I also find the story very mysterious and immersive. Not counting its turn-based battle system which is akin to Atelier series. Great impression!
It's wild you can make a statement like 'the game isn't doing well' on what was basically day one of its release, lmao. It probably will do just fine to keep going, with low engagement numbers, and a handful of very dedicated whales.
Im a huge legend of heroes fan, which is a series of visual novel jrpgs, so this game is right up my alley, story seems good, combat seems alright, the humor is top notch with just the right amount of cringe. Im glad its finally over here and not locked to Japan forever lol
The one that hook me to the game is the Yuki and Ruka comedy(although some are not funny for me). Hopefully they add more illustration in the story and add more character expression. maybe it just my expectation but i kinda feel for some part in story they can add some picture of a thing that they take or use .overall it is a good game though
Hey Zackie I was about to play the game and realized the game is only English sub not dub? Can you please confirm if there's an English dub available for this game? Thanks a lot man!
I fell in love with this game in 2022 JP version got really really far . But everything was in JP was really hard to understand. So I uninstalled it 😢😢😢😪 sadly . I'm so happy its Global sadly I have to start all over Amazing game tho . This and reverse 1999 are 2 of my Favorites
Definitely feels like there are too many gachas out there at times. Choice is great but competition means there's there's only so much time and money available foreach gacha so they gotta get creative to one up the competition and retain as many players as possible I suppose
Its not shoved in your face. Yuri isn’t my thing also but it’s more of a side gag here rather than a full blown main theme. The comedy is pure gold you really need to give this game a go for that alone.
There's barely yuri in this game though. People that said there's yuri, just very self-conscious. When I play the game, I only get friends teasing each other.
I tried to give this a chance but was incredibly bored after a few hours of literally just walking around and talking and talking and talking. No thanks.
What the other guy said. HBR is a visual novel first, gacha game second so story, the dialogue, the characters are its main selling point. If you can't sit through and enjoy it, game's just not for you.
i really wanted to play this so bad bc its the writer of Angle Beets, but the DEI translation's ruined it for me in the first 15min... and i cant trust that im getting the real story or someone injected writing. if you want to know why i called it "DEI translations" its its in prolog, the JP VA says "thanks" in English with her real voice, but the translated text says "gracias" then go's back to English text. then the main characters dialogue choices are like over the top zoomer language and it feels unnatural. this is just my opinion and experience on why im disappointed in the game.
I'm very unknowledgeable about the subject, but I'm curious why the "gracias" part doesn't make sense to you. Is the joke in the jp version not that she's saying thanks in a different language? If she said thanks in English in the text the joke wouldn't land. Also take this with a grain of salt, but I've only seen people praising the translation and localization of the game. I've also seen people confirm that the unhinged jokes are the same in the jp version. I feel like it's a bit quick to write it off just from that. Maybe you just don't like the way the story is written.
@@fadedfiction2733agreed, ive played up until chapter 1 day 11 and there are so many unhinged jokes translated accurately. I don't think a DEI team would willingly do that. I guess some people aren't willing to sit down a bit longer and see what more the game has to offer. 1 joke you don't really like shouldn't deter you from playing through the whole game imo.
that's... like normal thou? in nikke they also change CEO mustang speech because he used mix of japanese and english, but that won't really capture it if we translate it all to english. Hence the english word that the original jp voice translated to france instead to give the same "trait".
I think you've let politics rot your brain if you can't enjoy silly waifu generators because you're afraid of "dei"--the localization seems fine. And unless you know Japanese it's the only way to experience the game, so it's strange to get triggered by one little thing like this.
Wait, *WTF?* Are you seriously saying that in this day and age, the year 2024 there are _still_ new turn based jrpgs where you have to select commands for the whole party at once and they are only executed after you selected them for the whole party even though this the worst garbage ever old games only got away with because it was still the dark ages of game development back then? Everyone unilaterally hates this style because it it's frustrating bs that makes no sense, if your commands are not executed right away you often run into bs like trying wasting a turn to a heal a character that already died or was otherwise healed enough already to need need any more, hitting an enemy not with the element they are weak to but one that does normal or even half damage and in some cases even healing an enemy because the original enemy died faster than you thought and the target switched to an enemy draining the element you use, etc. Not to mention that even if there are no major screw ups, there is _ALWAYS_ a hell lot of inefficiency, all the strong skills and low mp costs and whatnot don't mean jack because you end up using skills that aren't actually that great at the time the characters do use them because you had no way of knowing what the situation will truly be one that character finally gets their turn. It's so unbelievably dumb and frustrating, it's one of the main reasons Idola Phantasy Star Saga flopped hard because Sega were too stupid to realize how much this crapifies gameplay.
I'm really enjoying it. Yuki and Ruka's comedy act never seems to get old

it really is just a generic gacha game using jun maeda's name as a selling point, so it's technically a visual novel with gambling system added
I mean it is jun maeda though
In my opinion, we need games that can be played, not just watched. It's like a visual novel.
I mean.. 'duh' because it is a visual novel? It's not for everyone for sure, doesn't mean it's bad, you're just not the target audience that's all.
Visual novels are good too though.
Because it is a visual novel?
