People tune their bikes to do that. Never really understood why. I think that it is there to stay as a result of the baffles being taken out of the exhaust.
Nat, you sound so keen on the Virago I can only put it down to love on the rebound! It's because you know you should not have let the XS650 get away! 🤣🤣🤣
Them viragos are nice I was considering one before I bought the Thundercat I’d put some ape bars and a snake skin saddle on it but lovely bike all round will enjoy seeing it worked on
Good luck if you take the carbs off to clean, I'll be doing a Virago 535 complete carb rebuild in the next week, I've sonic cleaned the bodies and now waiting for the new kit to turn up to rebuild them. They are a shit to get off and put back on and they have so many parts to them Yamaha went way over the top.
Hi nat mike here again mate those dragbars look much better than the bars they come with much better bro ;-), but still dont like the 535, 750 or the 1100 virago much better ;-) cheers brother,
Did you ever did into the carbs? If the pipes were straight through the carbs would need jetting! I'm considering one as a first bike as I like the cruisers. I only drive at 60-70 most of the time and have no wish to pretend I'm carl Fogarty like most of the power rangers do! Do you still have the xj900 that was a nice old bus?!
Its looks a little docile Nat, does it feel underpowered or were you just taking it easy. I've never had one so no idea what it should be like. I love its style
@@steveandfamily7248 I will have a closer look later. It might have seemed like under powered as I was taking it really easy early in the morning in a strange bike.
NICE, sounds like a bloody rocket ship taking of and that is a good thing, i can hear that popping backfire but it is not annoying

You should hear the popping on my harley, it's crazy.

You might be right mate but my affection for the XS grew. The virago I like from the off!
@@NatsNackersYard I was tempted by a 1100 virago but hate wire wheels lol
They are a pain!
So cart blanche on paint work aka Nats trademark lol.
Loose the bag, change the bars and sort out that noisy fuel pump....nice👍
Thanks mate. I am ok with the pump as it is only on startup. Hate the bag though!

Snake skin saddle! Which one of us was born in the 70’s?!!!

I am hoping not to have to do it. I really don’t think that it needs it.
Oh and thanks for the tip of xs filters. I think that it helped.
Didn’t realize that you had a channel too. I have just subscribed. Your virago vids will be really useful I am sure.
Great video nat loving the new bike mate
Cheers buddy. I am looking forwards to giving it a proper leg stretch.
@@NatsNackersYard I bet u can’t wait to polish that up and make it your bitch 😉👌🏻
to finish the saying ‘But you can roll it in glitter’.
You could hear the fuel pump clattering away on Ignition. I doubt those carbs be gravity fed then.
Good point. It certainly has a fuel pump!

I like the bar but I am not convinced yet. They could make lane splitting interesting!
Really nice bike
Thanks mate

It was a long time ago but, if I remember correctly, It had been rejetted.
Ride that clutch baby😅
Yeehah!

It’s a shaft drive (like my diversion) so it’s not an animal but I was taking it easy as it was only seven thirty!
@@NatsNackersYard ohhh right. Yes makes more sense. It sounds healthy and looks amazing
You seem to be slipping your clutch loads bud
Let me just jump back two years and fix that! This was also the first time that I rode it which might explain the caution.
@@NatsNackersYard yes bud, you did well.
@@NatsNackersYard I've just got one and am bobber ing it, explains why I'm 2 years late
Would this be a good first bike???
Yes mate, they are quite sedate. I would personally steer clear if you are over 6 foot though.
That's definitely not running right. I've a 535 it sounds like it's only running on 1 cylinder
Balances fine and both exhaust are running hot. Don’t think that its on one cylinder.
Probably carbs. Definitely not running right seems very underpowered. Check the diaphragms it's a common fault in the virago

Rubbish presentation
Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to make a comment on a three year old video. I do hope that you feel better for it.
