I currently have a 22 mt09 and I just keep thinking of the day I eventually move up to the R1. Congrats bro. This is definitely an amazing blessing to have. Please keep posting more about the R1 journey!

I've had an R1 for 2 years and I'd rather trade it for an mt09 because this thing is killing my back bro lol. Grass is always greener on the other side. I'd rather be comfortable riding for longer tbh.

Nice. I saw the same one (black) on the streets of Sydney the other day with aftermarket pipe. Sounded amazing. Just want to warn anyone thinking of buying that they're releasing a 'final' variant next year for American and European markets. It has wings and revised suspension.

Congratulations.
Once you get the rear fender sorted out, remove those rear pegs as well and get a rear seat cowl. That will tidy up the tail section, will look 👌
And finally, get a decat exhaust, these bikes are very heavily restricted, a decat exhaust will sound beautiful 😍 . These bikes sound like a gp bike with an after-market exhaust.

I would stay away from BT moto for the tune. I have it on my 2020 R1. Chris Moore is less money and great performance. BT changes the firing order too which nets you nothing, just extra work

It’s like if you want to be UA-cam bike famous you need to buy an R1, RSV4 or an S1000RR which were all the three bikes that you considered. Enjoy the ride and be safe!!

It’s because they’re the best bikes. By the time you add ABS to the CBR and zx10, all the Japanese bikes are around the same price
If you want to be famous on YT the get an H2R and a Turbo Busa and make a series to put them head to head

This might be a noob question how do you monitor the gas instead of opening your gas tank lid to see how much gas is left
Usually there will be a fuel gauge on the cluster. The R1’s don’t have a gauge, just a fuel light when low.
