Lol, it's beautiful. I've read dozens of times about how their personalities clashed, but what I didn't know was that Jamie was originally supposed to be the only host, but felt like the pilot show would need more personality. He had already known Adam from his previous job, so he brought him on board. Sometimes, when I watch Jamie's reaction like mentioned above, I wonder how much is genuine and how much is schtick. If it's genuine, I wonder if his brain is going back to his decision to bring Adam in and regretting it lol. Either way, for the viewers, they're great together. Adam is certainly more extroverted and entertaining, but I sometimes relate more to Jamie's no-nonsense, all-business attitude. (Source for Jamie voluntarily bringing in Adam was a Q&A Jamie did at some library. Vid is on UA-cam)
@@ThePshoit’s funny, when I watched MB as a kid I’d think “man, Jamie can be a real wet blanket at times!” And now even though that’s still true, I find myself relating more and more to him as I get older
You don’t say. It was good in 2008, the internet practically didn’t exist so we couldn’t really compare with other sources of info/entertainment, so everything was novel. For example, SmarterEveryday did more dangerous experiments than MB, but didn’t use as much protection. Because MB does it for the TV so they overdo everything, including danger and protection, when a lot of this doesn’t require full-on experimental protocol. But it is fun to watch.

the MRI myth popped up in the series House, when they used an MRI machine to extract a confession from a death row inmate who had prison tattoos, where sometimes the ink that is homemade in prison can contain high levels of metals in order to get the dye to color. they cranked up the machine and the magnets started to mess with the metal in the tats, causing the inmate a ton of pain til he confessed to a crime.

I feel like on the first try, if Adam had pursed his lips before letting any water in, and then fully wrapped them around the stem valve of the tire instead of sucking at the bubbles, he might have succeeded.
he cant do that, because he was using the lid of the valve stem to push the little prong in the middle. it doesnt air out just by unscrewing the cap. you have to push the needle in the middle to let air out.
if you are driving on the most left lane on a german autobahn at 200mph , there will be always an BMW/Audi behind you headlight flashing you or giving you a left turn signal, because you are slowing him down to much :D

Two problems I want to address: Thumbs breaking isn’t just the airbag going off but rather the impact from steering wheel against the hands. And the speed cameras at night vs daytime. Will the flash at night react to the lenticular lens or the reflective cover/spray?
The airbag just isn't in the right position, for any reasonable way of holding the wheel, to apply a ton of backward force to your thumbs. Even if they're already damaged, they're stayin' on.
Not sure which type of paintball marker they were using that registered 190FPS, but my Tippmann was dialed in at 300FPS which was the max limit the course allowed...but it could go higher.
i had a heavily modified tippmann spyder back in the day, with the spring backed all the way out (basically one thread keeping it from falling off!) it wouldnt get under 440fps. i think the 18 inch dye boomstick barrel didn't really help slow things down. but it was pretty accurate well past 50 yards!
