- Does your Range Rover Sport L320 TDV6 feel sluggish on the first 3000 rpm?
If so try following our simple step by step guide on how to do an EGR delete and see the results, the throttle response is phenomenal, the power is epic, the feel is just how it was when it was new...

Bravo per aver spanato le sedi delle viti del condotto di aspirazione !!!!
Brilliant video, thanks guys.
I have a 55 disco 3 which I bought used, a few years ago. It drives better than any other D3 I have ever driven and I’m convinced it has been ‘Penny’d’, because the EGR pipes are still on the vehicle. This would have been done by putting a 1 penny piece at the end of each ECR pipe. Up to 56 modules didn’t need a remap.
However……
I also have a 2010 3.0 RR Sport that has just cracked the driver’s side Air Intake Manifold, which I will get my local Indy to replace (Both) of. And the Elbow and seal going into the ‘Y’ shaped throttle body / EGR input plastic body, which has on occasion also leaked in the past. A smoke test definitely now shows the intake Manifold is cracked, which is common on the 2010 models.
Watching your video, I’m tempted to ask them to delete the EGR’s at the same time so that hot exhaust gasses don’t damage the new Intake manifolds.
Once the EGR’s are removed, I’m certain this vehicle will need a remap. How easy is it to do?
I’m fairy certain that my Indy has the computer kit to be able to do this remap. But I don’t want to risk over pressurising the new intake manifolds and cracking them again.
What are your thoughts?
Many thanks in advance.
I'm a landrover mechanic and the tork screws on the intake manifold didn't grab, probably because the blanking plate is a lot thicker than feeder tube.
Definatly stripped the thread on both intake screws 🙈
Thanks fellas, very informative, I was wondering about the butterfly valve! I bought a blancking kit about a year ago but thought it had to replace the actual EGR valves and the work required to access them put me off, after seeing this I will look at it again.
Hi Raymond Smith, putting the EGR blanking plates is very easy and a home DIY job if your a handy man. I would encourage you to give it a go but please be careful as you remove the bolts as they are tricky and will fall down if you don’t be careful.
Let us know how it goes and if you need any help please don’t hesitate to PM us.
All the best 👍
@@zabzproject1416 Thank you for the reply and the very kind offer of help. I would say I am pretty handy, just lacking motivation. Mine is a Disco 3 but same engine. I will have a go when I get it down of the axle stands as I am currently replacing the transmission oil, filter and pan,, as the mood takes me :-) I've got it on SORN at the moment due to Lockdown etc. Thanks again
@@rayjennie no worries it’s my pleasure, that’s brilliant full on service followed by EGR delete you’ll see a huge difference in acceleration response and you def won’t regret it 👍
i guess I am pretty randomly asking but do anyone know a good website to stream new series online ?
@Karsyn Avery i would suggest Flixzone. You can find it on google :)
You were doing well untill you over tightened the T30's and spun out the threads in the inlet manifold 🤦♂️
Yeah I saw that I was like 😮
Nice, keep up the good work. Respect
Thank you, we appreciate your support 👍
I’ve took mine off seems to have lost power do you take lights of
I have a similar problem with a 2006 Range Rover sport 2.7 .. the car is practically dead up to 3000rpm, it barely starts from a standstill as if it were going without a turbo at all .. when you refer to it in your description, it behaves the same way your car
After that how did you clear all the fault codes? they didn't come back afterwards?
Same thing with me I have code came up after clearing it will come back after a week what did you do?
@@dainsookdeo7086 I know this comment was 9 months ago but you have to get the egr coded out the system
my kahn edition 2006 had just failed its MOT today for having this mod done to it, well gutted 😭
It’s an egr delete what did u expect
Did you really rip out the plastic threads , ! They don't need to be over tightened!
Hi not at all, they were good but you & other comments are 💯 right .. they don’t need to be over tightened 🤦🏽♂️
Mistake learnt for the future 😊
Hiya , hope u don’t mind me saying , need to remove the butterfly valve , pin reinstalled , plus if u remove the egr pipes it will fail an mot, can leave the blanks on the engine block , then refit pipes , clean map sensor , ensuring not to put anything down the map sensor hole , after 2007 needs the egr delete software , hope that may help and thks for sharing
Thank you for the feedback really appreciate it
I’m going to put the range on computer as it had few faults before, it’s my first attempting to do EGR delete thought it would be a good idea to share and get guidance such as you have provided me with. 👍
zabz project hi, ur so welcome and glad it helped , just what I’ve learned over the years , am a D3 owner and very similar to the RRS , funny enough saw the ref errors , lol, personally use a gap iid , expensive but extremely capable , Plse let us know how things go and indeed is brilliant and big thks u took the time to share the egr process
Hi Gary, I saw your UA-cam video of the D3 disco loved the move it did awesome.
Lol yeh the errors on my dash are crazy at the moment, it’s first time experience on me owning my RRS but learning as I’m looking more in to the faults.
I was looking into the Gap iid tool they were going around £490 plus if I remember correctly but I need to invest in one as my suspension is the next thing on my list which I will be making a video of hopefully soon.
But mainly thanks to you and people like you who give me motivation and support to do more and give me feedback
zabz project , hiya , glad u liked that , lol, indeed ref diagnostics , check out island 4x4 in Kent , think there around £430 on there , also basic one , but doesn’t do suspension calibration is an AUTEL AP200 , around , £50.00 , ur so welcome and always nice being able to share info like ur good self has also done, makes life a lot easier owning these motors and there gremlins , had landies 30 x years and the D3 I have has been the nicest one so far , look forward to videos and thks again for taking the time to make them
Hi Gary,
Thanks for directing me towards the tools I’ll definitely have a look.
Wow 30 years you must know your way around these cars lol.
Great thing for me is making these type videos and getting help from people like you Gary and others who have knowledge and give me great feedback, makes me want to carry on doing stuff like this so for those who have same problem but can’t reach the rite guys can do via these type of videos.
Thanks again to all for the support and feedback
this is not a delete its blanking off, if its an electrical problem with the egr then it will still give you the same problem as its still telling the ecu, you need to go into the ecu & delete the egr from there thats a delete
Hi, you mean with a scanner, delete the EGR?
Cause i have a 2006, RRS, Deisel, and i have the Code P140B-00, I want to do the EGR removal.
I have blanked off the EGR Valves on every car I have owned.and it the best mod I have ever done.you might have been better off cleaning the EGR valve and then fit the blanking caps
I agree with you 💯 blanking of the EGR valves has given the car a better response in acceleration..
Your also right we should have cleaned the egr before putting the blanking plates but as mentioned in the earlier comments it’s our first time and we are 💯 still on the learning path & we appreciate your guidance 👍
Hi, mine has come up with the same error messages. How can I get rid of them permanently as they keep appearing intermittently now 🤔
Same thing with me
What did you do ?
do you blank the coolant lines to the egr cooler too ?
After doing a delete will you need a remap
Hi yes you would need a remap. 👍
Have you a link for the item please or the exact name? Please
Saludos tengo rrsport 2006, me dio fallo de egr p0405 ,p140d, puedo eliminar egr del mío 2.7 diesel, sin software?, gracias
Nice one. Well worth doing.
Thank you 👍
Will this work on the 3.0 diesel 2009?
Hello mate, you had all the check lights before de egr delete?, or they appear after, im gonna buy the cat and egr delete kit, but want to know first if appear just the check engine lights or all the lights you had.
Hi my lights were on before due to the battery being weak 👍
I'm thinking of converting a range rover sport to an Overland vehicle
Paul Skywalker I would love to see that conversation, please make sure you make a video and upload on UA-cam for us to see your project,
All the best 👍
And then it fails the mot
It's a 2.7 tdv6 diesel ?
You didn't plug in the IID Tool and delete codes and see if the EGR throws a code?
It was done later on, which wasn’t shown on video unfortunately.
@@zabzproject1416 Well what codes did it throw if any?
@@johnnyquid3350 the codes we had were not related to the EGR delete, unfortunately the Range Raver Sport had suspension issue and the codes that had came up were related to them & engine management light came on due to disconnecting the battery but once the reset was done it was gone.
Hope that helps.
Talked me out of doing it 😂
Thabks for this video. I just had mine done and the same faults came up. How do you get rid of them. Thank you in advance.
Hi if it’s the dash warning lights due to EGR delete, the ECU will have to be remapped.
Once that’s done all lights/error codes would be reset.
Hope that helps 👍
Should of left pipe in my g!!!!
why over tighten hahah
hi why don't you just block off one end, and leave the egr pipes in place?
Hi that’s one way to do it but the kit came with both parts to block off so we ended up blocking both sides.
Tu l foirer la vis du bas 😅
